I am enjoying seeing Ellie get eaten up with jealousy. She certainly has a high opinion of herself for someone who has a cartoon sounding voice.

Im a little disappointed in Nathan. He was all about Gael and now he’s cooling off.  She probably shouldn’t have jumped from one dude to another.

And absolutely no sense of self-awareness!

Nathan made a bad decision while drunk.  It'll be interesting to see if he can fix things with Gael.

It is a little alarming how Joe is being so competitive with Gael for Nathan's attention. I think he's jealous and is a butthurt that Gael doesn't like him. I really hope that Nathan realizes how much he hurt her by disregarding their plans and fixes it quickly. I'm so rooting for them.

Watching Ellie implode is awesome. She's utterly seething while Carrie is handling her like a champ. Absolutely zero self-awareness, that one. Also amused with each new pageant dress she trots out.

Well looky there, the color system seems to be helping Bri. A little late, but good to see her potentially finishing on a positive note.

Considering I believe I heard he only bought the ticket for £19 Quid, I’d say forgo the trip with Joe. It’s not like you would lose a lot of money.

Ellie spends so much time preening, getting ready to go out — classy shot of her boobs with the nipples blurred out by Bravo.

Maybe she could spend some time fixing her repellent attitude both at work and in her social life.

Joe has more fun with Carrie, while Ellie wants to be arm candy for some pro athlete with a Lamborghini.

Gael seems a bit high maintenance or fragile.  If Nathan prioritizes hanging out with Joe instead of her, move on.  But she complained when her previous bf was hovering, constantly texting and calling her.  She wants Nathan to do the same?

Those Ohio guests, one of them said they were in the middle of the Aegean and could see the Acropolis?  Can they?  It must be in the distance maybe?

That competition, looked like potentially hazardous.  They did something similar on another BD show but they were swimming and then running across the boat.  So bare wet feet running on the deck?

But looked like they were having fun, something different for the crew.

In this week's after show, Carrie said that maybe not all of the laundry problems were Bri's fault. That during Carrie's time on the boat, laundry would suddenly appear in the middle of the day -- not labeled, not in a laundry bag -- when she was away from the room. So she comes back and new stuff would just be in one of the bins and she was like, who's is this? Where did it come from?

I also could have sworn there was also clip of Carrie and Ellie in the laundry and Ellie was about to do something and Carrie told her not to because that would screw up Bri's system. But I can't find it now so maybe I imagined it?

ETA: I have to say, one of the things I've weirdly enjoyed about the aftershow is hearing how Kate would have solved some of these problems. She had a whole thing about scheduling laundry that would never have occurred to me.

Haven't seen the episode yet, but you cannot see Athens Acropolis from the middle of the Aegean Sea.  You can barely see it from the sea when approaching the port of Piraeus, especially if you are on board of those very high huge cruise ships.
Here is a map to help you with the locations:

It was in next week's preview.

I still think Ellie was purposely fucking up the laundry to mess with Bri. Completely on brand.

Production was messing with Bri for sure.  If I were Bri I would have done the laundry, hung all of it up and told the crew that if they are missing uniforms go look in the laundry room, it is on anyone that didn't label their items.

I never thought about the after show but now I will watch.

She was putting on self tanner, should have done that in the bathroom but I guess she would have missed out on the opportunity to show off the girls for the camera.

Watching Ellie complaining about her "status" is like watching a 5-6 years old brat with issues. Embarrassing.
I do not really get the Gael drama, but to be honest I do not care either.
Carrie seems quite a nice stew, it is silly they let her in only for the last 1/4 of the season and instead we had to cope with Ellie, Joe and the laundry drama.

Gael, Joe and Nate were all wasted.  On the way home from the bar Joe noticed there were 16 euro tickets to Ireland from Ryannair.  He asked Nate if he wanted to go, Nate said yes, Gael cried.  They were all drunk.  Just drunken twentysomething drama.

She thought they had plans to go to Prague, her and Nathan.

They didn't book flights but they had been talking about it and she seemed to be counting on it.

But instead Nathan books tickets to Ireland, doesn't even ask her.

After her breakup, maybe she's a little clingy, like  can't be alone.

Seems like most of these BD boatmances fizzle out after the season anyways.  They may go on a trip, visit each other and then go separate ways since they live in other countries.

Do either of them have the money to move and stay with the other for months or longer?

They may have to find jobs and they may not be able to stay together.

When Bri showed the chart on the wall where each color was associated with a different name, I was thinking... doesn't that add an extra step to the process?

If they have their name on the clothes, she sees the name.  If they have a color, she sees the color, then has to either remember or look at the chart to know which name goes with the color.

