  1. I rewatched the show this morning and caught this information. Phaedra told the story that she wanted her good friends Porsha and Shamea to know instead of the real issue between her and the Tuckers. I still think Don Juan should have stayed out of it, but I understand his point. Phaedra needed to get the story right if she was going to play the victim for Porsha and Shamea. Phaedra has known something is due on the balance and she could have handled that long before now. Yes, Todd should have sent a final invoice via certified mail, but Phaedra needed to pay the bill. I recall Phaedra talking about a pregnancy video, but I don't remember her actually doing it. We need some clarity on what work Todd actually did for Phaedra and Apollo and what he charged them to do it. Phaedra confirmed that a balance is due so I don't think there is a dispute about the work being done. Todd brings receipts with him next week according to the previews so we will get more information then. So Tammy is gone for good? I am so curious about her backstory.
  2. He wouldn't get it. He would probably pay more attention to their (Ayden and Dylan) clothes and how their hair is cut. Porsha has a lot in comment with Trump. Amen to this. The Cosby Show has been ruined by Bill Cosby's gross behavior. I cannot handle anymore disappointment.
  3. I enjoyed this episode. I am not sure why Don Juan felt the need to get into other people's business. He was doing such a good job taking care of Kandi then he decided to dip into a conversation that was none of his business. It seems that Porsha will be heading into this territory next week. I am glad that Kim stopped dressing like Mrs. Roper, but I did not like her dominatrix outfit You would think she would have someone style her for this show considering the exposure that it gives her. Maybe she should hang with Marlo for awhile. So Peter has never been to the park? I guess if you only go out at night then that makes sense. I agree with Porsha about Kandi's, um Demetria's song. I thought that was Kandi's song/video. I hope this means that we are going to get more Demetria and less of the other two FOHWs. Kenya's date was cute. Todd should have had his business manager, accountant or lawyer send Phaedra a letter instead of asking Kandi to talk to Phaedra. He has really handled this matter poorly.
  4. Knowing this tempered my annoyance with Phaedra over her BLM comments. I decided to be pissed at Andy instead as well as whomever thought adding social commentary to this show was a good idea. This show is not serious so bringing serious matters to the show's subject matter diminishes the serious matters. Apollo's incarceration was a serious matter, but it was treated as a campy, silly matter. BLM should be nowhere near this show.
  5. I agree. I wonder if it occurred to dumbass Phaedra that her logic could apply to both Brown and Bland. I wonder if she is ever concerned about the state of black girls and how the term THOT is used frivolously on her show?
  6. I am the pearl clutcher in my circle as well. Kim was a little over the top with all the caterwauling and what not, but I think she is over playing her role as the housewife that needs to find her own identity (big roll of the eyes here). It would have been better played if she had just told the girls that she was tired and went to her room. We could have watched her face time with her husband, snarking on the other women. Yep, I think she is just playing her part. Kenya is just not smooth at all. I am always in need of a good wing man/woman, but even I know that it would have been better to just slide my hand on the man's shoulder, lean in to his ear and ask my question. Seriously Kenya, SMDH. Of course, she is playing this campy so it makes sense to me. Its just getting old and one note. If she were a better actress, she would be killing her assignments. Gee whiz, can we give her a season before we vote her off the island.... No doubt. When they said NBA player, I suspect Sheree's spidey senses started tingling.
  7. Porsha wins by default because she wasn't the person that wanted out of that relationship. If Kordell was willing to work on the marriage, she would still be there. She said as much in her talking heads last night. Cynthia has not shut the door, I think, because she does not want to face the "I told you sos." Its hard, but sometimes families should be quiet because they prolong the inevitable when they try to tell grown folks what to do.
  8. I caught this the first time around and I rewatched it again to confirm that I did hear what I thought I heard. Porsha did the same thing when she threw age and baby shade at Kenya when they first met. She tries to be cutesy and playful with it, but its shade all the same. Cynthia got way to excited about it, but I appreciate that she removed herself from the situation. Its ironic that Porsha got a pass for assaulting Kenya because Porsha was raw and going through so much with Kordell, but Cynthia gets no grace for going through the same type of difficulties and she did not assault anyone. I cannot wait to hear how Porsha will explain this when someone asks her about it.
  9. Well, she is always about cross promoting her brand....... She needs to heed Cynthia's advise on the restaurant business. That seems like a money pit for folks who don't have the experience running that type of business. Phaedra gives me whiplash. In one scene, she is playing her THOT role with Porsha. In the next scene, she has her prayer cloth on her thighs (figuratively) and agreeing with Kim that there are too many boobs on display. I am side eyeing Kim a bit over her "I lost myself" bit. I did not believe Kim for a second in that fake cry she squeezed out.
  10. Cynthia took the exchange wrong, but Porsha should have stayed away from her. Sheree's advice was on point and Porsha should have listened. Cynthia did ask Porsha to go over there (away from her) multiple times. I loved Sheree's outfit; I think she was best dressed. LOL, Kim brought a book with her - I would have done the same thing.
  11. She thought she was being clever, but the joke was on her. She drank from an unsealed bottle that may have been filled with water from the toilet. Yes, but you would think he would work a little harder at pretending to be a better husband. Sometimes, they don't have water in the bottles at all. I thought the event would have been nice if the air conditioned had worked. Kenya's hair was not styled for selling her product, however. She should have gone with the silky waves, not the bone straight blowout. The event planner should have known that if you are having events during the summer in the South, you need to make sure the AC is set to freezer because a) a large crowd is going to make the temperature rise; b) curling irons, straight irons, blow dryers and what not will make the temperature rise; and c) you just know there will be people who will wear head to toe leather to an event and no one wants to smell wet leather as they mingle through the party. Yet. I suspect we will see Joyce, Karmon, Not Karmon (Kandi's friend that likes Joyce and hates Karmon), and Cousin Winnie planning a baby shower for Kandi. This cannot be said enough, especially those of us who went natural thinking that our hair would look like Tracee Ellis Ross' hair........ Owns a piece? Peter has to be using Cynthia's credit/money to open up these places. I cannot see any bank extending him a line of credit. People that work at lending institutions watch TV like the rest of us.
