Harvey October 2, 2019 Share October 2, 2019 I'd like to see Trevor - Bonnie's therapist helping her deal with her ADD - more. Both of his appearances were comedy gold. 4 Link to comment
Amazee-Dayzee October 3, 2019 Share October 3, 2019 Why is it that ever since somewhere around season 5 or season 6 that it seems that Bonnie seems to be growing more and more as a character while Christy seems to be regressing in leaps and bounds? I just don’t get it as I really was looking forward to seeing Christy improve. Why can’t the show have both Bonnie and Christy become stronger without one having to backslide? I really don’t get it and it does kind of annoy me a whole lot since I see the both of them as main characters. Do they like Allison Janney a whole lot better for some reason and don’t want her to be outshined? Or did Anna Faris do something to piss off Chuck Lorre? If she did, I suppose it could be worse as he hasn’t piano’d her yet. 4 Link to comment

It's sad and not entertaining to me to see what they've done to Christy as a character over the past few seasons. It's either to make Allison more of the focus since she's been winning awards and/or what you mentioned about Anna pissing someone off. 3 Link to comment

And Bonnie already backslid in a major way in season 2. Plus Christie does has the harder life. Working + school + single + estranged from her kids + meetings. What does Bonnie have? A manager job where Tammy does a bulk of her work and a husband who adores her. Why would she struggle. 1 Link to comment

Meetings are supposed to help with that, but sometimes it just gets too overwhelming. I'd like to see Bonnie and Tammy do some Al-Anon. We have dual members, because addiction often has it's roots in childhood trauma. 1 Link to comment
Jaded October 4, 2019 Share October 4, 2019 I don't find Christy's backsliding entertaining in the way they have been writing it. It's like they've dumbed her down, made her overly whiny and obnoxious in ways she wasn't the first few years. 8 Link to comment

She’s stuck in a never ending loop where nothing really gets resolved. Christy’s life is changing but I don’t feel like she has changed. Link to comment
Amazee-Dayzee October 4, 2019 Share October 4, 2019 I'm not saying that Christy can't backslide. I'm saying that she doesn't have to be made to be a reprobate and unlikable during it. That is what I was trying to get at. I think they are purposely writing her like this for some reason. If it was just Christy about to have a relapse, it would have been different. 3 Link to comment

I won't be remotely surprised if she ends up moving in with one of the characters. I like her, but I'm not sure if there's room in this cast for someone new. We see so little of Marjorie and especially Wendy as it is. I hope not. Beyond the reason you mention, I cannot stand her as an actress. I thought it was just the voice she was using on Big Bang Theory, but no, that's her voice, and it really gets on my last nerve. She has a history of being unable to resist temptation. Look what happened when she went into a gambling casino. We haven't seen her relapse as far as alcohol and drugs are concerned, just gambling. So maybe one temptation has replaced others? Link to comment
Bastet October 10, 2019 Share October 10, 2019 Christy has been serving drinks in a restaurant for nearly 15 years now (assuming she's still there; I only watch in syndication, so the plots I read about here don't always stick in my mind until I actually see them happen), and once she got sober, it didn't become a problem for her to keep doing that, so I don't think working at Adam's bar would be much different. 1 4 Link to comment
