  1. It's true ratings mean jack, and it's assumed the Netflix deal is what drives WBTV revenue these days, but nobody involved in the show has said this season was meant to be binged. Fans have been making that assumption because it looks like they are writing as if the show is supposed to be binged. I was talking about this last season, even.
  2. Even if this was actually meticulously planned to be played out exactly like it was -- people wondering why does Oliver look so dumb and robotic, why is O/F being so completely ignored for 20! episodes -- it still looks like they fucked up and 520 is the fix. WHO in their right minds plans shit that looks like damage is finally being dealt with? Arrow, obvi.
  3. Isn't that the show that's totally about Scientology and Tom Cruise's arranged marriages, but everyone involved in the show is pretending it isn't because Scientology likes to sue people? I kinda wanna watch it, but I might wait for a full season to binge. Because crazy cults fascinate me.
  4. I was cured from watching everything Marvel when they cast Doctor Strange, and there's no fucking way I'm watching Benedryl Cucumberalien in anything ever again because he's terrifying and I'd rather poke myself in the eye. So now that I skipped one, I can skip any.
  5. sop säp/ noun noun: sop; plural noun: sops 1. a thing given or done as a concession of no great value to appease someone whose main concerns or demands are not being met.
  6. English as a second language: I learned the word "sop" today. Thanks, guys! :)))
  7. We have Lindt shops in Rio too. One of them is very near me, it's A PROBLEM not to go in every time I pass by it, hee. I don't even have a sweet tooth, but their chocolate is the best.
  8. Didn't Lexa Doig mention Talia in a board room or something? They're not even trying to pretend. I guess it makes sense this was supposed to be a five year journey that started by ripping off Batman Begins to scary levels, now it ends with TDKR. Hee.
  9. Yeah, I drink a ton of hibiscus tea too, either hot or cold. I love it with a spritz of lime, but I'm definitely gonna try it with cinnamon and oranges wedges now. That sounds awesome. Also, I use a ton of mint leaves in general for cooking [Lebanese here], and I then I use the stalks to brew tea, which is awesome with lemon/lime/ginger/honey. I also use it to make green juice in the morning [mint tea, lime, spinach, green apple or green grapes, stevia, spirulina], because I'm THAT person. :)
  10. LOL yeah. At this point in the history of a show, the only time writers are talking about motivation, and character beats, is when they're breaking the episode as a group in the room. The feeling I have from Wendy's interviews is that she internalizes those discussions, and it doesn't even matter if stuff changes in script, or filming, or editing -- in her mind it's the broke episode that goes. And... it's never the broke episode that goes. No idea. It looks like they film a bunch of these previews at the same time, so it's likely there are episodes in different stages of production.
  11. Also, this set up is kinda dumbtastic in that Barry proposed because he knew Iris wasn't wearing a ring in the death scene he saw... which he knows the exact date of... so, you know, maybe put a ring on her finger that day, and make sure she wears different clothes that day, and maybe travel to another city that day, and rent a panic room underground, or something. It hurts my heart when tv shows are this dumb about time travel.
  12. She's a showrunner, so she definitely watches A LOT of scenes that end up being cut, and different versions of scenes that they keep, and she most likely watches every single cut of every episode.
  13. I used to drink regular Coke instead of water, basically, but a few years ago I decided to go cold turkey on it, and got rid of the habit. I drink it occasionally now, but generally I just order sparkling water these days. ...But then I started making my own sodas at home because once a hipster, always a hipster. But hey, at least now I know EXACTLY what goes into my lime-hibiscus soft drinks? Heh.
  14. What do you even mean by "unprofessional"? This guy is a vulture that hounds, stalks and accosts celebs in public places and bullies them into signing pictures. There's exactly ZERO professionalism in what he does.
  15. Wait, Barry and Iris broke up after ONE EPISODE of being engaged? Weren't they supposed to FINALLY break the mold of the CW? This is the opposite of breaking the mold, CW.
  16. That would require them to pay monies to KC next season, so I was thinking a regular framed picture that will be last forever seen in the finale, and never again.
  17. I can see it as flashback!Oliver finally gets back to the island, he has the picture of doom when he decides to come home, so he has a flashback [#flashbackception] to Laurel from before the island, and the words "Dinah Laurel Lance, always trying to save the world" are involved, and then in present time Oliver finally gets rid of the island picture of doom, maybe giving it to Lance, or frames it for the bunker, or something ~symbolic... that transitions into Tinah accepting the BC name.
  18. That's from the Harlem Shake video meme that was going around a few years ago. Here's a copy off YouTube:
  19. Most everyone in Brazil has a clothes line [linens dry completely in 2 hours max during Summer], almost nobody has a basement [too hot to live underground].
  20. I actually like Palmer on LOT now, but I'm still super convinced he's the kind of creepster who'll murder a woman with his crazy eyes at some point. I felt like that when he was with Felicity, and felt it perhaps even more when he was with Kendra. I'm still not convinced he didn't murder his fiancée and just took advantage of the mirakuru soldiers being in town for an alibi.
  21. Wow, now it happened to me too, at first glance I thought this was KC. You guys might be onto something there.
  22. It's kind of irrelevant to me whether there were moments during the season, even. This is staple network tv, staple CW shows, staple everything ever when you have a ~power couple involving your male lead in an ordinary show. Happy romantic moments happen either as the coda of the season, OR they happen right before ~shocking cliffhanger~ and/or tragegy strikes. S1 did [bad] romance before tragedy with Laurel/Oliver S2 and S3 did happy shippy coda with Oliver/Felicity S4 did weird shit because they were told to stall ship S5 is not gonna go any different. Because this show is weird as fuck, but by the gods of television, it follows standard tropes to a T.
  23. And if Talia is Chase's mother, then Chase can look at Oliver and go, "did you know that you're my uncle?" I need this.
