Racj82 Thursday at 04:29 AM Share Thursday at 04:29 AM Thank you. Get Josh up out of here. Not entertaining. I'm tired of the crying. I can't stand his voice. Get him off my screen. I watched this episode mostly on fast forward. Super predictable. 5 1 Link to comment

Lantern7 Thursday at 06:56 AM Share Thursday at 06:56 AM Death. Taxes. Josh fucking up before he makes a final. In these uncertain times, it's good to know there are some absolutes that never change. Why does he do this show? Does his life suck that hard to make him travel far and get abused by players and editors? Actually, the latter did him a solid this week. They showed the one elimination he did win, but not the parts where he couldn't break the panes with the big ball, while everyone laughed at him. Rachel bringing up inclusion led to a highlight reel of LGBTQ players from prior seasons. It kinda felt that BMP was patting itself on the back a little too hard. I mean, they were pushing representation before network reality shows started mandating that, but I don't know if it counts to bring the same people over and over. Nice to see a bit of Dan Renzi. I'm guessing that was a lot of screaming during Nicole's 3-5 seconds of screen time. Mission was pretty cool. I think Derek's win being a major upset was pushed a bit hard, but it was against Jordan . . . so yeah, it was an achievement. Elimination was well thought-out . . . and the editing leading up to it had some folks convinced Cory was going to lose. His emotional call with Nelson seemed to be the cherry on top. Nope . . . he beat Josh. 1 Link to comment

They totally deserve to, IMO, going back to San Francisco in 1994. Cory smoked his ass! Was this supposed to be Josh’s redemption arc? Because fuck that noise, I’m fine being a troll. Love Nelson, so much. 2 Link to comment

Having watched him from the start on Big Brother, I just get the sense that he was never a cool kid, never had a lot of friends, and this show is like finally being asked to sit at the cool kids table. He attaches himself to anyone in power and tries to be them. One of the most telling moments of this was a few seasons ago when he was trying so hard to have some sort of conflict with Wes, and Wes flat out told him that there was no there there. People seem to like him outside of the show, so he's probably a nice guy. He just really comes across as emotionally and socially stunted, like that kid in jr high who spent time with the popular kids but they all talked about him behind his back. It's sad. And annoying. 3 Link to comment
bunnyface Thursday at 05:35 PM Share Thursday at 05:35 PM I did laugh at Derek's mental image for hitting the targets. "Snatch a weave, snatch a weave." He was so giddy about the possibility he could beat Jordan, that I assumed he did. But it was still fun to watch. 3 Link to comment

Get him off my screen. I watched this episode mostly on fast forward. Super predictable. Yeah I fast forwarded too. At first I liked it when they had 90-minute episodes. But a lot of it is drama now. I don't know if it helps the ratings. Seems like they're going to continue with these padded 90-minute episodes with drama interludes. No fan of Josh, glad to see him go. But the elimination couldn't be more suited to Cory, who played college football. Unless his knees prevented him from sprinting, he wasn't going to lose and he also easily bumped Josh out of bounds when playing defense. Some of the other men might have tried to really have physical contact with Cory and that might have helped but again, football background, favoring him. The Daily favored the people who went later. They could see it was about rhythm and jumping earlier to hit the peak of the jump or swinging out as the they approached the targets. Jordan may have missed a target on purpose to avoid having to pick. The last time he won a Daily or was going to win a Daily, he said he didn't want to get his hands dirty. We should be due for a rule change soon, I have a feeling TJ will say no more targets, anyone could be sent to the elimination. 7 hours ago, mojoween said: Love Nelson, so much. He seemed to be in real good spirits, considering what he went through. How does he get health care though, does it have a regular job? Can't be cheap that prosthetic and whatever rehab he has to go through. Maybe if it's like the prosthetic that the "blade runner" got, he could come back and compete, be able to run. I don't know though he's always been unrealistically optimistic about his chances, though it helped him power through some eliminations and challenges despite giving up size and weight against some challengers. But if that unearned optimistic spirit helps him cope better, more power to him. 1 Link to comment
DEL901 Thursday at 10:09 PM Share Thursday at 10:09 PM (edited) I’m far from a Josh fan, but he was competing with 21 stitches in his knee from an accident earlier in the season that was never shown or discussed. https://ew.com/the-challenge-josh-martinez-stepping-back-from-vacation-alliance-after-season-40-8748401 Edited Thursday at 10:12 PM by DEL901 5 Link to comment

Is it true that he was under the influence when he had his accident and then failed to mention that when asking fans for money to help him pay his bills? That really puts a damper on the whole thing for me. But I do hope he has stopped drinking (or was it drugs?) and wish him well. 1 Link to comment
bunnyface Thursday at 10:26 PM Share Thursday at 10:26 PM The other article they published about Josh seems to indicate that Laurel is arguing with everybody on social media. mojoween Thursday at 10:45 PM Share Thursday at 10:45 PM I did not hear that Nelson may have been impaired. Nurys has been poking at Laurel since Nurys went home and Laurel looks increasingly manic with every reply. 2 Link to comment

mojoween Friday at 12:57 AM Share Friday at 12:57 AM I have learned that Nelson *did* have a DUI which is obviously inexcusable. He did bring on his health issues by using terrible judgment. Dammit, Nelson. Link to comment
joanne3482 Friday at 04:30 PM Share Friday at 04:30 PM Is it me, or is this season lasting 100 years? There has to be another shake up soon because I think they still have too many people to run the final. Those who went later definitely had an advantage, which made me feel badly for Cara and Tori. But they hit enough targets that at least they weren't in the very bottom. 2 1 Link to comment

peachmangosteen Friday at 10:29 PM Share Friday at 10:29 PM (edited) According to TVDb, the past 4 seasons have had 21 eps, so I assume this season will have the same, which is way too many eps. Edited Friday at 10:30 PM by peachmangosteen Link to comment
