  1. I think it's also because Jenna is a far more interesting character than Ezra. I think that may have to do with how much screentime he's gotten compared to Jenna. We've seen alot of Ezra, but apart from a little bit of whiny family issues that have never really been explored the only things we've really seen about him is Ezria and his creeping. It's easy to dismiss him as exactly what he appears to be - a creeper - because of that. Jenna on the other hand is shrouded in mystery, which automatically makes her a more interesting character imo. Yes she's done some pretty despicable things, but there's also the other sides to her character where's she's expressing vulnerabilities and stuff. I think its easy to forget the terrible things she's done in the past when she such an awesome screen presence. Well for starters Alison hasn't done something as straight up bad as rape someone. There's no denying that Emily has some blinders on when it comes to Ali, but they appear to be slowly getting removed. And even then, it remains to be seen exactly what kind of person Ali truly is anyway.
  2. She's had a full on hatred for Jenna ever since the Liars learned that Jenna was raping Toby. Emily and Toby bonded pretty early on in Season1, back when the rest of the Liars still thought Toby was a bad guy. While Toby these days is pretty much only present for Spoby scenes, he and Emily are actually meant to be quite good friends. She's got his back basically, hence the hatred for Jenna. I'd also imagine there might be an element of disgust with herself too. In the first Halloween episode, Jenna and Emily did do some fairly intense eye-flirting. Emily was definitely 'looking' (which to be honest, fair enough) and that was where we first got the hint that Jenna was bi. So for Emily to learn that a girl she was maybe interested in turned out to be a monster might have something to do with her hatred as well.
  3. Poor Sydney is crushing on Emily, except she's now in Emily's shitbook for daring to associate with Jenna. As usual Emily's got 99 problems, with chicks making up at least 75% of them.
  4. Poison Ivy was featured in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, both hugely succesful video games. I'd say shes certainly one of the more recognisable Batman villains. The Kanes! I'd love a refererence to Batwoman, especially since Renee Montoya is already on the show.
  5. When Rhonda said that "some rich lady was taking her [bethany] to the circus", my first thought was Mrs Fitzgerald. I mean Aria jumping straight to the conclusion that it was Mrs Dilaurentis seems like a red herring to me. The Dilaurentis' do seem well off but they don't scream "rich" like the Fitzgerald family. Bring back Mrs Fitz and making her shady as all hell would be a great move, especially if it implicates Ezra at the same time. Also, lol at Emily having a fear of horses. Knife Murderers trying to kill you in a lighthouse? No drama, stab that asshole first. Black Hooded creepers trying to murder your girl? Come at me bro. A horse standing calmly under the control of a trainer? Fuck that shit, let's get out of here.
  6. I'm interested in the very specific closeup the director did The Swamp Thing comic that Caleb was reading. First off, full respect to Caleb since The Swamp Thing relaunch was one of the best things to come out of the New52 reboot that DC Comics did a few years ago (also, naughty producers for showing a DC/Warner Brothers comic rather than a Disney/Marvel one on your Disney owned network lol). It's a really great horror book, with some absolutely fantastic artwork if you're into horror stuff. But I find it interesting that the show went to a length to specifically show that he was reading The Swamp Thing. One of the major themes of The Swamp Thing is the protagonist's, Alec Holland, struggle over the monster that lurks inside him as he tries to define his humanity in view of the fact that he's a freaking monster. Alan Moore's defining run on the title back in the 80's would eventually reveal that The Swamp Thing wasn't even Alec Holland - Alec Holland was dead, and The Swamp Thing was just a plant entity with the fragments of Holland's memory making it think it was human. It got me thinking if that was a literary allusion, and who it was to - Caleb, due to his experiences in Ravenswood? Especially since Ravenswood had some horror elements to it, which is definitely a major part of The Swamp Thing. Or is it about Alison, especially since the next scene is the one between Alison and Caleb squaring off. Is Alison the monster clinging desperately to glimpses of humanity?
  7. Oh yeah, if you haven't watched Battlestar Galactica yet you're doing yourself a huge disservice. After watching the first season of Orphan Black one of my first thoughts was "I haven't watched a Sci Fi show as amazing as this since BSG".
  8. Kiera is Batman!
  9. About 2/3 of the way through I was a bit 'eh'. Then the end sold me. First it was the Carlos as Commissioner Gordon/Kiera as Batman line (hehe), then the futuristic soldiers in power armour. I'm on board for Season4 for sure.
