Woo, Alexa's family has Money!  With a capital M.  No wonder she talked about a prenup.

Wow.  Bartise and Matt are a pair of huge red flags. 

Matt: "It wasn't as big of an issue as WE  were making it out to be". – i t wasn't WE asshole, it was you. YOU made a simple issue  into a big blow up. 

Colleen: "I wasn't clear with what was said."  -- Nope.  Don't let him gaslight you into taking blame. 

The dynamic between these two feels soooo unhealthy.

And then came Nancy and Bartise's conversation about abortion.  Whoa.  I was so uncomfortable watching that.  He is intransigent about it and almost seems like he doesn't want to give her room for her views.  I liked how she knocked down his pompous "one mistake only.' declaration.  But she seems to wilt in the face of anything he says.  Again, not healthy dynamic at all.  He makes her feel miserable and she just rolls with it. 

Again I am surprised with how much I am ok with Raven this episode.  She is always prickly but I kinda like Sunday morning, no make up, no coffee prickly Raven.  I still am not feeling her and SK at all... not one bit, but they aren't anywhere near as toxic as Nancy/Bartise and Colleen/Matt and also to a lesser extent, Cole and Zanab.

Another surprise, I am not hating Cole as much.  He is still a Bro, but I am not detecting the sole crushing destruction that I feel emanating from Bartise and Matt.  He and Zanab are not a good match though.  I didn't realize he was so much younger than her until this episode.  And it kinda shows.  He has flashes of deepness, but she is too serious for him.  She can't roll with his humor at all.

I am OK with Raven too. At first, I thought she was completely playing along so she could be on the show, but I think she does care about SK. I think the biggest problem is the timing since he's leaving to go to school. I do think he is her type of guy because once he gets out of school, he would be able to improve her standard of living. At least they don't have weird dynamics (that we have seen).

I could tell by looking at her from the get, honestly. And then she mentioned doing Botox (which isn’t limited to the wealthy, but still) and it confirmed it for me. She has an air about her; she’s definitely used to being taken care of.

(They should all have pre-nups. Nancy has assets, she definitely needs one.)

Bartise said he was on his second career; what was his first? Accounting is very stable; Lord knows I value my accountant!

Brennan gave good parent.  Alexa's stepmother looked young.

Raven also gave good parent.  I thought she gave great answers to SK's mom about what drew her to SK.  I just think they're not going to get past the friend stage.  He's going off to Berkely.  She clearly wants to stay in Dallas.  And as much as I like SK, I think he's somewhat defeating the purpose of the show basing itself in one city.  The goal is to pair people who live in the same area so distance doesn't become an obstacle the way it is with other dating shows.  Plus, as much as I think she enjoys his company, I think she's only mildly interested romantically.

I loved that we have a woman coming out and saying "abortion is an option for me" and making it important.  I didn't like that it felt like she had to go out of her way to accommodate his feelings when he's a guy who is so freaked out about father hood that he buys Play B "just in case" and who probably doesn't have the "one accident rule" for dudes.

I go back and forth on him.  I think his "I don't like you when you're upset" was so boneheaded.  But then hearing about his family life and it's no wonder he's so fucked up.

Nancy is so sweet.  She deserves better than Bartise. Before he laid eyes on Raven, their scenes at the resort had me smiling. Literally, I was laying in bed with the flu,  smiling. Then, Raven happened and Bartise showed his ass. Nancy is gorgeous. Also, I know many men who prefer her body not to mention attitude- over Raven's.

Zanab is totally incompatible with Cole.  She also though, deserves 100% better than what she's getting.

Did Nancy say that the property she showed Bartise would earn 6-9K per month?! How.....they aren't even in NY or CA.....is someone in FW really going to rent a home - and it's not even that big or nice - for that much? I know nothing about TX real estate but that sounded insane. 

SK is so laid back and chill, which is great. However, speaking from experience when you are a more high energy person (and I'm not even as high energy as Raven), and you are used to getting a lot of attention (which I'm not either), it can be very frustrating when your partner is so quiet and low key. I can see this becoming something that is very difficult for Raven to deal with. 

Also, SK's mom is beautiful. 

Not sorry at all but people who claim to never wear anything more than one sound so pretentious, what a wasteful and completely unnecessary elitist thing.

I did not like her saying that even if he isn't living there, he should pay 1/2 the rent on what is basically just her place even when he's at school.  Since he will have school expenses, that makes no sense, and it takes funds away from him that she will probably want him to have available for other things later.

I didn't like that either. I think Raven wants marriage to be all about someone taking care of her and improving her lifestyle, without having to compromise her lifestyle. Also, she wants to stay in her place because it's close to the mall?

I'll say this for her - she's beautiful and savvy enough that I think she can find a wealthy man who will give her what she wants. I don't think SK is that guy, though.

Totally.  It reminds me of when I was unemployed and super into fashion, and we'd go gaga recognizing uber rich celebrities re-using their favourite pieces over and over again.  (Magazines do features on this too.)  If they can do it, so can Alexa.  That's crazy.

I'll give Alexa a pass if she gives the once-worn clothes to charity (or friends). But if she throws them out, ugh, that's just awful.

I really hope she meant that if she wears an outfit somewhere important, she won't re-wear it. If she wears something to the supermarket and the coffee shop, and then never re-wears it, that would be just mind-blowing to me.

Alexa apparently did clarify somewhere (Instagram maybe?) that she means she doesn't wear an outfit in the same way twice.  So if she wears a skirt and a top, she'll wear both again but not together. It sounds like a lot of work but at least it's not as bad as disposing of clothing after one wear.
