Sakura12 Thursday at 02:31 AM Share Thursday at 02:31 AM (edited) The end of the road. Poor Alice really frees herself from the curse, then died. Hopefully she was reunited with her mother. Why didn't we get to see Death collect Lilia? I guess Tommy is back in the body of a boy that drowned. Look for a track star, Billy. And the end with Billy figuring out it was him all along, just like his mother. Edited Thursday at 02:47 AM by Sakura12 4 Link to comment
Morrigan2575 Thursday at 02:57 AM Share Thursday at 02:57 AM I honestly was rejecting the idea of Rio being Lady Death she just didn't have the eternal/ethereal presence that I remembered from the comics but by the end she pulled it off. 3 Link to comment
Stardancer Supreme Thursday at 03:54 AM Share Thursday at 03:54 AM Billy had Tommy's spirit within him the whole time; he just needed a body for him like Billy found William Kaplan's body. I'm glad that Jen survived the Witches' Road restored to her full power. Can't wait to see her future! Pouring one out for Sharon Davis, Alice Wu-Gulliver, and Lilia Calderu... 3 1 Link to comment

I don't think that Tommy's spirit was within Billy. I thought it was that Billy had used his powers to put Tommy in a body as Wanda's hex was disappearing, then basically lost all his memories, so he forgot where he put him (which was apparently in a terrible family, so Tommy is going to be way messed up when they find him later). PurpleTentacle Thursday at 05:56 AM Share Thursday at 05:56 AM I appreaciate that they tried to give Alice a bit of closure and lampshaded what I've been saying the last few weeks, but boy is that still rough. She got to do one thing and that was it. It's not even like her family line is free of the curse. It ended with her. Well maybe she has cousins who were also affected? Yeah, we'll go with that... Man Rio destroyed that beautiful map painting. But I appreciate the practical effect, instad of some glowy portal opening. It was simple and elegant. 1 Link to comment

Rio says earlier "The son of the scarlet witch stole a second life. I can't let him do the same for his brother. I have to take him." Meaning Tommy isn't in a body yet. I see two possibilities, either Tommy's spirit was always with Billy and he put him in a new body now, or it's also possible that Billy reached back in time, from the moment he was sitting there with Agatha, to the moment the Hex dissolved, to find his brother a new body. I'm leaning towards the second one, since Agatha guided Billy to think of the moment the Hex dissolved. 1 Link to comment
thuganomics85 Thursday at 07:06 AM Share Thursday at 07:06 AM Nice to see Alice again, even if it was to stick the knife in deeper by reminding everyone that she literally just broke the curse that had haunted her for her entire life, only to die right after thanks to Agatha's need for power. Rough! Still curious to see if this is the last we will see of those who failed the Witches' Road. At least Jen seems to have made it out in one piece. So, it was Agatha who put that binding curse on her since the 1920s? Sounds like Agatha didn't even know who her target was but just did it for some easy bucks. It really was her all along! Looks like they are hinting that Tommy might have gone into the body of a kid that was drowning? And Billy might have some part in it? Granted, I don't there will ever be case where Aubrey Plaza isn't gorgeous, but that Lady Death look? Yeah, I don't blame Agatha there. Off to see how this plays out in the finale! 3 Link to comment

He was going to die anyway, but his body would be a vessel for Tommy at least. 8 1 Link to comment
Sakura12 Thursday at 03:24 PM Author Share Thursday at 03:24 PM The road may have been Billy and Agatha but it did give them all what they wanted in the end. Alice broke her curse, Lilia learned to control her power, Jen got her power back, Billy found Tommy and Agatha got her Coven two. 6 1 Link to comment

Was it because he successfully "walked the road" and returned to the real world, or were we supposed to think he might have died when Agatha said the line: "Sometimes boys just die"? 1 Link to comment

No, Agatha was referring to Nick. He just died; she didn't trade him for the Darkhold or any other nefarious stuff. Just like Jen when she was unbound, Billy's quest was done. He wanted to find out what happened to Tommy. Once he did, he was off the road. 4 Link to comment

I posted having already watched the ninth episode, but wondered if in that moment, we were supposed to wonder if Billy had died. 1 Link to comment

It turns out, they had it all with them all along. It sucks so much that Alice did, in fact, die after just ending her families curse, but at least Death/Rio seemed to give her some closure in that she did at least die protecting people and managed to break the curse. It looks like we found Tommy, unfortunately it means he's going to go into the body of this poor kid who was tragically killed, all of this is going to be a LOT to unpack with the twins. I also don't think that Billy had anything to do with this kid dying, like with him, the boy had already died when Tommy entered him. This has been a rough trip down the road, but at least Jen got her powers and is still alive, hopefully she makes it through the last episode. Rio is a pretty awesome Death, no wonder Agatha went for it. 4 1 Link to comment