Seems it would be more efficient to just see the name. I don't get why the color helps in this situation. Unless she has a great memory and instantly remembers whose name goes with each color.

But either way, after her eyes see either a color or a name, she has to get the clothes to the correct person.

Maybe I am missing something.

You are not missing anything. I thought the same thing. If the laundry is all tagged with the names of the crew how does having colored beads attached to the clothes make it easier to identify whom the clothes belong to? If the laundry is not labeled, wash it hang it up and tell the crew if you are missing clothes go find them in the laundry. I mean if you look at the tag and it says Jon why would you put it in Nate's closet?  I cannot figure out what Bri's problem is.

It doesn't matter what Ellie wants, I doubt she will ever be arm candy for a pro athlete with a Lamborghini.

The Acropolis can be seen only from a boat close by the port of Pireaus. But the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion (which we saw in an early episode, and it is located at the southern end tip of the prefecture of Attiki/Attica, where Athens is, as well) can be seen from far in the Aegean, which was the objective in ancient times.

Some return to their home countries, but some live permanently in the Fort Lauderdale area (which is a yachting center), and nearby, even Americans.

The name on the clothes is a lot easier, and more efficient method.

Ellie is desperate, and delusional. She worries about her stew status after the arrival of Carrie, but she thinks she was great at her job all season long, when in reality she was underperforming.

She needs to stop telling us how lucky Joe would be to spend a night with her.

Carrie is great at her job. Unfortunately, she will kiss (?, hopefully nothing more) Joe according to the previews.

Writing names on clothes is an easier method than sewing beads, and then looking to match the name of the crew member (you wrote on a list!) to the colored bead on the clothing.

I hope that Nathan is not an asshole like Joe.

I'm having a hard time getting into this season for whatever reason. I think the formula has gotten stale, and I'm sick of Sandy. She has to stick her nose in everywhere and pop up every five minutes to take the guests' temperature. "How was your dinner? How was your lunch? How was your breakfast? Did you get your eggs? Were they cold? How was your dessert?" Also, "Get all the toys out. I want all the toys out. Get the toys in. Get the toys out. I want all the toys out. The toys should all be out." Shut up already.

I read that it's getting harder and harder to cast the BD shows because people in the yachting industry want nothing to do with it. And it shows because the crew and the chefs we get now are all incompetent with no real yachting experience and it's just a mess. Gone are the days when we'd get someone who could really do this like Ben or Rachel. Now all we get are chef wanna-be's that can only get a job by applying to this show.

Just read this article with the  EP of BDM and a couple of other BD shows.

She complains that people who audition for the BD shows want to be reality stars.

Quote

Below Deck hasn't seen the same kind of network-property in-fighting, but Rajabi does see issues creeping into the reality television format at large. "I think it's lost its innocence," she says of the franchise. "Back then," at the show's inception in 2013, "it was truly yachties just doing a YOLO thing. Maybe they did another season, and then they go back to their boats."

But now, "they want to come be reality stars. And I think that's the problem of what is happening in all of reality right now."

https://apple.news/AkgwGfKwnQyui7sjjrzt-zw

But the flip side is that they audition cast members sometimes 2 or 3 times over Skype but once they start filming, they are sometimes not as outgoing as in their auditions, like they decide they better tone down their behavior because they're on TV.

Well they obviously have no problems finding cast members who act out on in front of the cameras.

When the guests said that they were at Moni island by Aegina. Maybe they were seeing the Afaia Temple? I am not sure it is visible by the sea.

Well, they got greedy with expanding the franchise so much. They should had stayed with 1 top 2 BD shows...

The Temple of Aphaia is close to the sea, and on a hill, so it can be seen from the sea, but Moni island is on the other side of Aegina. Maybe the guests could see the temple on their way back to Pireaus.

Ellie's narcissism is getting worse by the episode.  She really thinks she's all that and a bag of chips, doesn't she?

It's really shocking, she is saying all that stuff out loud with a straight face...she is delusional but as we know all narcissists need an enemy and first it was Bri and now it is Carrie but Carrie knows how to deal with a narcissist where Bri just rolled over and did as she was told where Joe was concerned and her stew duties.

Carrie was on Watch What Happens Live Monday.  She looked great.  She was trying not to put anyone down, but she did admit she didn't like how Ellie treated Bri.

Ellie came off very aggressive several times to Bri over the season.  But, now that she usurped Aesha with the call to the chef, Aesha is now upset about Ellie's attitude.  Hopefully she can watch the season and see how out of bounds Ellie was with various people.  I'm glad Carrie is not bothered.
