The dress, the tattoos, the giant bought and paid for ass and the hand cradling the belly. WTF is up with that pose? It always looks to me like they're trying to hold the baby in. I get wanting to have a pregnant pic or two of yourself with your hands somewhere on your belly. But, the trend of striking that pose for every.fucking.picture makes me want to go slap their hand out of the way.

I love The Ashley. You know his head exploded when he read Mr Jenelle Evans. I'm sure they both have alerts on their phones, so every time anything is posted about them online, they're reading it faster than we are. It's got to be exhausting, no wonder they're fucked up on Corona and weed 24/7😂😂 It sounds like the repo story is true. It warms my heart to know Thundercunt is scrambling around and begging Barb to get her $60k SUV out of hock so she can post a pic to show all the hatters it was a lie to make her look bad. Utterly unbelievable that she's had millions of dollars flow through her hands and she had to finance her ride. At a high interest rate because her credit is in the toilet. I love it. All she has to show for it is a moldy prefab sinking into a swamp and 2000 dollar store eyebrow kits. Someone on twitter also pointed out that neither one of them has worn their wedding rings in quite a while. Wonder how much the pawn shop gave them?

Oh, hell! Can you imagine what awful shit UBT would have spewed at Kaiser if he wore eye makeup and lipstick? He already called him a whiny, little bitch, just like his dad because he was afraid to get into a boat. He would have let loose with all sorts of homophobic crap.

Not always. Some prenups have a payout schedule that doesn't include community property acquired while married. Common in marriages of a much younger woman/man marrying someone older and rich. If the spouse stays for X number of years, they agree to accept a certain amount if they were to divorce. Often, the longer the marriage lasts, the higher the payout in a divorce. A longtime friend of my dad's married a much younger woman after he was widowed. This was in the 80's and he was pretty well off. He had his attorney write a prenup structured in a way that for every 5 years they were married, her payout would increase by $50k. If she left him before 5 years of marriage, she agreed to accept $10k and nothing more. Surprisingly, the marriage lasted until he died and she inherited around $2 million of his estate. The rest went to charities he'd been supporting for years.

But, instead of her birther's crescent moon of a chin, she seems to have inherited the pronounced jaw of her sperm donor. When did it become routine for a 3 year old to 'have her makeup done'? Face painting, I get. Eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick, not so much. Wonder if her brows were covered in the crap with mystery gunk in it that's been sitting in the heat of the swamp? I can not imagine what those dollar store eyebrow kits look like after sitting in the heat and humidity of NC. Yuck!

Sounds like they have people there (notice I didn't say friends😂) getting hammered for the 4th. I bet the dog belongs to someone else. I hope UBT has another drunken misunderstanding, this time with fireworks and his beard. And, that Thundercunt is so drunk that she catches her hair on fire with a sparkler. Only on one side. So she has to cut about a foot off of the other side to even it up.

Linda was 21 when she met Dan, 28 when they got married.

Isn't it hilarious? UBT has gained a ton of weight too, so Jenelle is wearing his too small hand-me-downs😂😂

Fact vs. Fiction: The Podcast and the Real People

They were also getting $4500 a month per boy to care for them! The youngest had a really hard time and was sent to boarding schools because of his behavior issues. He eventually landed with one of Betty's brothers until he was of age. -

Thank you. I don't know why I was positive I read that they didn't charge her with Murder 1 because they didn't think they could convict. So, the jury did have the choice of Murder 1? I thought it was Murder 2 or Manslaughter. -

1st Degree was never an option. The DA chose not to charge her with it because they didn't believe they would be able to prove premeditation with Betty's testimony. The jury had Manslaughter and Murder 2 to agree on. The woman who was a hold out in the second trial was floored when she learned what the judge sentenced Betty to. She thought she was going a get a slap on the wrist couple of years, then be out. The judge did not buy Betty's story or lack of remorse and gave her the maximum he possibly could. It probably didn't help that she changed her story between trials, either. -
Kim, the oldest daughter has two daughters. I'm not sure how many total grandkids she has now.

Dan had been charged with more than one DUI. He'd go boozin' with his cronies at the bar after work and then drive home. In Stumbo's book, I remember reading something about Kim, the oldest daughter, having to go get him and sometimes him and Betty because they were too drunk to drive home. I can see the legal community thinking Linda was a bitch. It sounds like she flaunted her relationship with Dan around everyone in the office and they all resented her. She was an unskilled woman with no legal experience, yet she had her own big office and made a very tidy salary.
-
I'm not at all excusing her role in this story, but Linda was young and inexperienced in life in general. I can totally see her holding on to the china out of spite. Betty had repeatedly been breaking into what Linda called home. She broke in at Christmas one year and destroyed the gifts for Linda under the tree. After dealing with Betty's repeated break ins and vandalism, keeping her china was probably Linda's juvenile way of getting back at her a little. The woman from HALT wasn't a lawyer, she was the head of the local chapter and was a huge ally to Betty. She was one of the people Betty called after the murders and she helped her arrange a lawyer to go with her when she turned herself in. She really tried to help her all along the way. Of course, it fell on Betty's deaf ears.

