  1. This is basically a soap opera with a disease back drop. And a bad one at that. Everyone is dumb, and hardly anyone acts like a normal person would and they basically overreact to everything. Plus, the exaggerated deterioration of society...children walking around after a couple of days like waifs in an Oliver Twist remake. Gangs taking over with no resistance from anyone, even the cops. People starving after a couple of days. When most of us go to the grocery store, it's too replenish, not to fill the cupboards. I bet I could get weeks of meals out of the just normal food I have. Is there a worse show on TV?
  2. That was really violent, especially the church scenes. I was surprised they got away with that much violence even on AMC. It almost turned my sister off for good, but the end redeemed it for her. I laughed a lot and while the gore was over the top, I still want to see where this goes. A lot doesn't make sense, but I'll wait for the payoff. I did think it was funny they gave subtitles to Eugene, but not to Cassidy, who is even harder to understand.
  3. Not so. Many voted to keep someone around who might be in trouble. Sanjaya for example.
  4. Otto, great post. You said most of the things I was going to say....but.... ..how come Jake didn't just shoot the bad guys when they got off the elevator. Why this elaborate plan of letting them congregrate in a room and shooting some explosive element. The thugs had axes and there were about 5 of them and he has a gun. Boom, boom, problem solved. What is with the blue suits? Some wear them, some don't. Some wear them sometimes. Some don't. And yes to another poster...why don't they or someone wipe the blood off their faces? It's done for dramatic effect, but no one would sit there with blood pooling on their face and not wipe it. This show is really bad and is only good for snarking. What a waste of beautiful Atlanta, GA. Glad Walking Dead did a better job.
  5. Through the first season and me and my sister both really like the show. The whole cast is really good and they keep me watching.
  6. Buffy would agree.
  7. Containment is really a bad show. Even FTWD is better.
  8. I have watched most of the Talking Dead from FTWD, but I just couldn't get through the last one. Talking about a boring ep. isn't my idea of fun. I think like many of you that Chris is doing his best to act excited about this show and it's getting a little uncomfortable watching him.
  9. I defended this show in S1 with the slow start as the S1 finale was reasonably good. But, this season has been downhill since the opening ep. And the S2 finale was plain awful. What are the writers thinking. That was sad. Strand and Salazar were the only two good characters and they turned them both into wusses this episode. None of the scenes made any sense and the character's actions were laughable. Most of you have detailed most of the nonsense, but my take on a couple of things... 1. Dad decided to hunt for son in the dark without shoes. Where is the son going to go? At what point in time with feet bleeding would one say I need to go back and get some shoes? 2. Maddie telling everyone to get their stuff together and let's make a quick getaway even though even Celia had already asked them to leave. She made it seem like they were being held captive. 3. Nick deciding he liked Celia, the walker cultist, more than his mom and family. Plus, he's like Lizzie playing with walkers. What a disappointing show. Easily the worst finale of the season. I hope they make them some changes next season. Perhaps, some new writers. This season wasn't much better than Under The Dome, which was only worth watching for snarkiness. I have a new name for the show.... Fear Season 3.
  10. What ever problems WD had were minimized by the great characters of Rick, Shane, Michonne, Daryl and even Merle. Plus, the writing and plots kept me coming back and were far superior to FTWD. The themes in FTWD are ridiculous and boring. The personal cost of survival and obligation to others is dealt with in WD much better. And lastly, other than Strand and Salazar, all the other characters are a waste. I noticed you called them series. Are you from England?
  11. I don't think you have. The show is losing viewers. Not surprising.
  12. Most of you accurately portrayed the dumb in this ep and show. I had to laugh at the Dr. Phil type counseling of man in abandoned building that went on way too long. We have a virus affecting thousands that has killed already and we're spending manpower and time on some mopey guy chained in a building. This show is now only for snarking and that's the way I will watch it. I can hardly "contain" myself.
