Did anyone else enjoy Sutton dig that Christian isn’t selling houses?

That made me laugh out loud. Fabulous, Sutton! Also her comment that the one woman at Kyle's party was wearing the same dress that Erika wore in 2021. I was really hoping that Erika would wear hers to the party. And her comment about possibly being less picky because Dorit fell in love with PK was also priceless.

I didn't watch the show during Faye's run, but had to laugh at her sneering that Sutton was giving Kyle a hard time for quitting drinking and exercising a lot. As if Kyle has suddenly become a heath nut.  Sheesh Faye, you are at a pot party hosted by Kyle.

Someone upthread made the comment that Kyle may have stopped drinking because Morgan does not drink, which is quite possible. Makes me wonder though, does Morgan do any drugs, including weed?

Kyle truly was vile in her comments to Sutton. Like getting more child support if her son lives with her fulltime is a windfall? The increased child support is due to increased expenses of the kid being there fulltime. You aren't that stupid Kyle, but you are that ignorant.

Garcelle was also fabulous in this epi, from her comment about Dorit still having her jewelry, to clarifying that Sutton was asking about Kyle's marriage. The fact that Kyle is wearing a ring she bought herself on her wedding ring finger speaks volumes, even if Kyle didn't.

  2. I was surprised to hear in this epi that Mykelti has no relationship with Meri, and that is why she was not on the zoom call. Did we know that, and I just forgot? Any reason for their non relationship? Other than my feeling that Meri is of no use to Mykelti.

As has been pointed out, I love Kody's new story that he doesn't have a relationship with most of his kids because they won't accept Robyn. Even without Robyn, I doubt he would have a relationship with most as he didn't become a narcissist when Robyn entered the pic. He has always been one, and he has never had any use for a kid after they got his number. I remember a scene a year or two ago with Kody out at the property with Sol, who was giving Kody the side eye even then. Smart kid, that Sol.

It bugs me that Christine continually refers to herself and Janelle as sister wives. That is giving Kody a part in their relationship. Just drop the wife part and call yourself sisters. It is really what your relationship is, don't give Kody any license in your relationship any longer. Not to mention, Christine is no longer a wife and Janelle only is because she thinks God cares. He doesn't care, Janelle.

  3. I was hoping someone might have commented on The Mystery at Eagle Creek. I remember this case from several years ago so almost didn't watch. Wow, Nichols is even creepier than I remembered. Not to mention narcissistic, arrogant, etc. I almost laughed when his answer to one of Peter's questions was that anyone with a brain cell would know the answer to the question, then almost in the next breath said that Rhonda had committed suicide several times before. I loved Peter correcting him that he meant almost committed suicide several times before.

In any case I have no doubt that he killed Rhonda. Personally though, you would never get me on a trail like that. I don't think even if I wasn't afraid of heights, you would get me on a trail that narrow with nothing but a steep drop on one side and a rock face on the other.

I had forgotten about his sleeping with Rhonda's underage sister, don't think I knew about the pics sent to the 13 year old. Thank goodness the courts terminated his parental rights. He hinted at wanting to commit suicide. I can't imagine anyone would care. Anyone.

Thursday's episode, "The End of the Affair." At first I was convinced the wife was behind it since they weren't interviewing her, that's always a tell-tale sign. But I guess she just didn't want to be interviewed. Can hardly blame her.

And when it comes to blame, it's always a slippery slope to victim-blaming, but boy, Camilo Salazar was playing with fire, having an affair with a woman with such a dangerous husband.

Salazar was a POS. Not that he deserved to die, but geez. The guy had been married less than a year, had a three week old baby and was having an affair. So his daughter grows up without a father because said father couldn't be faithful to his basically newly wed wife. I wanted to smack his mother and sister who painted him as such a great, fun loving guy. And Dennis at the end who said to the sister "we need more guys like him in the world". No Dennis, we need way, way less.

And I must say, his mistress didn't seem overly upset at his demise. She seemed like a cold fish. All in all, the only people I had sympathy for were the wife and daughter. All in all the whole epi felt like a waste of my time.

  5. I was hoping that the producers were moving the storyline along, but nope. Christine's birthday is mid April, so we are going backwards once again since we saw Janelle's birthday which is early May an epi or two ago.

