But why? Why, Top Chef? Your brand has always been about professional chefs (except the unfortunate kid thing). I could be wrong. Maybe I'll love it. But this reeks of Food Network. Is that your goal?

Could instead be trying to fill the gap that Masterchef fills in countries like Australia & the UK, where they emphasize skill & talent rather than antics. Since the only US cooking show that really does that is Top Chef, the branding would be a good setup for it.

I need to send this to Mr. Snappy. He may be too old for their needs at 65 but he’s an amazing home chef (with comfort in front of an audience as professional musician)  

Every episode we (re)watch (our daily hunkering treat, we’re midway through S6) I play “WWWD?” and he considers what he’d do with said challenge. I think his only “weak point” might be the fancy artsy fun plating part ... but he could work on that lol!

I read that they are in the process of working on S18. So maybe not right on time and maybe with new vision but still hopefully something.

YES!!! PLEASE DO!!! And bring D ❤️ ... (ETA because my memory) ... Seriously, since we're rewatching the whole "oeuvre" (just restarted S7) I always wonder WWWD for every challenge! 

Mr. Snappy grew up in a blended family of which all branches had fingers/tentacles in a lot of top NYC restaurants and he made pocket change by working in kitchens where he shared space with Jacques Pepin among others! It has been hard to keep my girlish figure these 37-plus years!

I just say "what do you have to lose????" especially as we're retiring anyway!

The TC Alum who will be part of this are now quarantining in Portland which makes sense for them to build off the bubble from the main show.

I wonder where they're staying and where they'll be cooking?  I'm happy they're finally filming in Portland/Oregon, but I wish they had done it pre-Covid because I'm sure they will be very limited in where they can shop/cook/go.

I wish!!!! I couldn’t convince him. That said, while his cooking is amazing, he’s not big into plating so I’m sure he’d have been outclassed. Very excited to watch this though!

Wow! This show was so bad! I made it through one Blaze-forward episode, but it's gonna be unwatchable for me! It's just about who can suck up to past Top Chef contestants better.
