Snazzy Daisy August 2 Author Share August 2 Quote “I don’t mind dying, but I’m not dying over a lie.” Good call, Pete. They humanize Doug Bailey a little bit through all those flashbacks. I wish we have an opportunity to put together clues to reveal the identity of the last Gold Star. Instead, we’ve been given the character exposition just to save time. UGH. So, the BAU-Gate is basically Voit making home-porn with his wife without her consent. Why can’t JJ use this to add more years to his sentence? OVERALL — this is a disappointing season. The entire BAU has been dumbed down to make the plot and narrative work. Hopefully they will have their intelligence back in S18. 🙄 I DO NOT want to see Elias Voit and hear about Gold Star ever again. Enough is enough. 🤞🏻 3 1 Link to comment
BellyLaughter August 2 Share August 2 Did the season end with Voit being offered an internship at the BAU because it felt like it was headed that way 🙄 1 Link to comment

Looks like he's a goner, but there may be a twist knowing this show. 2 Link to comment
Danielg342 August 2 Share August 2 Sounds like I didn't miss much this season. Glad I stepped out. I do have one question (though I suspect the answer)- did we ever get to *see* the deepfake porn? Or did the team just talk about it? CM talked a big game about being able to do things on Paramount+ that they couldn't do on broadcast TV, and showing nudity is one of them. Link to comment
jabRI August 2 Share August 2 Penelope's stare-down was the stupidest moment in the episode. 3 1 Link to comment

Did not expect to get so many references to Bailey again, but that was nice. The whole thing of his brother getting sucked into the conspiracy theory wormhole was interesting- I did like how Emily was just so done with all the conspiracy theory nonsense and called it all out for what it is. From interviews I've read elsewhere, it does sound like Gold Star is done, but Voit might still affect the team in some form or another. I don't know if he'll do so directly or indirectly, but I'd prefer more of the latter and let the team move on to other unsubs. 3 Link to comment
juliet73 August 8 Share August 8 Totally anti climactic! The Penelope stare down was beyond stupid! I was shocked that Voit didn’t try to kiss her since she seems to be so irresistible this season! Speaking of Voit, I’m hoping he was killed and is never spoken of again. This entire season was lame! A lot of lazy writing and bad storytelling. If there is a next season, I hope it goes back to the original formula. 2 Link to comment
threebluestars August 18 Share August 18 I'm tired of the cast looking so severe. All this flat hair, middle parts and tired faces. I want to go back to cases like the old days. I also really miss Reid. His influence kind of ... softened things, in a way? Everyone felt more relatable and like they had a tiny bit of joy when Reid was around. 4 1 Link to comment

I responded here because I think my response might be a bit off-topic for the episode itself: Paramount+ Criminal Minds - Page 4 - Criminal Minds - PRIMETIMER 1 Link to comment
driver18 September 2 Share September 2 I think it was interesting that they tried the long form story format, but the best episodes in Evolution were the stand alone ones, as infrequent as they were. Let's get back to that. This just didn't feel like CM at all. And, lordy, do I miss Reid. 1 Link to comment
mythoughtis November 17 Share November 17 The season long arcs were bad on CBS, but this was AWFUL! The writing was bad, the actors were bad. Cussing adds nothing when you do it every three minutes. There was nothing to make the unit human. Will needed to be shown at least a few times. Reid was sorely needed. 1 Link to comment
