I should have guessed. Anybody else up for "Weasel Stomping Day"?
-
I think somebody in Part Two referenced them being in the Stone Age, so maybe the other Legends dropped off the guest stars before departing. If I recall correctly, that would be Ray, Nate, Zari and Amaya. And Gideon. Man, I feel so bad for the ladies there, to be stuck with the two biggest geeks in time and space.

S01.E01: Champs vs Stars: Tow Big, or Tow Home

But you have to worry about boys wearing wigs made of his hair turning into knuckle-dragging assholes. -
Oh. My. Grife. I did not think of that! Then I remembered that Supergirl appears to have dibs on the future teens . . . but this was a Supergirl episode.

What did "Weird Al" put in place of "I'll take all you sons of bitches when I go"? Typical episode of Early running amok. Might have been funnier with the old preacher, but his VA died. BTW, what the heck was he supposed to be? As least Dan Halen kinda looks like a mutant troll doll. Note to self: "Early" with an "Y."

Odds are she's a child of theirs. She might be a descendant. I'm willing to offer that she's an embodiment of the Speed Force, proving that it doesn't show up just to make Barry's life miserable. With Barry, who can keep track? I kinda forgot about Singh getting hitched. He was the only other gay male character I could think of from the four shows besides Curtis.
-
I forgot about Tommy's speech. He brought up his parents. Anybody else figure that the Malcolm Merlyn of Earth-X is as big a shitweasel as the one we've gotten to know? I bet he's got the pointy beard and widow's peak.

Great start. Kinda wished that we could've gotten more from Supergirl beyond Kara and Alex, but it was better than last year. "Hey, let's bill this crossover as a four-parter, give Supergirl a standard episode, and then have Barry and Cisco pop in at the last minute. It still counts!!!" Cut line from Captain Singh: "Barry Allen is the Flash. Please don't tell me I was the last one to find out. For God's sake, Mick Rory is sharing a bench with me, and I just realized it." Lots of fun, even with the Olicity angst. And Jax and Martin preparing for separation. And Saralex. I won't lie . . . I saw a picture of those two last week, and I was hoping for some interaction between them. I just didn't want this much this soon. I totally get the criticism . . . I mean, if the bisexual lady and the lesbian have "sexy times," shouldn't Curtis and Singh have their own encounter? They're both gay! But the reason I wanted Saralex was because they have a lot in common. Alex watches over Kara, Sara is in charge of time-traveling misfits. Alex can kick ass, Sara kicks ass and is kickass. Alex is still recovering from her breakup with Maggie, Sara probably doesn't go beyond kissing and flirting, and nobody on the Waverider appeals to her to that extent. I'm okay with Saralex, even if we wound up with Alex mortified over her first one-night-stand. Melissa Benoist has a purdy voice. Totally worth not playing "Here Comes The Bride" on an organ.

This is the Arrow portion of the crossover, so that means angsting. So. Much. Angsting. And then Nazi Kara and Nazi Oliver attack. And they're helped by Harrison Wells. Actually, it's Eobard Thrawne from Earth-1, who killed Wells, took his place, and guided Barry in his first season before trying to murder him. Basically, he's Damien Dark* . . . a turd that is really hard to flush. Hi, Team Arrow! Bye, Team Arrow. Is just having Oliver and Felicity on their show any worse than last year's crossover getting shoehorned into the 100th episode? Great fight scenes. Exactly HTF does Oliver have a Kryptonite arrow?!? Also, how can Harry be certain there are 53 Karas in the multiverse? I kinda like "Earth-1" to not be complicated by the bigger names from DC Comics. I think it was for the best that Supergirl happens in another continuity, even if we're denied Cisco and Winn geeking out together.Or J'onn trying to be professional around heroes that are prone to screw up so much. Also, if we had a single universe, Cat Grant would have shown up and booted all the Nazis back to Earth-X. Mick is awesome, though I want to somebody to shout, "Could you work out your repressed feelings with your old partner any other time?!?" *It's spelled "Darhk," but I leave out the "h" because he probably added it to be extra pretentious.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - General Discussion

From WatchMojo: Top 10 Most Absurd Anime Hairstyles. Jotaro is at 9; if you look closely, you'll notice there's no place where his stylish hat ends and his hair begins. Freaky as fuck, right? -
All quiet on OKC. I've pitched a little woo lately, and all I've gotten is a single "I don't think it would work out" message. I also sent messages to the two people that wrote to me recently, but they haven't answered back. I'm not that frustrated, but lack of attention does annoying me a little bit. Bear in mind, there's a lot bigger crap that I have to worry about, both with myself and the world at large.

