SAMEEN, YOU LITTLE BEAUTY! Love that she totally did a Shawshank Redemption on her prison escape (also that was a superb pun PoI, like seriously A+ level lol), beat up some asshole inmates, made a new friend, killed that smug Lambert sonuva and axe'd some guards a few questions on her way out. What a legend. Absolutely cannot wait for her reunion with Bear. And Root. And Reese/Finch/Fusco of course. I'm getting so nervous everytime Lionel pops up on screen. I have no idea how its all going to play out, but man are they shading something bad happening to him. I know that its classic way to write a fake out, but when that needle went into his neck.... Please don't die Lionel! Or anyone else on Team Machine for that matter! Is that too much to ask?

What a fantastic episode. Person of Interest might have been forcefully pushed out the door by CBS, but its' definitely leaving a lasting impression with these final episodes. Loved basically everything about this episode - the adventures of Root and The Machine, her desperation in her search for Shaw, the Finch and Root philosophical debates, Shaw's complete lack of interest in Samaritan's efforts to recruit her, the 'noble sacrifice' she was about to make for real just so she wouldn't be tricked into harming an innocent life, the hail-mary broadcast of Root's love for Shaw across the airwaves, everything with Fusco. It's like I couldn't have even dreamed up a more fulfilling episode. btw Samaritan, what do you have against Tasmanian Tigers lol? That was a pretty cool insert, mainly because I know there's a decent amount of research in Australia going into the possibilities of bringing back Thylacines from extinction.

Probably because he realised she'd been lying to him to get inside the FBI. Jane only 'remembered' the fishing/camping trips with Weller and his dad because Oscar told her to say it, in order to get closer and ingratiate herself deeper. But given that Weller is convinced he found the real Taylor Shaw's body then its not possible for Jane to be 'remembering' it and she must be lying about it, hence why he's arresting her. It seems a reasonably logical course of action to me, especially given his state of mind over the whole 'oh, my dad actually is a child-murderer' thing.

Why is everyone talking as if this is it for Lexa? The Flame still exists, therefore Lexa still exists inside it. I fully expect that to come up again in Season4, especially given the amount of discussion generated by Lexa's death in the first place. This is a pretty obvious way to bring Lexa back, in a way that doesn't retcon everything before it. I don't think you can fault the show for not delivering on their season finales. While not quite as a good as the Season1 and 2 finales (which is probably due to the glaring mistakes made throughout Season3 which takes some of the shine off), this was still a pretty tense episode. I was spoiler free except for the very broad 'Clarke goes into the COL and encounters Lexa', so it was all on a knife's edge for me up until Clarke finally threw the lever. Lexa had some kickass scenes - even though I knew she was going to be there, when she leapt over the steps with some dual-wielding swords I still got all 'aww, hell yeah!'. Octavia running Pike through was long due, and I kinda like that she didn't need to say anything either. I think things changed for Jasper in the editing room too - pretty sure he was about to end himself there. Interesting setup for next season as well - an impending global meltdown - and I'm kinda interested to see how they handle it. I'll be watching season4

I'm guessing a massive shoot-out at an inner-city electrical substation, that coincided with a massive power outage (don't forget that was happening too - Samaritan was flushing The Machine out), maybe had the NYPD distracted. As for how Fusco got Elias back, treated his injuries and so on? Clearly Bear had his back. Also clearly I don't know on that one lol, but its not improbable that someone like say Harper gave Fusco a hand in getting Elias to Dr Tillman or someone.

I think I was exactly the same, which on reflection makes me like the episode even more - it mirrors the confusion Shaw was feeling. The sudden escape, then Root saves her, now we're at Roots swank digs (what?), the chip is gone, BEAR, sexy times, go capture Greer (what?), kill-code found (what?), Greer is DEAD! (what?), REESE IS DEAD! (what?), ROOT IS SHAW'S SAFE PLACE!, SHAW IS DEAD!!! (what?) and so on. A lot was happening, and there was alot of sudden jumping between it all. Then the reveal that its all a simulation, and when you re-watch everything becomes so much more coherent. Interesting choice for an episode, given that a re-watch is almost required to make it all out but I personally kinda like that. It feels like a more interactive experience for a TV episode, and something that is out of the ordinary. Good fake-out on the title of the episode. I'd assumed that 6,741 was a reference to the amount of hours Shaw had been in Samaritan's clutches (ie roughly 9months). 6,741 simulations that Shaw has resisted is such an awesome reveal, and goes to show how badass Shaw is. It's a really good look into Shaw's psyche, how she views her comrades, how strong her mental walls are (6,741 times and she never gives away the location of the Subway, the cover identities or even that Fusco is part of their operation) and how deep she cares for Root. Samaritan might be able to force her into shooting Reese, but she'll turn the gun on herself before hurting Root. Dark as that is, that's a pretty amazing way of depicting how much Shaw loves Root. I think its amazing how the subtext has become canon with those two, and has happened so naturally over the show. And I'll echo the applause for Sarah's acting. That was a brilliant performance. I totally get and agree why Nolan and Plageman put this episode in their top 8 episodes of all time (Many Happy Returns, Firewall, Bad Code, Relevance, The Devil's Share, Deus Ex Machina and If-Then-Else are the other 7 they picked).

