He is so smarmy. I don't know what Teresa sees in him. His over-the-top romantic behavior to her maybe? Surprised she can't see through it.

The expectation of a ring is a natural progression in a relationship, moving in without a ring was something Delores refused to do with David but happily moved in with Paulie without a ring because she felt like she would be getting one eventually.  

Paulie shows up for filming, goes on vacations with Delores, they are together all the time so I get why she felt comfortable moving in to his house.

Last season Paulie told Frank that he already had the ring, maybe mentally he had a ring but in reality he knows Delores would never accept a ring from him until he is divorced, and that is the reason there is no ring just yet.

About 10 years ago I was at a Bar Mitzvah, the mother of the Bar Mitzvah boy was separated from the father, the father showed up with a tacky woman (his new gf), I noticed a ring on her finger and said something to the mother, she flipped out, could not believe he would give her a ring when they were not divorced and the gf accepted it and WORE it to the Bar Mitzvah, like I said, she was tacky. 

Delores has always been the voice of reason and for that I will always like her.

Teresa saying that she was divorced from Joe when she met Louie is not the same thing at all...dating while separated is much different than getting engaged while still married.

I agree.  It's such an outmoded concept IMHO. Many people are happy to live together without a ring and a ceremony.  I haven't actually heard anyone utter that saying in my hearing in over 50 years.

Or else, his former wife is also a strong Catholic and is very comfortable with their situation as it stands.  Someone here mentioned Spencer Tracy, who never divorced his wife for the same reason, but had a very loving relationship with Katherine Hepburn.  

We don't know much about Paul and his past wife/family (which, in my opinion, is really no one's business unless he or the past wife chooses to put it out there), so no one knows what arrangements he and his former wife have.  

Dolores seems to be completely fine with her relationships - both with David and with Paul - it's her friends who seem to be more concerned about him "putting a ring on it" than she is.  She seems very happy with the way things are right now.  

My feeling is, if she's happy and he's happy, why should the other ladies and their husbands be meddling?  

 

I never got an engagement ring and didn’t want one.  My husband just got out of the Army and got a job.  I told him to forget about an engagement ring, and opted for a beautiful three tier Diamond wedding band when he could afford it the following year.  I wear it everyday for over fifty years.

I haven’t watched in a long time, but see I missed nothing.  Teresa looks like an old lady trying to recapture her glory years.  Her face, hair, lips, and boobs look terrible.  Her tanned skin is leather.  By comparison, to me, Melissa looks great.  I loved the differing scenes of what can be taken to college.

I hate to say it, but Joe Gu was way more interesting than Teresa’s new husband.

I agree that Joe Giudice was more interesting than Louie. He was crude, politically incorrect, but funny.

Melissa was not naturally pretty so when she got the initial surgery, she looked good.  Now she’s pushing it, she should have stopped when she was ahead.  
 

I always think of Joe Gui drunkenly flipping over the gymnastics mat at their house and busting out his tooth!  That was funny.

He and Rosie were hilarious together too.  And although there were many negative things about him he had one going for him in that he wasn’t a camera hog.  It was clear he was just there because Teresa was in the show.  He never did interviews or sought the spotlight.

I think Teresa  needs a tan 24/7, " I hate sightseeing ". You can stay home and get a tan, and her lips are way too inflated.

Coming  up showed something  about money, now was that on the internet? 

I  quite liked Melissa's  house and pool.

 

About houses.  I’ll bet Joe and Melissa always rent.  I doubt they have ever owned a house as he never had a good job.  All I see is he’s always throwing a couple of boards into a dumpster.  She probably gets her clothes for free too.  I don’t know about her shop either.  Looks good on tv, but who knows?  I might be wrong.

Louie looks kind of deranged!  Theresa had some very bad work done on her face.  Her lips are all puffed up with filler.  She looks like a duck!

I hope being on this show is worth it.  Can you imagine how these people are going to look in ten years if they look like this now!

I agree, Dolo has a temper but she doesn't go into fits, it comes out when absolutely pushed.

Like Cher for instance.  The most beautiful lips in Moonstruck .. then messed them up with surgery.  Don’t they know they look ridiculous?

Yes, Paulie is likeable, but it’s time to make Delores happy.  A divorce doesn’t take a year and a half, unless I’m mistaken.  He should shit or get off the pot.  It’s time.  Maybe something is amiss.
