I thought this was a pretty interesting episode as far as this season goes. I would like some plain talk about what percentage of the property each Brown parent funded.

I would also have liked to shake some sense into Meri, in the scenes where she was talking to Kody and Robyn about the property. She was far too deferential. Her nervous laugh was working overtime. I wish Jenn went with her, whenever she had to meet with them (or even just him).

Yes! That is what Meri needs going forward. To have a strong voice of reason beside her to see through Kody's doublespeak, wishy washy plans and crazy thinking.

That was the old Meri coming out - manipulative and bitchy.  Janelle was trying to look out for her, and she throws her right under the bus.

And yes, Meri acts all empowered in her talking heads, but she always gets all giggly in front of Kody and acquiesces.

Kody doesn’t want to get the land appraised because it’s too messy?  Too emotional?  He’s totally scamming the wives.  How can they be so dim?  And why is the money Janelle and Meri put in to Robyn & Kody’s mansion never brought up?!

Oh, I think Janelle was right in on screwing Meri out of land, until Janelle realized she too might get screwed out of land.

All of a sudden, this season, Janelle started talking about how the family has been unfair to Meri for a long time, like Janelle wasn't a part of that.

How did Janelle screw Meri over the land?  Seems to me that Kody was the only one that controlled everything re: Coyote Pass.  Especially the deeds.

Janelle didn’t think she or Meri would get screwed by Kody on the land … until Kody kept evading  her when she wanted to discuss the land and paying  it off.  So I don’t see any issue with her talking to Meri.

Please elaborate on how you think Janelle has been unfair to Meri?  Beyond the fact that she became Kody’s 2nd wife, that is.  She’s never denied that they don’t get along … but that’s not the same as being unfair  to her.    What has Janelle done to cheat Meri out of  something?  Janelle bought the house in Lehi  and added Kody and Meri’s name to it.

Yeah. I don't think her friends want Meri back with Kody, but they've got to find ways to support her, without taking Meri to a place where she thinks he retains any sort of feeling that could be reignited.

What a big entourage to pick out Christine's dress!

Maddie flew in from NC? She didn't make it to Gwendlyn's wedding, but flew out to dress shop with Christine?

Yes, that is quite the crowd. Just maybe Truely didn't want to be in that crowd of people.

I think Maddie was having the new baby during Gwens shower. She has the baby in a carrier now for the wedding dress shopping.

Yeah Meri's friends are trying really hard to support her, but I'm not getting happy vibes from any of their conversation. It feels very stilted/strained.

No, I mean Gwendlyn's actual wedding, not the engagement party (it wasn't a shower — I don't know why Janelle kept calling it one, someone else did too, I think).

Maddie didn't go to Gwendlyn and Bea's wedding in July of 2023. I figured she could only swing one trip, and saved it for Christine and David's wedding in October of 2023, but I think it's a little weird that she could also fly in for Christine's dress shopping. That is, I'd have been hurt if my sister could fly across country for dress shopping, but not my wedding.

Sorry if I got the events confused @General Days! I can't keep up with the whole twisted time frame as presented on screen... my bad... I basically throw my hands up and say whatever!   Then finally through discussions here I piece the timeframe together better.

Well basically the most important thing to Christine was that the dress have a deep plunge so her boobs would be on display.

But not, thankfully, her vagina. God bless Mykelti for calling that out.

Robyn-lay off your kids / they don’t want to be polygamists. They are both adults- they don’t need your permission to go to church,  nor do they need you picking one out for them.  How do these two manage to pick out their own clothes every day?

And why do they look like it’s physically painful for them to speak? WTF.

I think we're seeing the set up for Kody and Robyn's crew to convert. I might be wrong. Goodness knows, it wouldn't be the first time, but I've felt this coming for a long time.

These are old posts from other threads.

Honestly, I think we're going to see Kody come out as a (non-Mormon) Christian this season or next, and he will reveal that he wanted out of all the non-Robyn marriages (yes, in part to soothe his ego). I don't think we're going to get much more of fundamentalist Mormon polygamy from Kody Brown.

On the podcast, did Kody talk at all about where he and Robyn are now, religiously speaking?

I've been wondering if maybe he's left Mormonism altogether — perhaps for some sort of evangelical church or something.

It was how he pushed the OG3 away, instead of trying to placate them, that made me feel that way.

Where’s  Truely?

Unfortunately, she was there for that R-rated cake tasting talk.

Mykelti giveth and Mykelti taketh away.

Maddie came with just the baby for the dress shopping, right?  Was Savannah at home in NC with the other kids since Caleb works? And Maddie came  with Caleb and all the kids for  Christine’s wedding?

Is it possible that Maddie couldn’t  come because she didn’t have anyone to watch the kids since Caleb works?

Sure. It seems to me that Gwendlyn explained it at the time, as a budget issue for Maddie.

Then again, Gwendlyn didn't end up going to Christine's wedding, so I guess I shouldn't be feeling too bad for her.

Gee kind of cheesy for Robyn to revisit how special it is for buying a wedding dress because she had special treatment. They contrasted Christine’s ugly, ill-fitting shmatta with Robyn’s beautiful dress.

Someone here once posted a video of a girl going down the list of weirdly spelled Mormon names and it was hilarious. It was in response to the names Christine gave her kids.  But I can't find it anymore. Does anyone have that they can post again?  I saw that Meri's friends were named Andreah and Hillaree and immediately that old video came to mind. Thanks if you have it - I wanted to share it with someone.
