Yeah, I said earlier that judges are usually easier on singing challenges, but this is totally different.  I think they should only be judged on the singing.

I would have preferred instead of 'sing' and 'dance' it was 'this' and 'that'. No clues as to what they were.

Bernie & Carrigain and Ernest & Bridget clear Dance!

Nick & Mike then clear it after seven attempts.

Courtney & Jasmin are nurses who have to remember things.  So them "blanking" isn't good.

Pops will be the woman for Sing, while Jeff will be the male.

Jeff realizes that they have a cushion in the form of whomever hasn't shown up.  (Jackye & Lauren, btw.)

Alyssa & Josiah are the first team to clear Sing!

Jonathan & Ana fail Sing again.

Jackye & Lauren are the last team set for Sing.

Carson & Jack arrive first for Dance!  They win $3,000!

I wonder how they will start the teams for the next leg given that many of the dance side folks arrived before the first sing team.

It would be interesting if they let the two first place teams go, then the two second place teams etc. That would negate the difference in difficulty between the two tasks.

I don't mind it if it's used sparingly.  I've always wanted a rule that would force some of the teams to take the other detour.

Nick & Mike are fifth of the Dance teams, and Courtney & Jasmin are sixth.

Mark & Larry are last of the Dance teams, and they've been eliminated from the race.  They're already tearing up about it.  Or at least Larry is.

Going back to the Sing side, Pops & Jeff aren't getting it.  They're starting to get it, though.

Also, Jeff looks a bit like Jaleel White looks now, but with more sideburns.

Given the difference in difficulty between the two tasks, this really seems the only fair way to start the next leg.  But, I have my doubts that is what will actually happen.

Han & Holden clear it next!  Scott & Lori are clear, as well!  Melinda & Erika are also clear!

With no one else, Jackye & Lauren are pretty much super-screwed unless someone gets super lost.

I think we have moved to the generous portion of the judging for Sing.

Pops & Jeff and Han & Holden get taxis, but Melinda & Erika are lost and need to get a cab.

Jonathan & Ava finish second of the Sing teams.

Ugh.  Jonathan's one of those guys.  Expects to come in 1st, and is pissed when he doesn't.

Han & Holden run up while they're on the mat, and they're the fifth team.

Down to Melinda & Erika and Jackye & Lauren.  But the former team already found the mat.

Melinda & Erika are sixth!

Jackye & Lauren are doing Sing, though no attempt number is shown, so we don't know how long they've been there.

But they pass and are given the clue.  We get their backstory just as they're about to be tossed.

Jackye & Lauren reach the mat, are told that they're last of the Sing teams, and are eliminated.

I think the big smile on the judge's face when she gave Jackie & Lauren their clue was for "oh, this hellscape is finally over".

I am sad that the two oldest teams got eliminated, but it was pretty clear that if this leg didn't take them they were not long for the game.
