Time Bandit and Cornelia Marie race for the last spot at the cannery, but as word spreads of an emergency shutdown of the Bairdi fishery, they return to the grounds as Sig Hansen rallies his fellow captains with an unconventional plan.

So Josh the greatest fisherman eva has no clue that spots at the cannery are on a first come first serve basis and it has to be explained to him?   Also good for Casey doing what he to do to protect his boat owner's interest, said boat owner being on ANOTHER BOAT that was trying to shut him out.

Oh look, they all went to where the Bairdi was?   Of course they politely asked HARLEY permission to join him before they did.   Instead of you know just going "hmmm everyone is there, guess I should head there too" like they did in the past.  And amazingly enough they SAVED THE FISHERY.   The suspense was killing me.

Found this interesting info online about the ownership of the CM.

"Deadliest Catch stars Josh Harris and Casey McManus are co-captains. Turns out, they are also co-owners of the F/V Cornelia Marie. According to an interview with Yahoo, Captain Casey explained the ownership situation. Josh Harris owns the majority of the boat. Casey, and two other investors, Roger Thomas and Kari Toivola, make up the entire ownership team.

Some people were hard on Josh Harris for not fully owning his father’s boat. Many would have liked to just see Josh or Josh and Casey co-own. Captain Casey explained that if it was not for the other two owners, Josh would be up the proverbial creek. Owning a crab fishing boat is expensive and includes a lot of responsibilities.

These responsibilities include updating and refurbishing the boat.

While Deadliest Catch fans don’t see Thomas and Toivola on the show, when it comes to maintenance, they are there. When the boat is docked, Casey shared that they are “all over it in coveralls.” Both men are “hands on.”

They have some useful skills that allow them to weld and cut steel. That is important when you own a crab boat. That is because the Bering Sea is pretty rough on the structure.

Over the past few years, the quartet has upgraded the bathroom, the captain’s room, state rooms and the wheelhouse. In the updated wheelhouse, they added fancy new radar systems. This is important for safety when they are out on the treacherous Bering Sea.

There are even more updates, including new rudder controls. Although the famed crab boat was built in 1989, it is faster than ever. New changes to the propellers have made the crab boat faster than ever. Captain Phil, the speed demon, would have loved the speed.

Thanks to this talented team, the boat has had quite an overhaul. The F/V Cornelia Marie has been modernized and cleaned up and ready to fish."

True statement in the bolded part above.  And it's interesting that Casey said the two OTHER owners are "all over the ship in overalls" and are "hands on."  I don't think Josh can even spell "overalls," much less own a pair.

Indeed.
Seems the more we learn about Josh, the more he is exposed as a fraud.

Phil wasn't even a full owner of the CM.   How people forget that.   The real Cornelia Marie owned the other half.   She got so pissed at how her friend was treated by the Harris brothers that she sold up rather than deal with those boys anymore.   Which tells you volumes.

Yeah Joshie aint' doing any actual work on the boat.   He also isn't paying for anything either.   While those guys are doing the actual work to keep the boat running he is off playing fisherman in Hawaii.

If I remember correctly, Phil only owned 25% of the boat.  So when he died, each of the boys owned 12.5% . . . which didn't stop them from acting like they were big shot owners.  I think Jake sold his half to Josh and snorted what he made from the deal.

It was widely discussed that the CM was in desperate need of a major refurbishment 2015, which is when Thomas and Toivola stepped in with money in return for a big chunk of the boat. The CM's maintenance had been so neglected that Casey and Josh had no other option than to sell a big share to have enough money for a complete overhaul. (marinelog.com, 2015)

Most articles on the internet have stated that both men now own  50% of the CM, leaving the other 50% to Casey and Josh. That means that Josh can never own the majority of the boat He'd need at least 51% for a majority and he has only 50% which he has to share with Casey.

Guess this is another of the many lies and dodgy claims surrounding Josh Harris...

What a tangled web we weave when we first endeavor to deceive.  That has got to be the Discovery motto, amIright?!!!!!

Something was very off with no scenes of Jake A. and the Saga the past few weeks.  He clearly did well.  He does not care about the fleet?  He must have had super smooth sailing for Disco to ignore him.

Several F/Vs were all around "home plate" for a majority of the season.  How was it different for Harley to be there, and then to have others "join" him?  Shenanigans, that's how.  I did enjoy Mandy's eye-rolling and evident mistrust as Sig was (supposedly) buying into Harley's scheme.

So, now that Fish & Game has seen how much difficulty the fleet had, are we to not assume they will be looking to reduce the quotas for next season?

Just how did the Wizard vault past all the others with double or triple the harvest?  Unless, of course, there were no time pressures or reduced season.

Most telling to me in this episode was when Josh referred to the Time Bandit as "my boat" when they were jockeying for position at the cannery - something like "you can see the back of my boat."

Do you think for one single second that ANY of the actual captains would ever refer to a boat they were hitching a ride on as "my boat"?

The second the show is canceled, Casey's going to buy him out. Hopefully he's smart enough to be socking it away knowing this will happen in the not too distant future.

I dunno.   Casey is along for the ride on that stupid bloodlines thing too.    So he might be just as camera hungry as Josh.   You notice he said the OTHER owners had skills and THEY were working on the boat, not him.

Casey is a hell of a skipper and knows the boat inside out and backwards. What does Josh bring to the table, other than a face for the cameras? Who'd you rather have at the helm if things go to hell in a hurry? If there's no TV show, which of the two offers the owners a better skillset?
