Culture Check: How can we discuss a character's or actor's appearance without objectifying them? How can we express likes or dislikes and still respect an individual's humanity or be mindful that a character represents a person someone else might relate to or identify with?

Didn't Felicia come back to town for that? 'Determined to find Georgie's killer?' And then I don't think she even stayed for the climax lol

She did. And Maxie ripped her a new one at Georgie’s funeral. This was also when we learned Felicia had been a spying with Frisco on WSB adventures.

I can hand wave anything Ric has done, all to appease MoB.  Didn't Mo have a hissy fit over Ted King's leather jacket?  They had to write Ric as a jerk.

LiRic brought the pretty.

Exactly!  As long as the 'hero' of this show is an unapologetic mobster, I too can hand wave anything Ric and most other characters have done or will do too. As for LiRic, to this day, so much pretty!

Did anyone else think it was really weird that Maxie said her 9 year old son has been bugging her for a play date with 4 year old Wylie? Was that just a ploy to get Willow to Maxie’s house so she can try to talk some sense into her? And what is James going to do with the brat when he gets there?

It's weird when we forget that James and Wylie are related via sisters Leisl and Madeline. I'm not going into the whole what kind of cousins they are. It's confusing.

So I was not watching much during the incredibly boring period surrounding Wagger's death. How exactly did he break bad? Does Anna know Sonny killed him and does she care?

I skipped a lot of the material because I liked the actor and the beginning of his stint (even if with beach bum looks he should never have been cast as Jagger), from being interesting and flirty, with everyone on the show starting to see Sonny for the thug he is, he became obsessed with taking Sonny down and acting irrationally. He supposedly got with Ava as part of this and questioned Kristina in the hospital after the Ava/pool/baby loss accident and arrested her after she got out to put pressure on Sonny I think.

Anyhow, the debacle was due to a change in writing regimes and was a sh*t way to treat an actor and a legacy character, but MB complained and a change apparently happened.

I see the same happening to the Brennan character which could’ve been why CM jumped ship, or not. Just my personal speculation. Being more charming and interesting than MB doesn’t seem to pay.

Bitter, me? You bet, which is why I’m pausing viewing.

Maurice had a minor breakdown IRL during the switched meds storyline last spring (which he previously said he was enjoying) and I do think his issues sometimes inform the story they allow to go forward, but I don't at all believe he complained about Jagger or ordered Adam Harrington fired. And I don't think he had anything at all to do with Charles Mesure's strange and abrupt exit.

I'm aware of when Patrick Mulcahey exited. What I'm curious about are the story events where Jagger turned bad, what he did and what Anna and the PCPD actually know about Sonny killing Cates or what they've said about it.

I think everybody "knows" Sonny killed Jagger but Carly (faked a concurrent romantic liaison with Sonny), Michael (failed to mention he witnessed it) and Jason (got rid of the gun) helped Sonny cover it up for about five minutes, and then the show moved on.  Alexis was arrested for the murder for two of those five minutes, and was suspected of covering for Kristina (who had taken another gun from Sonny's and was angry enough to do it, but didn't).
