Amazee-Dayzee October 3, 2019 Share October 3, 2019 Why is it that ever since somewhere around season 5 or season 6 that it seems that Bonnie seems to be growing more and more as a character while Christy seems to be regressing in leaps and bounds? I just don’t get it as I really was looking forward to seeing Christy improve. Why can’t the show have both Bonnie and Christy become stronger without one having to backslide? I really don’t get it and it does kind of annoy me a whole lot since I see the both of them as main characters. Do they like Allison Janney a whole lot better for some reason and don’t want her to be outshined? Or did Anna Faris do something to piss off Chuck Lorre? And Bonnie already backslid in a major way in season 2. Plus Christie does has the harder life. Working + school + single + estranged from her kids + meetings. What does Bonnie have? A manager job where Tammy does a bulk of her work and a husband who adores her. Meetings are supposed to help with that, but sometimes it just gets too overwhelming. I'd like to see Bonnie and Tammy do some Al-Anon. She’s stuck in a never ending loop where nothing really gets resolved. Christy’s life is changing but I don’t feel like she has changed. That is what I was trying to get at. I think they are purposely writing her like this for some reason. She's older, and has been in Al-Anon forever, and is well versed in everything.