  12. No oatmeal, yogurt, donuts, or muffins for these people. They have the ability to make weekend breakfasts daily -- but y'all know that it does not stop with breakfast, right. I suspect they have big lunches and snack time too. Cooks, thanks for the info on Kenya's hair care line.
  13. I have been waiting for her to debut her hair care products. I also surprising that she has not licensed a clothing line yet. I was watching Lisa Vanderpump on QVC a few weeks ago selling cheap looking fux fur blankets, teddy bears, and table displays. If Lisa can sell that crap, I don't understand why Kenya is not selling hair care, bikinis, dresses, ponchos, stilettos....... Cosign. They don't typically go bankrupt and their bodies aren't as messed up when their careers are over.
  14. I think this may be why I just don't believe the Eve/Annalise pairing. Annalise has had more chemistry with Frank, Bonnie and Wes than she does with Eve. But did Nate login as himself or did he sit down at a random desk and use someone else's ID?
  15. The person on the other end seemed to be the one pulling her strings to get Annalise. I wonder if its Eve? Eve may be running a long con on Annalise too. LOL, I had the same look on my face - that was excellent acting by Ms. Diva.
  16. Oh no. She needs to get help so she can self Finance her own life and not steal other people's hard earned money.
  17. As my Dad would say, those streets, i.e., the partying lifestyle will age you. You just know Peter has been wilding out in Charlotte trying to keep up with Kordell. I wonder who he thinks is going to pay for that apartment in Charlotte that he would like to rent. If I were Cynthia, I would have his packed bags sitting next to the driveway waiting for him.
  18. But she looks 1000% better than last season. Her hair and make-up were on point; I just don't understand why she wore a bathing suit to her launch party. Nonetheless, she looked great. Its such a toss up really. I don't know which direction to go. I guess I will go with Kenya since she has the capital to complete her project. I like the tree house concept, but I am concerned about the flooding. Rita, Ike, and Allison were no jokes here so I take living in a ditch seriously. Kenya needs to rethink that driveway. After the show last night, I was waiting like a Black Friday early riser for you to open up the thread.
  19. I sensed her mental illness as well. I sincerely hope her family does not stop trying to reach her. Neurochick, I agree with everything you have said. Its tough being a black person that is good at things only white people are supposed to be good at. You get hated by everybody and that is a difficult place to be. I suspect that Debi is ashamed that she has disappointed her family so its easier for her to hide out in Appalachia and be abused by a loser than to face them. I don't think she handled Debi or Debi's boyfriend well at all. They were not equipped to make the choices that she was asking them to make. If she is going to give advice to mentally ill people and addicts, then she needs to go get trained and licensed.
  20. Actually, I thought they were going to throw suspicion on the nurse since she started spouting a right to die philosophy. Her outburst made her a perfect patsy. The DA's death may have been an accident. She may have just fallen from one of the balconies.
  21. Yeah, I was torn too. It was a great scene, but her outrage and hostility did not make sense. I hope Oliver is okay too. I want to tell Shonda that its okay to have a relatively boring character on this show with so many morally corrupt characters on screen. I don't think Eve and Annalise have any chemistry either. Annalise had better chemistry with the Elizabeth Perkins character from last season. I think it ages her.
  22. I think Tony is good-looking, but he tends to play douchey, morally questionable characters and I think it affects the way he looks to me.
  23. This. I don't know any of these people. I don't know Shannon, but she presents herself as someone who plays the victim and wallows in self pity and self righteousness. I think she instigated the confrontation and if the mistress cussed her out, then Shannon got what she wanted. She setup her opportunity to play victim in my opinion. Shannon had a commitment with David and it seems all anger and annoyance should be directed at him. If she is passed it, then she needs to be passed it. If she is not passed it, then she needs to be honest for the sake of her girls. She is influencing their life templates and she needs to work harder at being better in my opinion. She does not owe the mistress and her family anything; she owes her own family everything. I would be embarrassed to find stories about my mother in social media acting like an asshat. Heck, she did not even win the confrontation. She came off looking like a goof. People make mistakes; I hate David and Shannon for putting this mess on TV. This a private family matter that should be handled privately. I don't watch their scenes involving their marriage counseling. Its too real and raw. I don't want my reality TV this real. As far as the mistress is concerned, Shannon needs to learn how to let her side eye communicate on her behalf. The assholes of the world are not going anywhere so you need to know how to not let them see you sweat. If you don't have the gift of the snappy come back and you don't have the stature to physically intimidate someone, then you need to develop another mechanism to convey your message without looking like you are an out of control idiot. The side eye is an appropriate solution. It conveys the message without saying a word. It gives people the impression that you are tougher than you really are without leaving your position. Its also classy in the sense that it does not involve any other folks that may be in the room, eliminating them from getting caught up in your drama.
  24. Eh, Bonnie does not seem like she could make good cobbler. She caves too easily under pressure to be proficient at scratch cooking.;-) I believe Annalise slaved over that cobbler. This is hard for me to believe as well. I hope this does not bode negatively for Ollie - I liked him from day one and I think this show needs at least one redeeming character.
