Good start. I like the idea of Ivy being the one going off the rails, even she has the best of intentions.

Plastique comes from Canada, so of course they gave her that accent. I am easily amused. Ditto Harley claiming that the Queen had an invisible parachute, and Ivy just rolling with it.

Gordon is still unhinged. Why change what works? I would think Mayor would be the iast job he'd want because it's even more thankless than Commissioner.

Harlivy porn fir the win. Ditto Superman and the Jor-El hologram freaking out over it.

Yeah....I don't give a shit about Ivy and Harley being together. Harley is also my least favorite character on this show. I hope I don't tap on this.

The lead character of a show can be your least favorite character. It's not an odd opinion. I've never been into Harley the way others are and I find her quite grating when she's at the center. The large ensemble of characters are what drew me into the show. This first ep was just too much Harley for me. I don't care about her and Ivy romantically either. So, not my favorite episode.

Agreed on all counts. Plus, Harley doesn’t seem remotely good or right for Ivy.

Ivy has been shown to fixate on three people. Catwoman represented who Ivy wished she could be more like. Cool, aloof, super comnpetent at everything, and charismatic without actually seeming to care whatever anyone thought of her. Kite Man represented someone who was crazy about Ivy as she actually already was... except without actually knowing her all that well yet. Harley has seen Ivy at her worst, repeatededly, and still thinks she's the most awesome person in the world. That's why Ivy is with Harley. But whether or not it's really enough, comsidering all their differences in seriousness and agenda (or lack thereof, in Harley's case,) remains to be seen.

I like Harley and Ivy, but this episode definitely showed some big issues they would have to work out. Harley is a thrill seeker while Ivy is pretty happy with her plants and something closer to a low key life, that's going to present some problems.

I always enjoy this shows interpretations of random comic characters, like Plastique going full Canadian.
