I thought Nick said Lychee at first and was super confused when I first saw the costume.

Nice to see that the dancers have heads (so far) this year.

 

Oh crap, another tornado warning. I assume Leaf Sheep is going home. Would someone please post who was in the costume?

Everyone was great tonight except for leafsheep. That ship costume was amazing I don't know how anyone could move inside it. I love Footloose so I can't wait for next week.

How did Rita change her clothes so fast? She sang in a 2-pc outfit and then came out to the panel in a long gown. Either they stopped filming or she's a quick change artist.

This show must not be that popular anymore because this thread normally would be at least 3-4 pages long by now. The other one for the first show doesn't have any posts at all.  Maybe some don't watch it anymore.

I don't watch the show live so I'm always a day late to respond. Decent premiere, but what was William Shatner doing there?

I totally agree with an above poster who said the Woodpecker is Marsai Martin. Doesn't she hold a world record for being the youngest person to produce a film or something like that?

Has Cher been on the show before? I thought I heard something in Ship's voice that reminded me of her.

I think the Buffalo is Boys to Men. Just heard something familiar in the harmonies.

And Ken got one right!

My problem during the broadcast was several pre-emptions by the weatherman in Roanoke, VA giving updates on possible tornados. I don't live in Roanoke but all our tv stations come from there. I finally had to watch this on Youtube because Hulu doesn't have anything past Season 11 yet.

Speaking only for myself here, I debated  whether I was going to watch/post here or just check it out on YT later because the caliber of contestants was so low for a few seasons. I don’t watch reality tv, so the only way I would recognize those people would be if their names were everywhere due to drama/scandal. And I’m clueless on sports people unless they are either a big name or someone easily identifiable by clues. These random football/basketball players - I don’t even recognize them after they’ve been unmasked. Plus this hellsite is such a pain to use(at least for me) which is why this forum is the only one I post in with any regularity anymore.

Okay, The Ship's definitely Paula Cole. The cowboy boot in her clue package is for her hit "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?", and she worked with Melissa Ethridge in Lilith Fair.

 

Ooooh, I was wondering who was gonna sing "I Need A Hero"!

☹️ Sad to see Showbird leave. They were all good tonight, though.

Shallow note, seeing Rita and Jenny tonight has motivated me to get back to my gym routine tomorrow. They both look fantastic. 
 

Edit : Ok, Ken’s 2 for 2 this season. Are TPTB feeding him answers or is he just taking things seriously?

I would have sent Woodpecker home instead of Songbird. I think they do tell one of the judges who is singing there was one season where Jenny was right all the time.

I loathe whenever he sings on the show.  The only time I've found him anywhere remotely good was when he sang the theme song to "Growing Pains".  His voice is too high for most songs, he butchered this song and the dancing was cringeworthy.  Only Rita should be singing on this show.  Why doesn't Nick Cannon ever sing?  I don't think he has sang in years and years but he has to be better than Robin.

I think the whole show is rigged and I think Ken said he didn't want to be the butt of all jokes anymore, so he has demanded that he be right more often.

I agree, I think Woodpecker was weaker than Songbird.  Yvette Nicole Brown had a great voice.  The tone was so much better than Woodpecker and her singing was a lot more polished.

Everyone was really good last night (when I watched). But I think I would have sent Woodpecker home before Songbird. I'm doubling down on my guess for Buffalo, the clues, for me definitely point to

I think Nick said the theme is Soundtrack of My Life for the Group A finals and it will be a double elimination. Woodpecker should for sure go but both the Buffalo and Ship should move on. They haven't talked about the bell this year, maybe it will make it's return for the group A final like it did last year.

I hate that bell. It just prolongs the inevitable. Especially when there's supposed to be a double elimination...and you really want that person to get unmasked.

For someone who started in Hollywood at a young age, Marsai seems to have a good head on her shoulders. I don’t follow her or know what she’s really like, but she comes across as very mature.
