Here comes the Fork in the Road.

Seven teams can go in either direction.  So a fourteen-team race is two parallel seven-team races, in which two teams will be eliminated.

A first for this version, but I believe that Israel's version did this years ago.

Nick & Mike reach the Fork in the Road first.  They choose Dance.  Carson & Jack do, too.  Alyssa & Josiah choose Sing.  But Ernest & Bridget and Bernie & Carrigain choose Dance.

Sing involves singing a line from a Cantonese opera.

Really?  That's it?  So this is basically a Detour that'll eliminate the last team to complete each one?

I'd have automatically picked sing because while I can sing I won't dance (Don't ask me-- Musical geek ref).  But it does look difficult and I feel bad for those who get that task by default

Mark & Larry are doing Dance, Han & Holden are doing Sing, and Jonathan & Ana are doing Sing, as well.

Pops & Jeff are doing Sing, and Scott & Lori are doing Sing.

Poor Courtney & Jasmin are still struggling with getting a cab.  What is wrong with these cabbies?

I was thinking there would be two sets of tasks, as opposed to doing one task then hitting the Pit Stop.

I'd instinctively choose sing without thinking about it being in a foreign language. I think Dance is probably the easier choice. Depends on the judging I guess.

I think judges tend to be easier on singing challenges than on dancing ones.  I would have chosen sing.

I do not understand why the one team can't get cabs.

I think they go directly from either Sing or Dance to the pit stop.

Courtney & Jasmin finally get a cabbie.  And then, they reveal that they didn't show the additional info to their cabbies: the address in Chinese symbols.

Brett & Mark are starting to practice at Dance.

Carson & Jack are trying their first attempt at the dance.  They fail since the beat was off.

Nick & Mike also fail at Dance.

Courtney & Jasmin go to Dance since they think that they can recover.  It's the last spot, though, so Jackye & Lauren will be stuck with Sing.

Sing is definitely harder. Dance is just dance. Sing is sing plus movement.

Nick & Mike try again, but fail at Dance.

Carson & Jack try again at Dance, and this time . . . they pass!

Ooh!  A mat for each route!

Pops & Jeff reach sing, as do Melinda & Erika.

Carson & Jack are off to the Dance Pit Stop.

Scott & Lori fail at Sing their first time.  Lori is not dainty enough.

Mark & Larry are practicing Dance, while Brett & Mark try their third attempt.  They pass, so they're off to the Pit Stop!
