Ailianna March 10, 2022 Share March 10, 2022 If you've got much medical history though, the fact one thing is in there doesn't mean it's readily available for the staff to quickly locate. My doctor and I were trying to find something specific about a prior surgery, and even knowing the date, we couldn't find it because the chart is long and has a lot of things in it. So for routine things, I'm sure its a lot faster to just ask the patient, who probably knows the answer immediately. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/127423-s03e09-the-bird/page/2/#findComment-7335131
ninjakid March 10, 2022 Share March 10, 2022 Yes, but I was not about to pay for a pregnancy test before my procedure to deal with post-menopausal bleeding. (For which I'd had an ultrasound already) Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/127423-s03e09-the-bird/page/2/#findComment-7335347
tennisgurl March 10, 2022 Share March 10, 2022 (edited) I'm so upset about Ginsberg, he was the best thing about this season so far! Also, I swear I heard him say "fuckface" every single time. This story with Paul is really weird, what is the point of it besides drama? Will they write him out of the show? I guess they wanted to spread out the near death experiences, TK has had so many lately they wanted to spread the love. Speaking of, show of hands, who isn't at all surprised that TK nearly drowned as a kid? Get used to it kid, this is going to be a major theme of your life. Bruinsfan March 10, 2022 Share March 10, 2022 Of course Ginsberg died; he joined the 126 Family! Too bad you can't do emergency CPR on a macaw. The episode confused me because at first it seemed like Marjan and Paul lived together (and I'd bet the doctor they consulted with thought they were a couple). Then she showed up at his door and had to kick it in rather than having her own key. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/127423-s03e09-the-bird/page/2/#findComment-7335470
possibilities March 10, 2022 Share March 10, 2022 People often thought my close friend and I were partners when they saw us together in public, so I think it just looks that way to people when two adults are very close, especially when they are male-female or of whatever gender people assume they are attracted to. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/127423-s03e09-the-bird/page/2/#findComment-7335548
DearEvette March 12, 2022 Share March 12, 2022 I hated everything about this entire episode. I hated the stupid woman who was face-timing on the phone while driving with a baby in the back seat. I hated the mean old lady. I hated the fact that for a show called 9-1-1 we really only got, what, two real rescue calls? And this has been a trend this season. I hated that instead of actually getting any real rescue calls we are once again mired in the endless drudgery of the Strand family drama/trauma. I hate the fact that the show can't seem to write for their regular characters unless they are mired in some sort of personal near death trauma. I hated that they killed the bird. So fucking unnecessary. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/127423-s03e09-the-bird/page/2/#findComment-7339237
juliet73 March 17, 2022 Share March 17, 2022 This episode was awful. First, no Grace and minimal Judd. Secondly, the calls were all beyond stupid. When was the last time the crew was even on a fire call? The parrot storyline was total filler and a complete waste of time. The bird had never been mentioned before and will probably never be spoke of again...unless TK brings up his death and how he's so traumatized by his sudden passing at the next group therapy session. Is Paul's heart condition heredity? His dad died young from a heart attack, but Paul blamed it on pizza and hot dogs when perhaps, he had the same condition that Paul has. I thought it was odd that the Dr didn't mention anything about him being trans, etc but immediately asked if he experienced nightmares. And since Paul said yes, he obviously has this rare XYZ heart disease. Seriously? And he'll be lucky if he lives another 4 years, yet the next day, he collapses from a heart attack just so we could get a Paul is pissed at Marjan storyline? I would have rather seen Paul's arc being about him having the heart issue, but taking a few episodes to actually figure out what it was and seeing if it was related to him being trans. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/127423-s03e09-the-bird/page/2/#findComment-7347753

Yeah, like Marjan was his health proxy? Not his family, whom we met last season??? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/127423-s03e09-the-bird/page/2/#findComment-7379647

Having Marjan as his health proxy would make a certain amount of sense as in the event of there being a time sensitive issue, she's geographically closer to him than his family are. But there was no mention of it in the episode. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/127423-s03e09-the-bird/page/2/#findComment-7632673
