paulvdb November 15 Share November 15 Quote A personal crisis shakes Miguel and Johnny to the core. Chozen and a rival sensei team up to find their students — but discover something else instead. Premiere date: November 15, 2024 Link to comment
jah1986 November 15 Share November 15 So relieved for Carmen and the baby, was I the only one having Rocky II flashbacks when she told Johnny and Miguel to win? Chozen and Kim, did NOT see that coming. Terry Silver, man Cobra Kai really never dies. So over this guy. Glad Devon came clean to Kenny. 3 Link to comment
sashabear21 November 15 Share November 15 Go Chozen! Although I watch enough soaps to know he probably should have stuck around to find out who that guy was at Kumiko’s. For all we know she rented out a room in her place as an Airbnb. 1 Link to comment
bettername2come November 16 Share November 16 I was cheering for Kim and Chozen to kiss before they did. I'm sure it won't last if Tamlyn Tomita is available for filming before the series ends, which I hope she is if for no other reason than I really want her to ask why Chozen is leaving drunken messages in English. "You're my son, too." I mean we knew it, Johnny, but it's nice for everyone to hear. I thought Xolo did a really great job with the crying emotional stuff when they were in Carmen's room. I was sure Carmen and the baby would be okay, but I admit, I thought she would have the baby prematurely. I kind of hate that Amanda didn't believe Anthony about not giving Kenny the laxatives, but I appreciate that Anthony wanted to make it up for all his other shitty behavior, though I question his methodology. 1 1 Link to comment
DoctorAtomic November 16 Share November 16 No way. The flight attendant would have just given Johnny the drink unless she was going to have it herself. That's rough for Anthony. It's kind of his fault, but he actually didn't do what he was accused of. This seemed kind of filler. I was hoping for more fighting. I did like Chozen teaming up to track down the kids though. And that was coming a mile away. The sight gag of the sand out the sleeve was brilliant. "Fucking karate". Amanda sums up the entire series. I like how all these top karate kids can't actually run anywhere. It's not that hard to run from the cops to the beach. Shut up. Silver. That was ridiculous. 1 Link to comment

It has become hilarious to me how karate is the source of and solution to all of life's problems in this show. We got another couple of glimpses at the weird karate aspects of law enforcement in this universe. For example, if someone is being unruly on an airplane and you use karate to knock them out, the police at your destination will give you an escort to wherever you are going. But in Barcelona, unauthorized karate on city streets is responded to immediately by the police. 7 hours ago, sashabear21 said: Go Chozen! It's a very sitcom setup for comical misunderstanding leading to unnecessary conflict. 3 Link to comment
DoctorAtomic November 16 Share November 16 I'm going on a plane in about a half hour and I want to know if I can do karate. Really though, the guy in the towel could have been her cousin. Link to comment
Raja November 16 Share November 16 I did notice for the first time Johnny calling Miguel his son. Link to comment

tennisgurl Thursday at 09:59 PM Share Thursday at 09:59 PM Terry fucking Silver, of course he's behind this latest nonsense. He probably planned on all of them getting too his room at that exact moment to make his big reveal in a hot tub smoking a cigar, what a drama queen. I love that as soon as Daniel asked Chozen to make sure the kids were at the hotel, he flashed back him being all "I'm not a regular sensai, I'm a cool sensai" and told them all to paint the town red. I did NOT see Chozen and Kim coming, she looks like a completely different person with her hair down. I'm very glad that Carmen and the baby are alright and Miguel and Johnny had a really nice moment on the plane when Johnny told Miguel that he's his son as much as Robbie is. Then they got to bond in a very karate kid way, by fighting some belligerent asshole while everyone applauds. Good to know that, in the karate universe, not only can you escape from jail and have all of your charges dropped, but you can a police escort and pat on the back when you punch put a guy on a plane! That poor flight attendant, she must have been so happy to watch these passengers leave. I missed Amanda. "Fucking karate" Link to comment
DoctorAtomic Friday at 01:49 AM Share Friday at 01:49 AM It was worth it to punch the guy out, but there's no way a direct flight from Barcelona to LA isn't 100% full and there's just one seat for Miguel in first class. That's this show though. Link to comment
Dobian Friday at 05:18 AM Share Friday at 05:18 AM (edited) Chozen FTW. And Kim is hot with her hair down. One shameless Rocky 2 ripoff. Eli swinging his phone camera around at the bar for his girlfriend with Demetri dancing was so contrived. What guy would do that? Sam with the Drago-like karate guy I saw coming. I just knew it would be Miguel taking out the drunk asshole. Johnny being a fish out of water sometimes is okay, but when he doesn't understand a flight map he's just being dumb. The new Cobra Kai heavy is just an obnoxious punk with a punchable face. Will this show never move past the stereotype bully character? These kids had an all-out brawl in their high school once. They're way beyond dealing with stupid bullies. Terry Silver in a hot tub. Yeah okay. The Robbie and Tory soap opera is getting stale. I did like the comic energy of the episode, mostly thanks to Chozen and Kim. Edited Friday at 05:19 AM by Dobian Link to comment

I would still love to know what happened to the woman Terry was living with at the start of Season 4. 1 Link to comment