Perhaps there should be a place in the Hall for assholes. Maybe in a separate area, with the front part of the plaque facing the wall. I mean, Curt Schilling has the numbers for entry, right? I wouldn't retroactively put present members in such a place. I mean, a lot of legends were pricks.

Poking through the show's Tumblr. I think there will be an hour-long block of new episodes on December 17.

"Okay, listen up. I just found a little information about the penultimate episode. That means 'next-to-last.' Please do not use it to trigger anybody who isn't a fan of the series. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to figure out a way to 'fix' Heidi. Mr. Mackey suggested throwing her under the bus, but that didn't work for Eric." PS: I can't really channel PCP. I mean, I could do a reasonable version of him voice, but I'm unable to do it through typing. ETA: Press release has been . . . well . . . released. Any guesses on the latter? I don't think Kyle will go through a "You're Getting Older" phase, but I can never predict where the series goes.

Like I've said on this thread: the male winners tend to stick in my head more than the women. That probably makes me susceptible to Burnett and/or Probst's hype, even though I'm very cynical about them both. Thinking about it: does Tom Westman deserve credit for the producers thinking about hiding idols? Or was it because of the overall success of the Koror tribe?

I don't think Johnny is racist, but he does need a good beating, and I hope it's recorded. But his is a charmed life. Remember when Camila was melting down for the billionth time and Johnny threw a pillow at the back of her head, and she didn't immediately suspect the most infamous pot-stirrer in the history of the show??? Yes, I had to use italics, because I fucking hate him that much. -
Caught the latest episode. Gon is a bit of a dork, but he is hardcore as all hell. Even in a place where severe injuries can be remedied, he let himself get maimed. And I'm thinking he used an aura thing (Nen? Ren?) to keep from bleeding out from where his hand used to be. Missing dialogue: "Guys? That little girl? She's a man." Long pause. "Whaaaaaaaaaa?" I know, more like really buff lady, but you can see Genthru's flunkies not know or caring about any difference.

I would be good with badass Thomas Wayne. Gal Gadot as a more amoral Wonder Woman who doesn't radiate compassion? Not so much. Identity of Green Lantern in flashback might have been identified. Of course, this one hails from Sector 2814.

Awesome. He also suggested that Mets fans root for the Yankees when their team is done for the season. I know, not as heinous as the tweets, and he never broke an infielder's leg under the guise of sliding, but Chipper still sucks for that. That, and for razing Shea every time he visited.

A few months ago, I went to a library-based show and saw an artist I hit up last year. She was selling prints, including one with the Big Four. So I wound up getting this sketch of Inumuta from her, since I had the other three. More of an impulse thing for me at the time. I don't think of the anime these days. I would be up for getting Satsuki and Momo. Dunno if I'd go for Ragyo. She's frightening, and I'd have to spring for color just for her hair.

Watching the repeat. Just so I'm clear, the "Last Fry" white dude rap wasn't in the original broadcast, was it?

He shouldn't have gotten near Watchmen. Way too epic for a movie, even if you had three hours to work with. I'd also throw in getting attacked by a serpent god sent by Alan Moore while you're on the toilet, but I think he's way past being pissed off at this point. How much was cut? Remember showing you the blind item figures I got? I wonder if the Vulko figures would sell for a little more because of his exclusion. "Do you bleed?" That was funny. Menacing from ZombieSuperman, but a sweet callback.

Once, I thought Adult Swim would dedicate the 4-4:30 weekday slot to an anime, but I don't think they would. I was thinking along the lines of "One Piece from the first episode," because the dub is from Funimation, and I reckon new viewers didn't love it right away when Toonami started from the Davy Back arc. I have Spectrum, and there are a few options for anime on demand, but I never get around to those. If you have Starz, they have good stuff . . . including Death Note, which I'd recommend to anybody, especially though who ddn't like the American version.
-
If there was an hour-long gap for Toonami in September, they could plug in both for a "Back To School" mini-block. I reckon Nichijou is off the table, since it's more "slice of life" than action-based. But then there are scenes like this, and you start getting a craving for the anime. ETA: Also this . . . but I don't know if an English dub could be as hysterical.

Grain of salt from me. If Chanel, Sterling, or either of the Pfaff brothers ("Drama" and "Big Cat") were cast and posters would go "WTF?" My heart would shrivel, because I reckon Rob Dyrdek and his various series are the best things MTV has put up in a long while. That's just me, though. Also, now I'm imagining Camila decking Chanel, and that would suck worse than the time Rob nailed her in the face with dodgeballs (by accident) twice. I'm really hoping CT doesn't backslide because of TO. I'm down for an Endgame Of The Initials, though. Everybody else can have popcorn.
