Trini November 24, 2019 Share November 24, 2019 (edited) Quote Anissa and Jefferson have a heart-to-heart and she tells him she needs Black Lightning's help in escorting meta refugees out of the perimeter. Meanwhile, Gambi implores Lynn to help get him access to the Pit. Lastly, Jennifer grows closer to Brandon (guest star Jahking Guilory). Oz Scott directed the episode written by Lynelle White. Trini November 26, 2019 Author Share November 26, 2019 Eddie Munster - LOL! This felt like one part of a two-parter. Most of the subplots didn't get resolved. Finally our heroes know about Khalil. Speaking of, I appreciate the eye candy! (Seriously, is Jordan auditioning for the next superhero film??) 3 Link to comment
thuganomics85 November 26, 2019 Share November 26, 2019 So, Odell isn't dead after-all, huh? I guess it would take more than a mere bullet to keep him down! I kind of wonder what he's going to be more pissed about when he gets back, because while I'm sure he won't be a fan of Jefferson going against ASA, I really don't see him being impressed with his underling's more "bull in a china shop" approach to handling things. Looks like they are shuffling Grace off screen for a bit, with the whole "she can't stop shifting, so she has to go into hiding" act. Hopefully she won't be gone for too long. Aww, don't fight, Jefferson and Henderson! Gambi and Lynn find out about Khalil/Painkiller, and while the former wants to put him down, the latter believes she can cure him, and is popping that green again to do so. This is so not going to end well. Black Lightning vs. Painkiller seems to be on the menu, folks! 5 Link to comment
LadyOracle November 26, 2019 Share November 26, 2019 (edited) Another good episode. First, I most definitely did not like how Jen was playing Brandon. He seems like a good guy and pretty much saved her from exposing her powers to everyone. It seems like Jen has a crush on him, but doesn't know how to handle it, so she try to lure him in with weed or info on Jace - when she didn't have no intel. So not cool, Jen!! Jace killed this boy's mom. My favorite scene in the entire episode was the Jefferson - Henderson argument. Yeah...I know it's wrong for these two to fight. But I like that Henderson is no longer sitting towards the sideline and taking orders. And Henderson had so many valid points. Jefferson wants total transparency, but only on his terms. Jefferson griping at Henderson for keeping a secret about his underground organization, but he's been keeping the biggest secret for the past 30 years. Everything has to be done on Jefferson's terms. Jefferson needs to listen to others right now. Case in point - Tavon. I didn't expect Gambi to reveal the news the way he did. I naively thought it was going to be by family meeting. But forgot the Pierce family are completely disjointed right now. Lynn set on playing a savior and saving Khalil and it's not going to end well at all. And Painkiller is assigned to kill Black Lightning....again. Will he succeed again? Maybe Lightning will be joining the fight in attacking Painkiller. Odell is alive.....yay? 🙄 Edited November 26, 2019 by LadyOracle 5 Link to comment
tennisgurl November 26, 2019 Share November 26, 2019 Of course a measly bullet couldn't stop Odell, he is too mean of an old bastard. He is also going to be pissed that his second in command is causing all sort of shit, he is normally way more subtle in his evil than this. The Pierce family continues to fracture and struggle, all getting pulled further and further from each other, and its so sad to see. Glad that Lynn now knows about Khalil, even if her plan to save him seems like its going to be a tall order. I also wonder if Gambi is right, and killing him wouldn't just be a mercy at this point, especially if this means giving him memories of murdering his own mother. Grace and Anissa are separated again! Poor Grace needs all of the therapy, although I guess its hard to explain her exact problem (I keep changing shape into different people and a tiger!) to your average therapist! Dont fight Jefferson and Henderson! You all need to be working together, this is such a mess the city needs all the help it can get! 2 Link to comment
Lantern7 November 27, 2019 Share November 27, 2019 Well, Freeland is still the most miserable place in the Arrowverse, but this didn't feel that hard of an episode. I mean, it was still painful in places. I think the hero of this episode was whomever decided to show Khalil getting his implant ripped out, and NOT include the "I always said I'd have your back!" line from Tobias. That's restraint right there. Oh, and Odell is going to make a full recovery. Now I feel like a jerk for celebrating last week. possibilities November 27, 2019 Share November 27, 2019 Sending Grace away on her own was crazy. She needs support and she has no one outside the perimeter. THis will end badly. PLUS, she has abandonment issues and Anissa LIED to her about them being together again soon, so that will only make Grace's insecurity worse. I miss how it was when Grace was a badass equal to Anissa, and not an epic damsel in distress. They could have put Grace in Gambi's underground lair. He's hiding, so could she. 3 Link to comment
AnimeMania November 30, 2019 Share November 30, 2019 It would be funny if the little old man was Grace's true form, I bet Anissa won't be dating her then. Link to comment

One of the ASA soldiers, Grayle, told the others to leave an old man alone when they were going house to house and didn't look happy with the ASA tactics/brutality, so there might be one in the mix with a dimension. Rockstar99435 December 6, 2019 Share December 6, 2019 As much as I enjoy watching Khalil's training scenes, I just have to know, what exactly are they offering his sparing partners in terms of compensation? Why would it ever be worth it to take that job? Almost every single time we see him practice, he maims, paralyzes, and/or straight up kills his sparing partner. 2 Link to comment
possibilities December 7, 2019 Share December 7, 2019 I don't think anyone is there voluntarily or for a career opportunity. The ASA isn't that kind of operation. Link to comment