Does anyone know what the ratings are like? I assume if they are decent it is because there is no new programming for most of the shows one would watch due to the writers and then actor's strike.

In any case, Kody's THs are just a repeat week after week. Everything is someone else's fault. This week he laments that Janelle doesn't want him at her new apartment. He really can't stand any woman making the decision that she doesn't want him. All while he makes it clear that Robyn is his one and only. OMG!

As amusing as it is watching Robyn and Kody complain non stop in their THs, they need to be cut loose. They add nothing to the show. I don't know if Janelle, Christine and kids can carry it (Meri is really a non entity) but the producers need to find out. And move it along. Sheesh.

I never watch this show but was knitting a sock I wanted to finish. Never surprised that somehow the Seventh Day Adventist church factors in…..I’m not a hater just they seem to attract end times crazies. Plus weird that the pastor knew Holly was from Florida but didn't do anything to try and find her family.

Her parents did appear to sign her over to be adopted, so I don't know that there would be any reason for him to go to Florida at that time. This was back in the early 80s where it was very hard to get info, as opposed to now. He did take Holly there when she was a teenager, but they found that her records were sealed until she turned 18. By that time I think she was getting married and ready to start her own family.

What I was surprised to see was how young Tina was when she had Holly, only 16. Her dad was 20, also quite young but the 16 really threw me. They didn't really say on the show, just that she met Dean, and they hit it off and the next thing the family knew, they got married. Tina was barely 17 when she gave Holly up. This info was only gleaned from their grave markers, I don't think their actual ages were given on the show. My guess would be that Tina and Dean came to their senses and realized they had been duped to give up Holly, and were going to go to the authorities which got them killed.

  7. Didn't Dorito say (can't remember if it was in the TH or the segment) that Pretty Woman is her fav movie? I did find it funny that she talked about the grand gestures that they do for each other, but I think the ones that they showed in the flashback were all ones PK did for Dorito?

I did find it cringey though that it was just the two of them. I guess that was the point of mirroring the movie, but having the cameras along for the ride was hardly romantic. Guess they were trying to dispel the trouble in paradise rumours, but the whole thing was just smarmy. And the significance of the singers and what they were singing went right over my head.

I do agree with others that the $10,000 didn't come from a bank. If it even happened. Who said three guys were following her? The store? Did she file a police report? The whole story is as sketchy as the first robbery.

I don't find Garcelle's son wanting to live with his dad odd at all. Even sons without mother's on TV often want to live with their fathers at that age. I'm surprised that the other son doesn't want to as well, but he may realize that it would destroy Garcelle to have both sons move out.

I loathe Sai, but have to say I've read that rumor about her and other stories that conclude the numbers don't add up to confirm it, namely the birth of their first child.

The post I saw doesn't seem to be there, but I googled and found some interesting info. I came across a Vlog that Sai posted three years ago called "husband and wife life after marriage". Sai talks about their courthouse marriage, and that Rio had recently been born. He was born in Apr 2017. When the question was asked how they knew (interviewing both her and David) the other was the one Sai answered "I got pregnant".

Sai has claimed they married in 2009, but actually married in 2017 (another site has the marriage license). London was born in 2012, and according to the vlog the reason they got married. So why say in one breath that you married in 2009, and in a vlog that you married in 2017?  I know when I got married, and have never had a reason to tell differing stories about when that was. That may be the reason there are rumors, because she has told different stories at different times?

  9. I just don't buy that Ubah doesn't get the nuances of the English language because it is her second language. Ubah moved to Vancouver, B.C.  when she was 15, her mother and three sisters were already living there. She has had a career as a model since she was 17, and has traveled all over for it presumably. She is now 40 years old. A quarter of a century is plenty of time for anyone to pick up the nuances of the English language, and certainly someone who has travelled extensively. I think she fakes it for attention.

Like some others here, I think Sai and Erin are jealous of Jessel in that her husband clearly is willing to go through a tough time and stick it out. I read on Sai's thread about how she and her hubby got together, and lets just say the phrase "How you get them is how you lose them" comes to mind.

