Wow, another dismal episode. Oh, where to begin... ..something I don't think mentioned was why is Supergirl out in public without her super powers? She should have been in DOE where she is safe. She is way too important to take a chance on getting killed. It was cliché time...the earthquake just when SG doesn't have her powers, SG taking down the robbers with her reason, the jealously of Winn...oh my, not interesting. And Cat continues to annoy. And when we were informed that only an adrenaline rush would bring her powers back, we knew that Jimmy would get into trouble and bring this about. The MM reveal was expected, but good. Perhaps he can be another character that might be interesting. Melissa still is the only thing really good about this show. She is adorable as Kara and engaging as Supergirl.

Not unless you turned the show right off when it ended last week as it clearly showed in the scenes from this week that she had lost her powers.
-
Yep, the show is forgetting Supergirl has super speed and no matter how strong the robot was, he didn't have super speed or quickness and she should have been able to out maneuver it and take it down relatively easily. But, they still want to play the pro wrestling shtick and let Supergirl stand around and let the villain get the first blow in. Really lame. Yep, that was right of the cliché character writing school. Nothing interesting or original about him at all. What a waste. They've made Jimmy into the masculine guy who is usually a nerdy guy. And Kara is really the nerdy girl and so is Supergirl who shouldn't be. I'm not buying her jealousy of Jimmy's girl. How long has she known him? Plus, why is she such a nerd when her sister is such a go getter and they grew up in the same family?

Agree with you on everything. A whole lot of meh in this ep.
-
Agree on both points. The show acts like Supergirl doesn't have Super speed. And Melissa's portrayal for me is the only really good thing about the show. Everything else is poor or average.
-
Well, the criticisms mean that someone is watching and cares. But, this is certainly the least quality superhero show on television. The show is caught somewhere between comedy and drama and isn't exactly doing either one very good. I wanted to really like it, and save for Melissa's performance, nothing is really that that compelling. Let's see if it can improve.

Name one character she doesn't have angst with. Actually, it comes across more like a cartoon than Flash or Arrow.
-
Love the franchise, but this show is starting to drift for me. Way too much angst. Kara and her boss, Kara and her gov't boss. Kara and her mom. Her mom and her sister. Winn and her. I'm exhausted from watching that episode. It should be called Super Angst Girl. They focus way to much on the angst in her life and less that she is really a super hero. And again, this week, she should have been able to dispose of the villain much quicker. She has super speed which she did not use all the time. Standing there and getting hit like a professional wrestler is silly. This show is really comic booky and cheesy and isn't close to Arrow or the Flash for compelling storylines. But, I still love Melissa's portrayal of Kara and Supergirl. For me, it's the only thing working.

I'm a big Superman fan and like anything to do with this universe. And I liked the first episode especially Melissa's innocent portrayal of Kara and Supergirl. But, I thought that episode was lame. Cliches and silliness all throughout....oh my, where to start... Supergirl should have been able to dispatch of Reactron much quicker. She has the speed element which she barely used. In both fights, she just stood there and let him hit her and blaze bolts at her. It reminded of professional wrestling when they let the other guy hit them without much resistance. And way too much Kara angst at everything. The Clark Kent nerd persona of Superman was supposed to be just that, but now we have Supergirl who is really like that. Wow, she has trouble dealing with her boss, her co-worker, her gov't boss, the bad guy, the rich soon to be bad guy and even rival girl for her new crush. Yikes, that was a lot of angst for one episode. She has super powers yet she's taking hints from the military on how to defeat Reactron. Hey, use your xray vision a little earlier. Calista Flockheart continues to be wasted and is a way over the top total bore. And all her conversations with Kara are just lame and painful. I thought Flash was a little cheesy when it started, but this show is three times as bad. And the plot pacing reminded me of the old Batman TV series. I'm probably in it for the season, but I hope it improves a lot because that was disappointing.

I thought Melissa's portrayal of Supergirl and Kara were enchanting. I especially liked her innocent Kara persona which was great when she was telling her friend on the roof who she was. They did handle, although somewhat surprisingly, the problem when you have someone with super powers. Creating bad guys who are a challenge can be daunting. Buffy did a great job of it. But here, they had Supergirl being taken down by the gov't and bad guys with super powers too. Plus, she got hurt. I like Jimmy and her friend. Flockhart's character is way over the top and is irritating. Who would work for her any length of time and especially if you had super powers. The gov't guy was ridiculous. You have a girl with super powers and you have to battle guys with them and you're alienating her. Made no sense. Interesting beginning, but not outstanding. I'll wait and see where they take it. I'm in for the duration because I like everything Superman and all super heroes. I like Flash and Arrow which, at this point, are better shows.

