Wonder how long she has been divorced.  Seemed like she hasn't dated since the divorce.

Her interest in porn is new so while Brendan was around, she was disinterested in any kind sex?

Free samples at the supermarkets around here are nothing like that.

Looks like Brendan may end up liking the autism volunteer girl rather than continue his player ways.

They should have put some of that primo nudity into the first episode. They were trying to make me question why I was watching.

That poor girl have to stand all day in the freezer aisle to make sure her natural popsicles stayed hard.

I got the impression that she had poured all her efforts into her son and her job (she may have had to since it appears her ex basically ditched them for his new family), leaving no room for anything else. It doesn't appear that she's dated anyone since her divorce, hence her panic over the blind date.

Was Brendan's hookup supposed to be faking it? Because she seemed like she was faking it. I assumed it was the porn culture thing again - they were both acting out what they'd seen in porn.

Brendan wasnt exactly being cooperative, but his adviser could have handled that meeting a lot better. I wonder if he will get together with the girl from the autism group, and maybe actually grow a bit as a person. I mean, thats what college is for! Its not all finding mythical six figure jobs! 

It seems like Eve has really focused so much on her son that she has not even thought about dating before, and while I am totally cool with her trying to find her sexy sweet spot, I hope that she can find some other ways to give her life meaning. I hope we get more insight into the divorce, it seems like her ex has almost nothing to do with Brendan anymore, and Brendan saying that his half brother is his "fathers son" seems to say a lot.

I read the restaurant scene as her looking around at all the middle aged/old people on dates freaking her out because she doesn’t feel like one of them. She’s intrigued by the young guy in her writing class and maybe the new found porn interest has her wanting more excitement. Shes not ready to settle into something quiet. That’s my take on it. I could do without the college portion of the show but I assume it’s going somewhere.

So she's having a midlife crisis like a middle aged guy.

No sports car yet but she's looking for young excitement?

Certainly seems like they're going to set up some MILF scenarios.

I was confused about how the old man who got booted from her facility ended up in the pool.  Was that also a hallucination?  

What she saw in the restaurant was middle-aged boring "romance," including couples who weren't speaking to each other.  She wants something hotter.

I think Tom Perotta is a great writer but I found the novel vaguely sexist and I'm watching this in the hope that Katherine Hahn can assuage my doubts.

All the episodes are directed by women so that helps.

I actually thought she was an asshole for bolting like that from the date. He didn't deserve that at all.

The actor playing Brandon is so good at playing an ass. He reminds me so much of Robert Pattinson. Other than his abs he seemingly has no redeeming qualities.

Yeah, I had issues with him.taking on a middle aged woman's sexuality too. The porn obsession feels very male to me. Women read porn, they don't watch it as much in my experience. Or if they watch it is with a partner. 

I had an acquaintance who was a stripper.and couples would come together but it was rare for a single lady to show up.

He wanted to go back to the seniors' facility. He was realizing that his dementia was progressing and he couldn't go back any more.

This didn't ring true to me.  It would have made more sense for her to be into porn after her husband left because she would have been put off anything more and angry at her ex. This is the time with her son gone when she would be interested in an actual relationship.