In this episode - Shaw figures out a loophole to keep have sexy-time dreams of Root, whilst waiting for Team Machine to get off their asses and rescue her. Also, I'm going to re-watch to form some more critical thoughts :p

I think you mean Allison and Sarah ;) That was a throwback to season1 as well, when Cosima and Sarah are getting into each other over the phone (back then it was over the Delphine monitor situation). They both did the "bitch" mutter after they hung up.

That part is not in question; the fact that SAM weapons were being illegally sold to the Afghani's at all is the weird part. What use do the Afghan's have for surface-to-air missiles? They're fighting insurgents, who don't have air assets. The only air assets in the theatre are the ones being used by the US and its allies. So why ship SAMs in the first place, and run the risk of them being stolen and used against you?

Bear: Dutch "Speaking" Military-Attack-Guard Dog
Agent Dark replied to Raingirlkm's topic in Person Of Interest [V]
The Machine is probably generating high frequency tones that Bear can hear, but humans can't ;) Time to fit Bear for his very own cochlear implant :D -
I don't think it was meant to be implied that Zapata spoke loud enough for the shooter to hear that she was out of ammo - it was more for the Coach's (and therefore the audiences) benefit to raise the tension before Jane saves the day.

If you look at the little graphic Samaritan pops up, it notes that his IQ is 153 - I'd say that plays a large part in Samaritan's interest in the guy. Same reason Claire Mahoney was recruited.

Liking Root's sweet new digs. Hopefully Shaw will be liking them soon too ;) Harold thinking he was seeing Grace, and then seeing all the faces blurred out, seemed ominous especially since Root didn't seem to have any reaction to it. Harold's father had suffered from Alzheimer's, and I'm wondering if this is Harold possibly having the same. Remember, the very genesis of the idea of The Machine to Harold came from when he was a boy and wanting to build a machine that could keep all of his dad's memories for him. It would be a very bittersweet ending if that came full circle in the end; The Machine keeping Harold's memories safe as he loses them. John is lonely without his Mayhem Twin around :( The idea of him getting destroy by The Fuscinator at bowling is terribly amusing though lol. I also got the impression that that little picnic they had might be the last chance they're gonna get to catch their breath and relax... Captain Anderson from the Mass Effect games to me. Or from the Saints Row games, where he also played Vice President Keith David lol. He's got such a great voice.

Hehe, Zapata referencing Patterson's "4 hour Elf and Wizard games" and Patterson defending her love of DnD and correcting that she's actually a Gnome Cleric was a nice shout to the Critical Role web-series, where Ashley Johnson plays Dungeons and Dragons as Gnome Cleric called Pike

The Cell microprocessor that the PS3 uses is naturally good at super-computing applications. Clusters of PS3s have actually been turned into super-computers in real-life for scientific research purposes and the US Air Force even built a big cluster out of 1700 PS3's for analysing satellite imagery, which is apparently like the 33rd largest super-computer in the world. The models that Root stole where even the older 'fatboy' PS3's, which had the ability to install a Linux operating sytem (Sony removed that functionality in the later 'slimline' PS3s).
-
Sarah Shahi has actually been out of the main cast credits since Ctrl-Alt-Del (ie the very episode after Shaw's "death") and even went uncredited for that surprise scene at the end of MIA. I like that Root even mentioned that she was using the PS3 because it's explicitly a last generation console, ie the hardware design is from well before Samaritan's time. Ie Samaritan is all up in your PS4/XBones ;)

Lexa continues to be awesome even from beyond the grave, doing what it takes to keep Clarke safe, and getting one of the best kills of the season lol.

Best part was Jane jumping through the window to kick that guys arse on the trading floor. Awesomely over-the-top lol. I want her to go overboard with dramatic action sequences all the time. Weller: Here, let me open the door for you Patterson. *Jane bust down from the ventilation shaft, commando rolls across the hallway, takes down Weller and opens the door* Jane: After you.

The Producers were talking about this in an interview (since they're running both shows) - they were frankly pretty amazed that it managed to line up so well, being only 1 day out of sync. Cross-network scheduling is not something that's easy to arrange apparently. If it was The Flash crossing over to another CW show it would have been much easy to line up the episodes in order.

That got me thinking about an Elektra/Nyssa al Ghul crossover team-up. That would be awesome.

Awesome!

Ratings and Scheduling: Still More Numbers to Decipher
Agent Dark replied to Kris117's topic in Person Of Interest [V]
Sort of. From what I understand (which is not very much!) it's used in C/C++ and it basically signifies that the program has successfully executed. Which is an interesting way to title the last episode of the show.