I agree totally. Ubah is a physical danger to the rest of the cast. She attacked Erin with cameras rolling. And then at this reunion she bragged about beating up every one of het past boyfriends . If this cast gets a second season she does not deserve to be in it because of her propensity for physical violence.

I actually thought that when Andy reached into the brown box sitting on the table beside him, it either held a panic button or was a signal to call security to haul Ubah off the set. It was likely just a box holding kleenex I realized when that did not happen, but OMG. If she routinely assaults boyfriends, what is to stop her from attacking a cast member, not just ripping glasses off the face of one.

Andy actually looked relieved when the reunion was over. I don't think it was because he thought it went well, I think it is because he knew what a shit show it was. It is very obvious that these women do not like each other, and that at least one is very volatile. It is not fun to watch, as much as Andy may declare the reboot to be successful.

The only positive thing to come out of the whole season was Jessel realizing that she doesn't always treat Pavit well. He's the only house husband I liked, and grew to like him more each episode.

  11. I knew in the first few minutes it was the friend, and guessed the reason pretty much right away too. The best friend's fake cry at the crime scene with his hands over his face was a giveaway to me. The other giveaway is that in the first few minutes Dateline interviewed other "best friends", but not the "best friend" that found him, or his wife who is close enough that her daughter called Brad uncle. SInce they found him they normally would have been interviewed by Dateline.  Unless of course one of them is the murderer.

We had a discussion recently on here about people's homes, and Brad certainly had an interesting decorating choice. Even without the place being tossed, I don't think there was much wall space, floor space or furniture that wasn't covered with..... something.

I don't believe that David went over to say he was ending it. I think that Brad threatened to tell David's wife because he wanted David to leave his family, and that is why he was killed.

I do give a side eye to his friends talking about the great guy he was, and really rolled my eyes at the friend that insisted that Brad would love the attention of Dateline. Though David was the married one and betraying his family, Brad was the guy who was considered family by David's wife and kid(s?), and he betrayed them just as much as David did IMO.

All in all a boring epi for me as I guessed the killer and motive within a few minutes.

  12. The only thing I really learned in the opening epi is that in between taping and the talking heads, Kyle had her lips plumped up.

Did they say what Erika said about Dorito's marriage that upset her? If they did I missed it. I don't remember hearing the rumor that PK had a woman in the car with him when he got the DUI.

I know this will be an UO, but I miss Rinna.

  13. I started watching the 65 Seconds epi but only got a few minutes in before I decided that I needed to go to bed. I was struck by how casually the reporter was dressed. She looked like she was out for a walk/jog and just happened to go by that house and stopped to randomly ask questions. I still haven't watched the epi but did fast forward to see if the reporter's choice of clothing improved. I was surprised at how many different outfits she wore, 10 or so I think. Non impressed me, though only one other top looked like it belonged in a track suit outfit. I have actually always liked Andrea's style and jewelry (though it isn't a style I would wear), but haven't really noticed how many wardrobe changes she makes over the course of a two hour show. One for each interview which appeared to be the case in this episode? Now I'll have to pay attention the next episode she is on.

This did lead me though to reflect on the fact that I never notice what the men wear, or how often they might change, so in the interest of fairness I am going to have to start paying attention!

Regarding the comments above on the drab house where the two teachers lived in The Footprint at the Lake, I also have found that where/how someone lives usually has little bearing on their income. Some people prefer to spend their money on other things and don't take a lot of pride in their surroundings. I will never forget the case of a woman on one of these shows who was a successful business woman, dressed to the nines, beautifully made up, shiny hair...and she was a hoarder.  Such a disconnect between how she presented herself to the world, and her home life. Personally, my house is pretty neat and tidy. In fact I am such a fan of true crime that I have actually thought when leaving my house "If my house was on Dateline, would I be happy with how it looks?" Surely I'm not the only one? Lol.

  14. So glad the show is back, as well as the recaps and postings here!

I just had to comment on a couple of the pitches from tonight's show. First of all the epoxy garage floors. They have been around for years. I am surprised that at least one of the Dragons doesn't already have a floor like this in their garage(s). We know several people who do, and my hubby who is a now retired general contractor said that two of his employees did one years ago for someone's garage, without any special training. These floors are neither special or new.

