possibilities March 20, 2023 Share March 20, 2023 That tattoo didn't look like it had been done as recently as the past few days. And don't give the guy a sweater you're so worried about. Surely they must have something less fragile around? They are really teasing us with the Robin-Marcus lingering moments. I thought Dee's speech to the guy at the gym was a little too precious/after school special, but I liked seeing her do the boring practice stuff; training is not all action and glamour. 6 Link to comment
dwmarch March 20, 2023 Share March 20, 2023 Well, I found this to be an entertaining if slightly fluffy episode. Dee's training has actually come around to where I suggest she start: the boring stuff. I had Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in mind but a boxing gym where she just drills the basics forever is exactly what she needs. Save the CIA stuff for next season. It was hilarious that her new love interest asked if she saw that transaction he was involved in. Dude, everyone saw that! You did it right at the door in front of everyone and while it may be a room full of people who get hit in the head a lot, that doesn't mean they are dumb! So that sketchy dude is totally coming back with a gun next week, right? Or maybe it will be a couple of weeks later. And Dee will have failed to mention that her new boyfriend had this "side hustle" that Robyn is now going to have to rescue him (and the coach and the gym) from. I don't really need the show to spend too much time dwelling on how the logistics of Equalizing works but I found it strange that a guy with no memory was not only able to find his way to Robyn online but also went right over to the bar she is based out of as well. Does she publish the address alongside her help wanted ad? Is this because of the deal with the cops and DA where they agreed to look the other way? The Equalizer: now accepting walk-ins! Robyn is having nightmares about intruders breaking into her house. Maybe her subconscious was trying to tell her something like if you want to keep bad guys away don't publish the friggin' address where you hang out! I was hoping the guy with no memory would turn out to be a badass. When the bad guys first try to clip him near the dumpster, it looked to me like he tried to step in front of Robyn to shield her from the bullets. Because the characters jump to the wrong conclusion so often on these shows, I tend to ignore the various twists and turns of the plot. But I am pretty sure the dude is heading back to Michigan... despite have committed a colorful variety of actual crimes while in NYC. Well, that's the great thing about Dante being the only Detective in the Five Boroughs, he must not have had time to bring the guy in. 6 Link to comment

I saw that too and thought he was going to turn out to be a badass. That would have been interesting. I love how despite their backgrounds they never thought of any other reason someone's entire background was fake. I also love the idiot drug dealer doing the deal in front of everyone. How only Dee saw that I don't know. I liked that they brought up how much money it takes to go to the Olympics. It's not cheap. But then they don't do anything with it. Manny just tells him to get back to training. Did that mean he no longer had to pay. 2 Link to comment

Apparently so! 18 hours ago, dwmarch said: Maybe her subconscious was trying to tell her something like if you want to keep bad guys away don't publish the friggin' address where you hang out! Frankly, I'm surprised trouble doesn't come to her doorstep more often. It's one thing to be CIA and mostly work in other countries. Entirely another to do the equalizing where you live. But hey, as mentioned above, plot armor. I thought the family scene at the end was so cute. Those have always been my favorite moments of the show. That said, I assume that all happened on a Saturday or Sunday? Looked like Delilah was there practically all day. Or maybe school was out for spring break. 6 hours ago, possibilities said: Did they ever show the guy getting let out of the trunk of the car? Nope. I kind of side-eyed Robyn leaving him there. Maybe she called 911 or Dante off screen. To me, it wasn't clear that Trunk Dude had anything to do with the murder itself, he was just related to the murderer? This episode had potential, and then veered off-course in the latter half. 5 Link to comment
MicheleinPhilly March 21, 2023 Share March 21, 2023 Does the show have a new writing team? I'm finding my mind wandering more and more with each episode. It sort of feels like they're treading water at this point. I didn't find "Roy's" story compelling AT ALL. 🤷♀️ Link to comment
blackwing March 21, 2023 Share March 21, 2023 I thought this was an interesting episode, although I admit that I kind of tuned out on Roy/Eric's story. He witnessed the bad guy Ricardo committing a murder, so he testified against him and got put into Witness Protection in Michigan. Ricardo got out of prison and immediately went and killed Eric's dad. Eric came to town looking for revenge and kidnapped Ricardo's brother. Ricardo found him and shot at him, which caused him to leap into a dumpster and hit his head. Is that what happened? If so, then 1) Why wouldn't Ricardo and team come back and kill him in the dumpster. 2) How long has he been it Witness Protection? Seems like he's been in Michigan long enough to establish a life with a new job and have a family. Wouldn't the dad have been an obvious target of Ricardo and his gang? Why didn't the feds/cops help get the dad out of town as well? 3) Mel figured out that the weird shaved parts on Eric's chest were to accomodate the sticky patches for a wire. When was he supposed to have worn this wire? Was he supposed to recently meet with Ricardo? 4) The guy in the trunk looked black in his mug shot, Ricardo looked Hispanic, these two didn't look like brothers at all. The bit with the drugs in the boxing gym was a snoozefest. 4 Link to comment
Stevie Nicks March 22, 2023 Share March 22, 2023 The drug dealer is totally going to come back with a gun, or Dees new friend is going to get his ass handed to him later on. Which will probably require Robin to save him. Glad to see Dee doing the basic boring training that needs to be done. She so needs to do what her new friend told her. Keep her feet closer together. She's still keeping them too far apart. So with regard to Roy.. As a previous poster said, his dad should have been protected since the killer has just gotten out of prison. He was an obvious target. And at the end, Roy just went back to Michigan... Um.. Isn't he going to have to settle his father's estate now? It's like he just walked away. That nightmare Robin had was intense. Yikes. And next time Mel, give the guy a sweater that's less expensive/important/whatever. That tattoo totally wasn't done recently. Too faded looking. 2 Link to comment

Make us think it's about one of her jobs when it's probably Dee's new friend's drug dealer. 1 Link to comment

When was he supposed to have worn this wire? Was he supposed to recently meet with Ricardo? What I got from it: Eric testified against Ricardo and entered Witness Protection. Ricardo got out and tortured Eric's dad to find out where Eric was and then killed him. Eric came to town and kidnapped Ricardo's brother in order to find Ricardo. He did not intend to kill Ricardo so he wore a wire and wanted to get Ricardo to confirm killing his dad. Either the meeting did not go well or Ricardo tried to kill him on first sight causing Eric to run and hide in the dumpster where he hit his head. Ricardo apparently couldn't find him in the dumpster and was driving around the neighborhood looking for him. Not sure what happened to the wire he was wearing if he was wearing it to meet Ricardo right before he ended up in the dumpster. I took him trying to jump in front of Robyn as a sign that he was a good guy not so much that he was a bad ass. At that point they didn't know if he was a good guy or a bad guy but his first instinct when the bullets started flying was to protect someone else. There was a quick line at the beginning of his story where he said he wandered into a bar and the bartender heard him telling his story and directed him to Robyn's online ad. He called and I think I heard them say Harry told him to come to the bar. 6 Link to comment
possibilities March 24, 2023 Share March 24, 2023 Maybe one of the brothers checked him for a wire, saw it, ripped it off him. But they didn't say, so I'm just guessing. 2 Link to comment