  10. Haha even in her voice acting she does that. She voiced a scientist character in Half Life 2 who was somewhat condescending towards the player character. Though her voice acting in DC Universe Online was amazing - she voiced Circe, a Wonder Woman Villain who was on the main 'bad guy' characters. Hearing her shout "I AM CIRCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" in this amazingly over-the-top dramatic voice is hilarious. It was poor compositing of a CGI background to actors in front of a Green Screen. Lots of TV shows seem to have this problem, probably due to limited budgets and limited production times. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for example has a huge problem with doing the same thing, and it's on a major network with a significantly higher budget (I would imagine). Lighting is the main issue - the human eye is pretty good at picking up contrast, so as soon as your CGI lighting is out of whack with the set lighting it looks really fake.
  11. So next season will be CASTOR vs LEDA? Sarah and her crew vs Mark and his crew? Or the Military vs Dyad? In the words of a very old, little green dude. "Begun, the Clone Wars have."
  12. Heh, it's not like Emily wasn't trying. Walking Ali's dog, showing up for dinner with Ali (only to get twat-blocked by Hannah), taking Ali's side in their arguments etc.
  13. I'm pretty sure her dad is still alive and kicking. I was doing a re-watch of S1, and one of the episodes (forgot which) has a scene where Piper is in the visiting room with someone (again, forgot who lol) and in the background you get a brief glimpse of Poussey sitting down with a man in military fatigues who I'm pretty sure was the same actor who plays her dad in season2.
  14. Oh, the purple outfit. I think the actress looks fine, but I'm going to reserve any other judgement until I've seen the show.
  15. I don't. The Darwyn Cooke redesign for Ed Brubaker's Catwoman relaunch (Catwoman Volume 3 which started in 2002 and lasted 82 issues through to 2008) remains the best imo. Cooke was the one that introduced the goggles and zip up jacket in an all black colour scheme. It was also probably the best run of the Catwoman comic as well - Brubaker gave the stories a more 'noir' feel to them, with Catwoman being firmly portrayed as an anti-hero rather than a villain like she had previously. http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_large/0/4/45063-7328-52123-1-catwoman.jpg The Catwoman design here is definitely taking most of its cues from the Cooke design.
  16. Shana is clearly not A. A started with the texts to Alison way before Shana ever got involved. The first A text was in the Halloween Episode before Alison went missing; Shana got involved after Alison 'died' when Ali sent her old friend from Georgia (Shana) to investigate Jenna and Paige and see if they had any involvement in her 'death'. Apparently Shana fell in love with/was manipulated by Jenna and turned against Ali. And is now dead. Shana loose thread closed.
  17. It was to show that he had activated some sort of CMR spoofing device that prevented Kiera from using her CMR to correctly detect whether Alec was lying about not knowing Halo had serious side effects. Kiera is just that hardcore :)
  18. Eh, for a light and general power circuit you're probably not that concerned. It's not like there's motors or anything that can draw a high load hanging off it. However the fact that she was using non-insulated tools, had no means of verifying the circuit was de-energised (multimeter or some other sort of voltage detector) and there were two people poking around the same panel in cramped conditions were the real red flags for me. Maybe it's a subtle commentary on the poor safety training given to inmates. Or maybe its just a TV thing (though surely there would be sparkies in the crew who would be able to point out correct safety procedures).
  19. Pensatucky being on board with the Lesbian Agenda should be hilarious now that Alex is going to back (I assume) in the picture.
  20. http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1184235/playing-rune-wars-with-cosima - Link to some BTS stuff from one of the extras in the scene where Cosima and Scott are playing Runewars. The scene where Cosima revealed she was the clone to Scott was quite well done. You have Scott's reaction to modern science miracle - a real live functioning human clone - but also his reaction to a friend who he now knows has serious medical problems. And then the end... I don't think I'm even ready to see Cosima in a coma or whatever, let alone worse. Please don't die Cosima :(
  21. "I want you to promise me, that when the time comes, you won't flinch". Really interested to see more of Marian. Is she part of the original Project LEDA? Leekie seemed quite defferential to her, and he was all but shitting himself at the end after hearing her on the phone. It will also be interesting to see how things play out for Delphine and Cosima now that Rachel is seemingly in direct control. And speaking of Cosima.... Things just aren't coming up good for her. I am really worried she isn't going to make it out of this season... D: I kinda like that Delphine is going to the lengths she is to help Cosima - even if she does save Cosima's life, she might Cos' heart.
  22. Mrs S. is clearly more connected to the whole thing than she's letting on - she knows Paul's backstory somehow. Judging by the promo for the next episode, I'd say there's a good chance that perhaps Mrs S. has been playing both sides. Maybe she gave DYAD/Leekie some genetic material in order to keep them off Sarah?