The lubricated tampons really had me stumped. I can't imagine anyone carrying around the lubricant in the container. And I have heard this type of pitch before about a 13 year old girl using a tampon for the first time. I got my period at 12, and didn't use a tampon for at least a couple of years. It wasn't a big deal. And honestly, if you want to lubricate it, just use a lube already on the market. But in reality, if your flow is enough that you want to use a tampon, you don't need a lubricant. Seemed like a solution in search of a problem, and I was shocked that Arlene was so taken with it, and them!

  15. It is so hard ( I mean harder than usual) to get invested in all of this drama over Christmas, when it is Christmas of 2021, FFS. I can't remember, but has this show always been a year and a half behind current time, or is that partially due to Covid? Even the scenes of Christine celebrating her ex anniversary and Janelle's birthday? Janelle has had another birthday since then and Christine another ex anniversary. I really think the show needs to jump ahead a year, because not only is this like watching paint dry, it is old paint in a dull colour that needs to be repainted ASAP.

  16. As was mentioned above, the interrogation by the police was cringe worthy. When the one cop shouted at Matheau that he knew that he killed Emily and that it was an accident, I was actually embarrassed for the cop and how bad he was at his job. Its like he was thinking "If I tell Matt that I think it was an accident, I am sure he will be relieved that I don't think it was intentional, and confess". It was like watching a scene from a Coen Brothers dark comedy.

So was the "takedown" of Matheau when they arrested him. I actually loved it when Matheau said in his interview with Dennis that all they had to do was ask him to come in. I don't know that that is true, but it definitely made the cops look ridiculous.

They really were gunning for their 15 minutes of fame, and instead got 15 minutes or more of ridicule. Prosecutors as well.

  17. I thought The Clearing was a fascinating case. I don't know if her husband killed Emily, but I do know I could not have convicted him had I been on that jury. And that his attorney was one of the most impressive I have ever seen on one of these true crime shows.

I totally agreed with his attorney when she said that the prosecution was just throwing things at the wall to see what would stick. The two cheques that were written for $5,000 each? One was dated May 5, 2020, weeks before Emily went missing. Also their whole closing argument that Moore followed Emily to the woods between 8:45 and 9:30 I think it was in the evening and killed her? It would be getting dark then, that makes no sense. And what then were the $5,000 payments for then?

Also the friends asserting that she would never have committed suicide? I think it is as often as not that friends and family are shocked when someone commits suicide, so that held no water with me.

I can say though that it has been a long time since I have seen such a great defense attorney, and such pathetic prosecution attorneys.

But we saw all those relationships implode in real time, over several seasons in some cases. Tamra and Simon, in particular, was very raw and hard to watch — and for some people, probably all too relatable.

Jenn’s came from Tamra’s deciding to make an issue of it. Whenever they would fight over Jenn’s marriage, Ryan’s dick pics, etc., I’d always ask myself, why do they think I care? It was a sloppy attempt to gin up season drama, IMO.

Eh, I have no problem with it. If Ryan is going to be on my screen every week I would rather know the real Ryan, rather than the one Jenn has tried to sell to us, and herself. She can delude herself all she wants, but if Dick is on my screen I prefer to know the real one.

It doesn’t. That’s the biggest reason why I lost interest quick in this season. Jenn’s situation was affecting NOBODY in that group, yet it became everybody’s business — even that of people she didn’t know.

As the saying goes, they all need to muck out their own stables (paging Heather Dubrow) before going after other people.

Isn't that the point of going on a REALITY TV show? To show the reality of your life? And it isn't like Ryan is a shrinking violet, not wanting to be in the limelight. The dick pic taker is likely the thirstiest hohusband I can think of, at least in recent times.

I'd be hard pressed to think of a howife who's relationship(s)  hasn't played out on, well, reality TV. Especially the messy parts. Just off the top of my head in this franchise alone: Shannon/David/;  Tamra/Simon; Vicki/Donn/Cancer Scammer; Emily/Shane (especially when Shane was mocked endlessly for not passing the bar); Gina/Matt. It would be much harder to find a howife who's personal life wasn't everyone's business. In any franchise.

