Wait a minute, who leaked the whistleblower report? 😳

Karolinska BOD is really something huh. They don’t even bother to read the report. Instead of investigating their rockstar surgeon for the alleged misconduct, they summon the whistleblowers to defend their report and insinuate their personal grudges against Paolo. What a bunch of crock.

Thank god Benita’s story comes out at the right time.

I love the dynamic, the bromance between Nate and Anders. They’re adorable! 😘

Lessons to be learned from this show:

🔸 Should never take breathing for granted.

🔸 Get a second opinion before engaging in any experimental procedures.

Luke Kirby was absolutely mesmerizing in this final episode.   That monologue while he was on the panel was nothing short of spectacular.    Well done sir.

I have such respect for whistelblowers.   They know that standing up against the powers that be will most likely mean severe negative consequences for them in the slight chance that the light they shine will change anything.

I often ask myself why Paolo would continue to do surgery after surgery when he knew they would not work.   And why he would even consider a relationship with Betina who had investigative journalists in her back pocket.   But I don't have the hubris and ego of these evil monsters.  Having people think you can do something that no one else can do...to be regarded as a God. And he is long gone by the time everything rots and dies.   And completing the con on Betina was a cherry on top.  If he could run his romance scam on her (which he was doing with countless women...those love bombs videos he sent, he often did not use their names so he could send them to multiple women) then he could run this scam on anyone.

I hope karma pays Paolo a visit and it shows him the same compassion he showed his patients.

Could it have been Anders? Something about the way he shrugged off the question made me suspect he might've been involved.

This last episode felt a bit anticlimactic. And it was kind of cheesy when Benita exchanged nods with Nate, Anders, and Ana at the press conference. So was the ending with Benita finding a new path in telling the story of another woman who'd been conned.

I think posters mentioned this in previous episode topics, but I wish we'd gotten more about the patients and less of Benita. Yulia's story deserved more time.

I didn't think we got as much insight into Paolo's character as we did with Christopher Duntsch, but this season was still compelling and it's a shame it doesn't seem to be getting much attention. The fifth episode especially was horrifying but so well-crafted and beautifully acted.

Finally watched this and I just don’t understand many of the medical decisions. Would hospitals really allow a surgeon to walk out the door right after surgery then expect doctors who know nothing about his procedure do the follow up care? Then they said these experiments were allowed because the patients were terminal but Yulia wasn’t terminal and some of the others weren’t either.

Also don’t know why he was allowed to change materials on every transplant. Don’t they have any type of oversight on the transplanted organ? I thought the acting was fine but Mandy Moore seemed different than the Benita I saw on documentaries.
