I just realized what was meant by "First Gentleman".  I don't know why it didn't click until this episode.

I can't believe they agreed to the wellness booths during the holidays. 

It's interesting to see all the conflicts playing out.  Marvella the chef continues to show how crazy she is.  I can't believe she poured out all the sugar on the floor.

Yes, I didn't understand why Lily (I think that's her name?) wasn't fired after that debacle.

I'm gonna assume the whole us vs them nature of the house is relevant, but not in the way it was presented.  Normally, I'd be trying to figure out whodunit, but I am enjoying the ride.

I am really loving how this show is shot.  That we get to see scenes, in whole or part, from different perspectives, and how the jumps in time really work for the story telling.  Like how we saw last episode the chef just sitting on the kitchen floor, everyone just stepping over him, and now we know why he was there.  

I love the battle of the chefs.  

I love that Cordelia carries around a giant book on birds.

I haven't watched a cooking show in over 10 years, but aren't Marvella's tantrums supposed to be based on Gordon Ramsay? Or is that a super chef stereotype in general?

I mean I wouldn’t blame Bronson Pinochet for killing AB for not being moved about being depicted in gingerbread. 
 

I laughed so many times during this episode. 

 

But I was really invested in the gingerbread saga

What I don't understand, is that FBI Agent Park gave a whole theory about the pastry chef killing AB in the game room. But Cordelia said in the first episode, that AB was killed somewhere else and moved to the game room. So why didn't she say any sort of a correction to Park when he gave his theory?

I like how Park pointed out how crazy it is to make a literal volcano cake in a house that famously burned down once. 

That wellness Christmas looked terrible, no wonder they got torn apart and probably lost some big political points, its amazing nobody got fired. 

The classic Food Network clash between the scrappy angry genius chef who started out of a food truck and the dignified classically trained European chef who wants everything done precisely and has cooked in castles.