  13. Well, they are showing real visuals of my beautiful home state city of Atlanta. That's where the good stops. This show is ridiculous, the characters are stupid and there is no one to root for. This was to be expected with the popularity of Walking Dead that there would numerous ripoffs that would by really bad. This might be the worst.
  14. This show is full of dumb characters, bad writing and boring plots and not only not close to WD, but is bordering on being unwatchable.
  15. I defended this show in S1. I thought it needed a chance to find its way and it was the beginning of the ZA, so people can't be expected to understand. But, this season is even worse. Way below the quality of WD. In fact, not even in the same universe. My sister wondered if this had been the first show, would it even have made it? I have my doubts. Strand and Salazar are the only characters that are even interesting. The others are different levels of uneven, boring, frustrating or downright stupid. This ep. was really bad and now I have doubts whether this show will even be above average.
  16. Rich was a great character, but the plot was silly with... ...the painting getting damaged. How did he know that would happen? And how did he know he would be able to get to the rooftop and do a perfect landing near the car? But, it was still an enjoyable ep.
  17. Yikes, this show is one of the most dumb on TV. Is there even one character to even remotely root for? All of them seem like they just opened the book of cliché TV writing and inserted them into a plague storyline. I'll continue watching just to see where they go, but I have a feeling this is going to be lame TV at its best.
  18. Wow, this show is full of stupid characters. Who are the writers? Kid trying to get in and help his pregnant girl? And do what? Pregnant girl wanting to help her mom against guys with guns?!??!? People trying to escape the quarantine with no regard for infecting others. I'm still watching, but maybe these people need to die to thin out the stupidity.
  19. I just found the show on one of those free weekends. I like it and my sister does too. We are still in the first season. I was able to tape through S2, Ep. 8. I hardly recognize MCH. Wow, and someone thought he could play a serial killer. It really shows what a great actor he is. And I loved Dexter. Didn't read many of the other posts in this thread. Don't want to be spoiled. I'll post more thoughts as I watch.
  20. Liked the virus stuff. But, too many of the characters were cliché... 1. Girl with relationship problem. 2. Pregnant girl. 3. Interracial couple. 4. Stupid teens. The anxiety girl, the teen runaways and the teacher with kids we could do without and added nothing to this story. The over rioting crowd was silly. The kids wandering away was too. The main cop getting all girly about being contained in the hospital was bizarre. Did he blame someone else for his predicament? You are a cop, man up. I'll give it another look. Walking Dead it isn't.
  21. Wow, I was really looking for Travis and Maddie to be better characters. Disappointed they joined those kids as idiots and just getting in the way and causing trouble and not really helping in any way. All the kids are just a waste. What a bunch of dysfunctional characters who shouldn't last the week. The druggie, the emotional cripple and the idiot girl. Oh my. Salazar is smart and reasonable interesting. Hey, he was trying to catch food. Strand is the star of the show. He may be not the nicest person in the regular world, but in the ZA, he's the man. Hope some of these characters grow a pair and quit acting stupid. I have my doubts.
  22. I think four would have been fine. That's how some shows did it. Four people live in the average household of America. If you had a favorite, vote four times and no one has an advantage over you. But, some schools set up phone banks to just multiple vote for the singers. Not cool. Can you imagine voting for President like that? Idol would never correct it because they wanted to promote the tens of millions of votes and they valued that over a more fair voting system. I checked out after Melinda lost. No reason to get invested in a singer only to be screwed by a faulty voting system.
  23. Yep, the one real low light of the night. I can't believe Idol let her do that. It didn't belong in this show. How inappropriate. In the first six seasons, only one did.
  24. Actually, it's not. It's based on number of votes which is very different. Multiple voting is what skewed so many results and turned so many off. And one of them was me. Too many people who could barely sing and too many bad finales with the wrong person making it. Blake over Melinda??! Yeah, I was out after that. I caught it after I read some more.
  25. Relegated??! Carrie got to sing her own song all by herself in the pimp spot. I thought it was perfect.
