Yohan moves out; Sarper tells Shekinah to book a flight home; Kenny and Armando take the first step towards having a baby; Holly runs off when Wayne admits he has regrets; nature overtakes Brandan and Mary's big day.

Airdate: 11/20/23

One day (if she sticks around), she is going to do that and there won't be cameras around. Not safe.

JFC, how many episodes is this season???

Wayne, Holly is detoxing and probably having insane withdrawals from whatever she imbibes in back home. Let her go

By cutting the show from two hours to one hour about a month in the run they were able to extend it more than usual.

Mary did look beautiful in her gown. Too bad she's such a horrible person. She summed it up at the end with "Here in the Philippines there's no divorce, so he doesn't have a way to leave me" with a sly smile. 🙄 And Brandan's mom's dress was ... well, we know what she thinks her best asset is.

There is nothing like having a literal PLAGUE at your wedding. Holy shit, that was a lot of bugs.

I'm confused about Kenny and Armando having a baby.

Armando started the baby debate because he said he wanted them to have two children: he was the father of Hannah, and he wanted Kenny to be the father of a second child.

Armando also said having another child with Kenny as the father would mean (paraphrasing) when Kenny dies, the child would be a piece of Kenny that would live on.

So, when did Armando change his mind and decide he'd let fate decide whether he or Kenny would be the father of child #2? Because I was gobsmacked when they went to the fertility clinic and both of them contributed sperm to be mixed together to fertilize the donor eggs.

Did I miss something ?

Yeah that was new.  Maybe they think if they don’t know who the father is neither will favor the child more than the other?  But when it is older it can do one of those 23 and Me tests so it can only be a secret temporarily.

I guess next week is the finale because the Tell All starts the week after.

When in reality Brandan carries a blue American passport and the marriage only means she can't be the legal wife of someone else thus she would be theoretically cut off from certain church ceremonies if he leaves and she finds some other man..

That reminds me of an earlier thread.  I'd sworn they were pushing Brandon towards catechism, but that was a decidedly civil marriage.   I think she's still in good standing as long as he doesn't convert, though.  If he does, they need a rite to recognize their marriage in the Catholic church.  I'm skeptical that the Philippines has no civil divorce laws.  It isn't 100% Catholic..

Because she can't legally marry someone else without a civil annulment the valid versus legal marriage concerns the rest of the world goes through is moot. Under the law now only if you married under Sharia law, Muslims will fight the national government, can you divorce. Although many think that the current Senate might finally push through divorce legislation that the last 3 Presidents supported and I would have to research GMA, to see where she stood 15 years ago.

Say around 85% nominally Catholic, 5% Muslim, just under 5% Ingelsia ni Cristo with the remaining belonging to other Christian sects and other faiths. And the other than Catholic Christian leaders like evangelical Senator (World Champion boxer) Manny Pacquiao tend towards the fundamentalist position of no divorce like Catholic law demands.

I thought Brandon’s mom looked nice- but her dress was a similar shade to her skin tone so it looked more revealing than it actually was. But she looked pretty and appropriate for a wedding.

There’s no divorce in the Philippines. They have legal separations but that’s it. Of course people get annulments for reasons most of the world would consider a divorce, but no civil divorce.

That’s what I thought as well.

Given that Kenny & Armando have different ethnic backgrounds it’s likely they will be able to visually determine who the father is after birth (they used a Mexican egg donor yes). But whatever they want to do- given Kenny has several bio children (and Armando only has Hannah) it would make more sense for Armando to be the bio father.

Clarification, please.

Are you saying it would make more sense for Armando to be the baby's father or it wouldn't make sense for Armando to be the baby's father?

IIRC, Armando wanted Kenny to be the father so each of them would be father to one of the children.

Kenny does have several bio children, but they're all adults and aren't part of Armando and Kenny's family in the same way Hannah is, and the second child carried and birthed by the surrogate will be.

I made a typo- it would make more sense. Let me edit thank you.

👍

In the Philippines you basically you make a case for the cause of the divorce, normally uncontested. If contested the legal prejudice to save the marriage normally applies. Then pay a doctor who "testi-lies" that the marriage ending cause was because of a mental condition that predates the marriage.  And then after the judge agrees to the annulment the Solicitor General's office  investigates to see if the party's were in collusion with the judge.

Unless it was straight forward like with  an underaged or bigamist spouse

The shots they had of all of the television lights probably had a lot to do with the plague of bugs.  They probably attracted them from miles away.

Filipinos always step on their punchline by announcing "joke" before you even have a chance to think and laugh