Betty wanted the kids to give her a portion of the money they got from Dan's insurance policy and estate and she was pissed when they didn't. She was convinced she would be acquitted and wanted the kids to give her money when she was released. If Betty were to get out, her kids would be badgered constantly about the money they got and didn't share with her because it was HER money, dammit!! Along with having to hear her bitch 24/7 about what happened 30 years ago. The daughter who wants Betty to move in with her is the one Dan cut out of his will. I believe her older sister did share her portion with her. The boys were minors and had no control of the money they received from Dan's estate and life insurance until the were 18. There was some forensic accounting done and they found that Dan had given his brother an unsecured $450k 'loan'. He had to repay it and it went into the estate pot for the kids.

I'm sure a lot of his colleagues grew up in the country club set and he wanted them to think he did, too. He loved being a snob, he didn't want to remember the tough times.

I listened to a podcast where they talked with a woman who was a divorce lawyer in San Diego and also a friend of Dan's. She explained that Dan was a plaintiff's lawyer that dealt strictly in medical malpractice. He worked in a completely different area than a divorce attorney and wasn't familiar with most of them just because of the different areas of practice. He went against lawyers that represented hospitals, insurance companies, doctors, etc. Not local divorce lawyers. I think the link to the podcast is on the Fact vs Fiction page. Betty's first lawyer was from LA and he was really good. If she'd signed the papers to sell the Coral Reef house, he would have gotten his retainer and she would have had top notch representation. She was just too difficult for anyone to work with.

Watching the episode really drove home for me how Betty screwed herself at every turn. And, it wasn't like she had no one to talk to about it. Her women friends and the social circles they all were part of saw this kind of thing all the time. Husband finds younger woman, leaves wife and kids. It happened all the time. It's painful, it's hurtful, it's brutal. But, you do the best you can for yourself and your children. Which involves finding the best lawyer you can to get as much as he/she can for you and your kids. Instead, Betty dumped her kids with Dan and went on a 4 year tirade, then cried about how she'd been screwed when she screwed herself. All the while spending 16k a month on clothes, trips and expensive food instead of paying her bills.
-
Betty was acting like a lunatic, that was her doing. Not anyone else's. Dan was all for letting the boys go stay with her if she would act like the mother they knew instead of a foul mouthed vandal. She would not stop leaving filthy messages on the children's answering machine, she would not stop sneaking into Dan's house, she would not stop vandalizing Dan's property. They arranged the Easter visit, approved by the court. That was Betty's chance to be a mother to her boys and work towards having them live with her again. Instead, she left another barrage of filthy messages on the children's answering machine and the boys paid the price. Her children weren't important enough to her to stop.

Casey Anthony was exactly what I was thinking of. The DA in Betty's case knew she'd have a much better shot at a conviction by going for the lesser charge or Murder 2 or Manslaughter. They overcharged Casey Anthony and it backfired horribly. -
Exactly. Betty was the one that dragged it out for so long by pretending if she ignored all of the hearings, it would just go away. Dan wanted to get it over with. Betty's biggest mistake was to not listen to the attorneys she had. She had a couple great ones, too!

First degree has to show premeditation. The DA didn't think they would be able to convince a jury she premeditated the murders after her testimony, so they went with murder 2. Murder 1 was never an option for the jury. It was murder 2 or manslaughter. I posted a link to her parole hearing in 2011 in the Fact vs Fiction thread. She completely changes the story about the murders from what she testified to and she still takes no responsibility. She's had one more hearing in 2017 and said pretty much the same thing. Nothing was her fault, Dan and Linda made her do bad things. She's not eligible for another parole hearing until 2032. -
It was brought up in both books, but there was no actual source. Rumors run rampant in social circles and it's conceivable that someone made a comment that they'd only heard of courtrooms being closed because of child molestation and it spiraled after that.

If Nathan really wanted to have custody of Kaiser, he would move closer and be petitioning the court all the time. Sadly, it costs a lot of money to do what he needs to do and he probably doesn't have the money. Now is a perfect time to go after the swamp monsters with a family law attorney, though. They don't have the funds to pay an attorney to file motion after motion after motion anymore. Nathan would have a much better chance if he really wanted to have Kaiser. @Druzy can chime in here about the cost of family law. It, sadly, truly is a situation of who has the most money wins. Kaden's mother Olivia was able to finally keep Kaden away from them only after she raised enough money through GoFundMe to keep her lawyer working for her.

There was a pile of dirty dishes in the sink, looked like pots and pans. Even when they cook instead of microwave crap for the kids, they eat off of paper plates. Maybe they smashed all of the dishes during one of their wall punching, collarbone breaking drunken misunderstandings? They must buy paper plates by the truckload.