Not to mention her ridiculous bullshit about her kids going on the internet soon and seeing their names and CPS. She is not worried at all that they’ll also find out mommy got arrested for drunk driving and almost went to jail for skipping court, oh and daddy got arrested for beating mommy…but she let him off. Not worried about that info falling into their laps at all. Great role model that Gina is. Remember young girls, if he’s able to keep his job so you can keep the support flowing, just dismiss the charges for those first time beatdowns, it’ll be worth it in the end. And now does Ms I Support Women of Domestic Violence sit quiet thru all that? Cuz she’s full of shit like the rest of them. Gina and Shannon are one and the same now and I don’t think either one of them can stand it.

Based on some of his looks this season, I think it’s already gotten to him and he’s playing it up for the cameras.

I almost laughed when Gina spouted off that her kids could soon be on social media. Her oldest is 11, so I would imagine is already on SM. Who knows, maybe even the 9 and 8 year old kids too. Not to mention Travis's three who live with them half the time. And the kids' friends. Sheesh.

I find it hilarious that she is worried about her kids now, when she chose to put them on TV when they were 6, 4, and 3 years old. And they have been on ever since. And she facilitated Matt being away from his kids more often than not back when she first came on by letting him swan in and out of their lives whenever he wanted. While he kept his love nest in another city, which of course Gina was not allowed to visit. Cry me a f**king river, Gina. You alone have provided your kids with much to read on SM.

  21. How I feel about Heather Dubrow can be summed up in one word. Oklahoma. I have never bought Heather's innocent act, and her snarky text to Taylor just shows once again that she is a mean, petty woman.

I did not watch the BH franchise when Taylor was on it, so had no idea how much charity work she does. Maybe Heather would be a happier person if she stopped focusing on herself and spent some time helping the less fortunate. But that isn't what narcissists do. And there was Gina, kissing Heather's ass as always. What a waste of space. she is. I hope Gina doesn't return, and Taylor gets her orange.

Wow, Jenn looked awful. I had no problem with Tamra (and Emily) bringing up Jenn's lies and inconsistencies, all in the name of defending the POS she calls her boyfriend. I did love Andy's snarky comment on Ryan's demin jackets - lol.

I wish Heather's producer from 20 years ago had granted her wish to get her off the f***king show. But alas, that ship sailed in the 1900s.

I don’t know why I think this lol.

Ya, I thought that conversation was very immature. It made me wonder how Abe would feel if, say, he was going through some serious medical issue that caused him to be impotent. Would he be fine with Erin getting some on the side?  Not likely. Or would Sai's hubby be fine with her leaving? They both sounded like very immature couples, not couples with children and life experiences that make you realize that you are there for better....or worse.

  23. This episode would have been much more entertaining had Christine and Janelle, and Meri and Robyn had their meetings at the restaurant, at the same time, at different tables.

So Robyn says she is depressed that her plural lifestyle has become monogamous. Kody (according to the previews) thinks he has the perfect relationship with Robyn. And that the only reason that he hasn't left his other three wives is that Robyn would lose respect for him. Interesting that religion plays no part in the reason he hasn't left any of them. But not surprising.

Meanwhile, Janelle wants a sign from God to know that leaving Kody is the right thing to do, and that He would be alright with it.  God has been giving you signs for a long time Janelle, in the form of Kody. You just have been ignoring them.

I can't imagine this show being renewed for another year, unless they drop Kody and Robyn and follow the lives of the three Kody - free wives.

  24. So seven minutes in, and Heather tells Terry that she never called anyone a loser, that it is not one of her words. Yet last week she admitted to calling Noella a loser. In fact I think she admitted it more than once. Sorry Heather, I am not a Tamra fan but I think you lie just as much as Tamra. Pot. Kettle. Black.

Honestly, I don't know if I can take another season of Jenn. I have no patience with women who have a gaggle of children, but are clueless about their own finances. Maybe when your marriage was dying as you claim,  you should have spent some time figuring your finances out, rather than pursuing Dick. And why does Jenn not have $5,000? Isn't she being paid for being on this show? I am beginning to wonder how Will managed to stay as long as he did. At this point I'd take Heather for another season over Jenn. But I am hoping for neither.
