LuvMyShows March 8 Share March 8 As the couples meet at the altar, they each face the ultimate test of love: Will they say "I do" to marriage, or call the whole thing off? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152271-s08e13-the-weddings/
snarts March 8 Share March 8 A bit surprised Monica & Joey didn't go through with it. They seem great together. Not surprised with any of the others. As boring as this season was at times, I do appreciate that the women stood up for themselves & their beliefs & didn't succumb to the pressure to go through with the marriages.. 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152271-s08e13-the-weddings/#findComment-8601375
LakeGal March 8 Share March 8 (edited) I thought it was interesting that Joey said Monica had never said she loved him before the wedding ceremony. I could tell Virginia was going to say NO. I was surprised Devin didn't realize it. I guess he thought she would not be so set on him signing the prenup if she was not going to marry him. I was happy for Daniel & Taylor. Politics and religion really played a part in some of the couples choices. LuvMyShows March 8 Author Share March 8 My thoughts on the couples: Sara should never play poker. Girlfriend had her anxiety all over her face, so no surprise that she said no. I'm up in the air about this one, because Ben's lack of awareness of some social issues may or may not indicate something underlying. I know that with my own husband, his empathy and awareness on social issues has grown a lot over the course of our marriage, from starting with solid values, kindness, and respect. It seems like Ben has genuinely solid values, kindness, and respect, but just may not have been as introspective and aware as she would like...but can he grow to be what she wants, or is she looking for a unicorn that matches her in every way (which she said she knows isn't realistic, but....). Or is Ben just a really good actor? In all the getting ready chatter, Virginia was just not matching the level of excitement of her friends and family, so her saying no was not a total surprise. I found it interesting that she said Devin basically held certain topics off limit. I wonder if he thought that the topics would be too divisive, so he sort of put his head in the sand about them, including whatever was going on (or not going on) with sex. I was surprised about Joey and Monica. It's almost like with all the communicating they did, they just didn't quite talk through their emotions the way they should have. I almost feel like their saying no was one big miscommunication. And how truly terrible if that sister had any actual effect on their relationship not making it...if so, one or both of them are not mature enough for marriage. Who would have guessed that Taylor and Daniel would be the only ones to say "I do"? I hope these crazy kids make it! But not having had sex yet, with that not being due to an intentional decision as a result of conversation, is a bit of a concern. The previews for the reunion look pretty intense. Glad we don't have to wait a week! All I know is that whatever Nick Lachey did to his face, doesn't look good (hair dyed too dark? dorky haircut? gained weight in his face?). 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152271-s08e13-the-weddings/#findComment-8601390

I’m gonna have to watch it again because I could’ve sworn it was Monica saying that Joey had never told her that he loved her except at the altar. But regardless, as LuvMyShows said above, they just had really bad communication about this issue. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152271-s08e13-the-weddings/#findComment-8601613
Samwise979 March 8 Share March 8 Did anyone catch the comment from Virginia that Devin kept a wedding gift cheque a secret from her? I wonder if the amount was so large, he was trying to be sneaky and keep it as his money before entering the marriage (re: prenup). So happy for Taylor and Daniel! Who knew with that first cliffhanger of her thinking he might be a stalker they'd end up here. I hope they make it! 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152271-s08e13-the-weddings/#findComment-8601652

And I called foul when he said it, because I could have sworn that at least once, I remember Joey saying to her "I have a lot of love for you" in response to her presumably saying "I love you", and I had thought it was a bad sign that that was his response. Plus I can't believe that at the very least, she wouldn't have said it in the pods! 26 minutes ago, ichbin said: I was up until seeing how much happier he was with his buddies than he ever seemed with her. I actually thought they had seemed very happy and playful together many times. 1 hour ago, Samwise979 said: Did anyone catch the comment from Virginia that Devin kept a wedding gift cheque a secret from her? I seem to remember her saying it about Joey as they were teasing her hair while she was getting dressed for the wedding, and he said it about her after she noped out on the altar. I could be wrong though, since I was bored and multitasking during the episode. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152271-s08e13-the-weddings/#findComment-8602298

But I'm not familiar enough with Instagram to know: if he did friend and unfriend her, wouldn't there have been a record of that? They acted like when she checked whatever they checked it absolutely ruled out him having looked her up. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152271-s08e13-the-weddings/#findComment-8602333
NeenerNeener March 10 Share March 10 (edited) According to Google some stuff called "Stories" disappears after 24 hours, so it all depends on how he classified it in IG. She did remember seeing a holiday picture of the guy in a Christmas scene when she started researching her stalker. She just didn't remember it exactly like the one they showed at the end of the episode. But it was close enough to make me wonder when I saw the picture of Daniel in the Christmas onesie in the chair in front of the fireplace. And what's interesting is in two cases, the guy was the more conservative/religious one. Though I think that mirrors national trends where younger women are becoming more liberal and younger men are becoming more conservative. Methinks there is a reason why some of these guys are still single. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152271-s08e13-the-weddings/#findComment-8604706
jabRI March 17 Share March 17 (edited) Virginia said the check was for $1,000 according to his mom, not sure of his finances, but i don't think that would be worth hiding, like if the boss didn't get a thank you note? or ever mentioned it to virgnia? But you never know.. Edited March 17 by jabRI Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152271-s08e13-the-weddings/#findComment-8609102
