Snazzy Daisy December 9, 2022 Share December 9, 2022 (edited) Quote Catherine’s frustration intensifies when a lead suspect in Grace’s disappearance is found murdered. The team exhausts all their skills to figure out who killed the suspect, and if his death will lead them to Grace. Airdate: December 8, 2022 Edited December 9, 2022 by SnazzyDaisy Link to comment
Grizzly December 9, 2022 Share December 9, 2022 I liked the ep but who the big bad was made no sense. And there was no reason for the real painting to be at The Eclipse. Glad the whole Grace arc is done. Maybe Catherine can calm down now and be a focused CSI. Previews for next week look intriguing. 2 1 Link to comment
emma675 December 10, 2022 Share December 10, 2022 That was kind of a let down. Grace was killed by a security officer who was working under the orders of a mid level executive who was laundering money through forged paintings? They have had really overly complicated cases this season and I haven't really enjoyed many of them. Next week looks like it might be interesting, if they are bringing back the weird painted room from the last episode of last season. 1 Link to comment
metaphor December 10, 2022 Share December 10, 2022 Glad Catherine is sticking around after solving the Grace case. I hope she'll stay on if the show is renewed for season 3. 1 4 Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy December 10, 2022 Author Share December 10, 2022 Surprisingly, Grace’s murder mystery is solved rather quickly. She’s murdered because she stumbled upon an art forgery operation. Never trust a helpful person! Who would’ve thought that the biggest clues are - a sketch paper Grace shoved into her mouth, 2 small pieces of tortoise-shell and a cloth with Anton's paint on it. One thing that is not believable - a well off Catherine flew to a foreign country to blackmail a foreign mob to return to Vegas to testify. She could’ve been killed and never been found. Anyway, am glad she has decided to stay. 4 2 Link to comment
Msample December 10, 2022 Share December 10, 2022 I'll admit I thought towards the end we were seeing the end of Catherine's return ; glad they pulled off a last minute change of heart and she'll staying with CSI. Hopefully going forward she'll be written closer to the original character and not the weepy version from earlier this season. 2 Link to comment
Andyourlittledog2 December 11, 2022 Share December 11, 2022 I never realized before how incredibly boring obsessions are. I stopped caring about the missing/murdered Grace several episodes ago so solving the case was so boring to me. Catherine was so boring to me. However, the art forgery aspect was interesting. Go figure. 2 Link to comment
GreyBunny December 12, 2022 Share December 12, 2022 Anyone know what the song is at the end of the episode? Shazam and lyric searches turn up nothing. Link to comment
CheshireCat December 12, 2022 Share December 12, 2022 I think the arc did not live up to what they build up to. Did I get that right, they fired Catherine and banned her from her own casino because they were afraid she would discover their money-laundering operation that didn't even get anyone but Grace's murderer arrested? That makes no sense whatsoever. No one thought that taking this kind of actions would spur a former CSI/FBI forensic specialist to investigate? They probably would have done better had they just stayed quiet and sat it out. Catherine's options as a civilian would have been very limited. They set it up to be much more of a conspiracy and I thought for sure that Catherine would uncover that there either was more to Grace's murder or that the murder had nothing to do with why she was fired. I wonder if they had something different planned but changed course halfway through for whatever reason. 1 3 Link to comment

Just flying by the seat of their pants and figured they could come up with an ending when they got bored. I'm just glad its over Link to comment
Ceindreadh February 18, 2023 Share February 18, 2023 I actually laughed out loud when Catherine got to the ground floor and discovered that Mikel had pulled a fast one and escaped. Honestly though, why didn't he just make her disappear when she showed up in his country? You can't tell me he wouldn't have had the connections to make it happen. Link to comment