Certainly not as good as the original Heroes, but good enough to keep watching. I kind of like video game Katana Girl. Also, high school kid was fun too. Always great to see HRG. I give this a 7. Let's see where it goes.

"This is Don Lemon reporting. We have spotted a zombie and we will have film in just a minute. There it is.....wait a minute... ...no, sorry, that's Hillary Clinton........:)

Walk with the walkers in a moonwalk. They call BH's moonwalks in some places.

Add some bad writing and cheese, mix together and you get one of the worst shows of all time. It was so bad it did seem like it was a parody. I had fun making fun of it and I never took it seriously. Enjoyed it guys. See you on another show.

Oh Zach, what an obnoxious kid. His characters acts like the show is all about him and he seems oblivious that something else is wrong. Example that no one mentioned... Eph has a rifle around his shoulder and Zach says "What's that for?"....really, maybe let's think....um, oh yeah, there are crazed vampires running all over the city trying to kill us. The sad thing is he isn't the only character to ask Eph that. So did Nora. Bad, bad writing. And Nora makes a big deal about him telling her what happened on the train. Who cares? There are vampires running all over the city killing people. And then Nora, in a Lifetime movie moment about Zach to Eph..."He's getting mixed signals from you. You leave and he didn't want you to and then you don't even call him.....Hey Nora, he's trying to stop the vampire apocalypse. Zach's feelings will have to wait. All this family and relationship angst could be stricken from this show and it would be a lot better.

Turn out the lights, the party's over....

The best quiet show on TV. In fact, maybe it's the greatest quiet show ever on TV.
-
Yep, that made no sense. I thought he was going to bring the whole building down. And how would he know where the master would be and where the good guys would be.
-
Just like most major cities, they are good parts and bad parts, poor parts and rich parts and those in between. This isn't one of the better parts. I'm surprised that so many of you are surprised that there aren't walkers all over or the hospital isn't raging with them or other assorted excuses. We don't know how it started, how fast it spread, what was the answer of the authorities, how the citizens reacted, etc. Plus, we don't know how different cities reacted. I think some of that will be answered soon.
-
True, but they don't get to stab them in the head nor are they trying to eat them.

I had a hard time feeling for Minx because she's been such a brat and I just kept thinking you did this to yourself by listening to Drill all those many times. Plus, her attitude was much like one of those self involved teens we see so often. And it was obvious she wasn't Drill. It was ridiculous for them to let every other kid go that soon. Also, Claire getting through SS that easy was ridiculous, as was Minx's dad rescuing her. This is just an average show. They really just didn't do anything with the premise and it's been incredibly uneven.

Don't be. This fed off of WD. If WD hadn't been a success, this would have never happened. Plus, WD drew an average of 19 million fans per show last season. It was the number three rated show and number two rated scripted show. Football was second overall. Let's see if FWD can get those numbers.
-
Well, I guess the consensus is that this was at best an uneven ep and at worst, a boring one. I don't know why this show and others lately are going the dysfunctional family route. We have the about to be stepdad that the kids don't like. The dad's kid doesn't like him. The kids barely listen to their mom. The son is a drug addict and the daughter is the self-involved teen who doesn't care about her brother. Why couldn't we just have a functional family? I think that would be more interesting and more rootable. We know that probably we will get the cliché scenes of stepdad being accepted by his stepkids because of his brave defense of them against walkers. The Mom will garner the same from her kids defending them. The stepson and daughter will grow out of their self-involved fog as they face apocalyptic challenges. The son will want to be with his father. The sister will compliment her brother. None of this is new and I hope this show can avoid some of this. Also, I realize the characters can't know what's going on, but since we do, they could have at least made them smart. They seemed to make the wrong decision every time or acted clueless. Lastly, none of the main four characters look they are ready to survive the ZA. Rick and Shane were cops and Darrell could use a bow. These four look like early roadkill.

Grady hospital is in Atlanta, Ga. It's a real hospital.

Actually, remember in the beginning of WD, many turned slowly. Andrea sat with her sister all night and then she turned in the morning.
