Prower February 9, 2020 Share February 9, 2020 Did I miss something or did this not make a lick of sense? They still had the music box and the music box key, right? How come they never think for a second to use it on the guy. They could have made him shoot himself, or turn himself into the police. Anything basically. Instead they use the ghost key for a second and then fumle around aimlessly for half an hour. 7 Link to comment

And, as Kinsey is finding out, not having any fear makes for very rash and not well thought out decisions. Had any of them realized that Sam was coming, they might have planned a better trap for him. Though to be fair, up until this point the only one trying to plan traps is Bode (who is being played as quite young based on the fact that no one at his school or near him has ever seen someone give the middle finger before) with a little help from Rufus. 2 Link to comment

I Can't stand idiotic characters. Its one thing if they didn't have time to get it, or Couldn't get to it, but they didn't even try?! The second you realize you have an intruder, especially having already dealt with an intruder in the past (with poor outcome) you go get the music box! Just to be on the safe side. Frustrating! 2 Link to comment
leighdear February 16, 2020 Share February 16, 2020 As soon as Nina said she was 6 years sober, you had to KNOW that the bottle of artisanal Gin that Ellie had brought her was gonna get pulled out eventually to destroy that run. Dodge keeps reminding me of Krystan Ritter at time. Link to comment

Using the Ghost Key to assess the situation was a sound idea and it left them plenty of time for, I dunno, use the music box with Sam and trap him into the mirror world? Just an idea! At least Kinsey had the good sense of hiding the Head Key... only for Tyler to practically handed it over to Sam on a silver plate five minutes later. GAH. I was cheering for Dodge by that point. 2 Link to comment
FormerMod-a1 February 24, 2020 Share February 24, 2020 When Kinsey's fear was unearthed, I thought they had used the head key and were in her head somehow. And I thought that was quite the trick. I was wrong. So, is her fear "loose" again now? And how was it buried in the "real world?" Is the ghost key still in that door? Link to comment

In the earlier episode we saw Kinsey drag her fear out of her head and bury it. So I guess we learned in that episode that you can take things out of someone's head and bring them into the real world. And we also learned that you can throw a book into your head and know all of its contents. 1 1 Link to comment

BaskingsharkGTX March 4, 2020 Share March 4, 2020 (edited) Uh, so is the Ghost Key still in the door? Or did they find it and take it out? Because otherwise everyone who walks through that door turns into a ghost now, right? Also how come Bode can fly through walls as a ghost, but Sam can't fly through the wall and get back into his body? OK, so I get that if the door with the key in it is closed the ghosty person probably can't come back through it, but what's to stop him going back another way? Like through the wall next to the door? I made the mistake of reading the comics this show is based on. They are SO much better. Interestingly, the actors who were cast when this was going to be on Hulu and who were then let go and replaced by this cast (except the little boy who plays Bode who is the only one they kept) look much more like their comic counterparts. This cast was definitely chosen to be more generically pretty though. Edited March 4, 2020 by BaskingsharkGTX Link to comment

Of course that is a big downside to that key because anyone can stop you from getting back in your body if they just close the door. Link to comment
QuantumMechanic April 5, 2021 Share April 5, 2021 (edited) This was definitely an episode of passing the Idiot Ball around. In addition to not imperious-ing Sam with the music box once they knew it was him, how about the stupidity of TOTALLY IGNORING THE GUN each time it was knocked out of Sam’s hand??
