According to TV Line's mid-season ratings check-in:

Quote

Tracker’s gain appears to be The Equalizer‘s loss, as Queen Latifah’s spinoff-spawning action drama is now drawing markedly fewer viewers in its (soon-to-be-much) later Sunday time slot.

I still think that Equalizer will get a sixth season; there are several shows on the network doing worse than it, so I think they'd go first.

If the sixth season is the last, I can see the spin-off being its replacement.

Latifah performed on the Oscars tonight, singing "Ease on Down the Road" from The Wiz as a tribute to Quincy Jones.  Although she hadn't done this song because it's from Dorothy and Scarecrow, she was of course very familiar with it from having played The Wiz in the NBC production.  I knew she was going to be on because Entertainment Tonight mentioned it, but they never said anything about her in the Oscars broadcast until Whoopi and Oprah introduced her to sing.  Maybe it was supposed to be a surprise?  Anyway, the one problem is that this was after 10 PM Eastern, so she was competing against her own show in much of the country!  (I still had a couple hours to wait for The Equalizer after the Oscars ended.)  The ratings will probably be the same as they usually are in the new time slot though--they barely went up in the 18 to 49 demographic last week, though there were a few more in total viewers.

Some discussion at Deadline about the Equalizer's renewal chances:

Quote

Like last year, I hear The Equalizer star/executive producer Queen Latifah is negotiating her deal with lead studio Universal Television which has been looking to trim costs on the show. Things are looking good on that front, I hear, and conversations between CBS and Universal TV are ongoing, sources said. People close to the show are hopeful that The Equalizer would get a renewal for what could be a sixth and final season. (If that doesn’t happen, the upcoming Season 5 finale could potentially serve as a series finale, I hear.)

There has been little talk about The Equalizer planted spinoff so it’s unclear whether the mothership could be used to launch the offshoot next season. If that happens, the two shows may have to split the season with a fall and midseason order, respectively, because CBS’ drama roster is packed.

Also mentions that CBS's schedule next season is pretty packed between returning and new shows.
