  1. I really like Elena in general, but whew! These last few days, she's been taking all kinds of Ls because of poor writing. Even if they appeared off screen, I would have liked to have heard references about Sally's doctor, hospital counselors and possibly hospital clergy visiting her. And it would have been nice to have some indication that someone had fully explained what happened to the baby to Sally. She could very well still be angry (that's understandable), but based on her conversation with Adam today, it doesn't sound like she's grasped how dire the situation was.
  2. I swear Elena will get off my list, but not today! ๐Ÿ˜‚ 1. Why didn't Adam get a chance to hold his baby? 2. Why would she give them both "gifts" without explaining what was inside? Why would she leave Sally alone with hers after acknowledging that she had had a rough day and was dealing with hormones, etc.? Yes, we got a lot of ACTING today (tm another poster), but none of this makes sense! I did like the Adam/Nick hug. Back to Sharon, while I think it's gross she's still wearing the dress, I'm more grossed out that she's still wearing her boots!
  3. Oh good grief. I guess weโ€™re supposed to handwave realism, but Elena essentially throwing Adam under the bus and then not giving him a heads up is ridiculous.
  4. YES! The crazy thing is Elena originally said they needed to take the baby but it could possible put Sally's life at risk. Then less than a minute later it turned into "Sally will DIE!" I was so annoyed. I was monitored for pre-eclampsia and ended up developing it when my baby was full term. I just happened to already be in the hospital for a pre-op C-section appointment when my doctor's office got the results. They whisked me a way so fast, I barely had time to call my husband. Certainly no time for any quiet talks about how we met. **eye roll** Also, would it have killed them to put a fetal monitor on Sally? And the Cameron ridiculousness. The cops and Victor's security team just let Sharon and Nick rush in with no backup? WTF?
  5. Forgive me for being too real life, but did Cameron go to jail for crimes against Sharon? (I wasn't watching during his first tenure on the show.) If so, isn't it common for victims to be made aware of parole hearings? And wouldn't his parole include some order to stay away from Sharon? Perhaps someone, maybe Chance, explained this all away in 30 seconds and I missed it. Either way, I'm happy to see Sharon have a story line -- and her house !-- again. I'm also happy to see Nick doing something other than mooning over Sally.
  6. Oof. I was wondering about this. CH and MG were never super out about their relationship, but I had noticed they hadn't posted anything at all of the two of them together in a few months. Messy messy. I'm not sure if what we are seeing on the show now is pre or post breakup, but she still has more chemistry with Adam than Nick. And yeah, definitely chem testing Nick and Elena. BTW, am loving Elena's casual style. She's about the only woman on the show who wears jeans regularly.
  7. Yeah, while the shower was nice, it was also another reminder that Sharon and Abby no longer have homes. Because there's no reason to shut down the main part of a restaurant for an event with six people. And I chuckled at the end of Billy and Kyle's fight when Kyle thanked him for trying to get his mind off of Diane by presenting a stupid idea. They both sounded sincere. I would almost call it a sweet moment. lol
  8. Right. Like I said in my other post, my dishwasher is old as dirt, so probably not the most efficient. But even if I had a shiny new one, I would still rinse some things. I hate when remnants of ketchup, hot sauce, barbecue sauce, fish sauce, ranch, etc. slide down the plates and collect at the bottom of the dishwasher. Smells lovely, too. That's enough to make me run a half load. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  9. Ahhh, a Cascade dishwasher tab commercial telling me it's OK to run half loads. Let's unpack: 1. The premise is you use more water hand-washing dishes than running the dishwasher. That might be so, but the items I handwash (pots, pans, Yeti tumblers) are items I don't put in the dishwater. I rarely wash anything that I would drop in the dishwasher. 2. I doubt my 16-plus-year-old dishwasher is all that energy efficient, but it's still kicking so I'm rolling with it. 3. Which bring us here. If I wash half loads all the time, I'll use twice the number of dish tabs than just waiting to run full loads. Oh Cascade. Why are you burying the lede? And I use and like Cascade tabs, but this is ridiculous.
  10. I think Chance will still show up. I saw a clip on Instagram of all of the women walking by a camera individually and smiling or blowing a kiss or whatever. Nina and Christine were included and dressed in formalwear. My guess is they will show up on Mondayโ€™s episode and Chance will be escorting his mother. ETA: Chloe and Esther were also in the video, so it seems a handful of folks still havenโ€™t showed up. Maybe we will end up seeing Mariah/Tessa/Noah/Allie.
  11. I know the actors who play Noah and Allie have been put on reoccurring status, but it was still weird for them not to be mentioned. Sharon could have had a throwaway line about them being out of town and something about Mariah and Tessa being with the baby. Sit me at the โ€œTucker is rightโ€ table. I hope next week that we at least hear that theyโ€™re going in for dinner or heading to the ballroom for dancing. Because otherwise this gala is lame lame. As for Neil, I do think that it makes sense that he continues to be a strong presence in Devonโ€˜s and Lilyโ€™s lives. But I did find the jazz room dedication a little cringe. I actually thought they were going to mention John Abbott.
  12. Probably because she's used to it in real life. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Missed today's episode because I'm in the office. But, I meant to write this yesterday. I thought Phyllis looked nice at lunch with Lauren. I liked that her hair wasn't flat, she was wearing a whole shirt that covered most everything and her skin looked less orange. In general , she looked less harsh. I might have to find today's episode on demand to see if SidePart went up to the hotel room. I LOVE that nickname, BTW. For some reason, I just noticed it last week! Has it always been like t hat?
  13. Mark and Courtney Hope (Sally) are dating now. They have great chemistry and the fact that they are together in RL makes me chuckle when she's all "we aren't meant for each other!" lol They really do continue to sizzle in their limited scenes together. On the other hand, she and Nick just seem like sad friends with benefits. Maybe it's just the current story line, but I totally bought Nick with Phyllis. They look like that had fun and actually liked each other.
  14. The actress playing Lucy is actually 16. I can tell she's trying to act younger. I'm surprised they couldn't find an actual 13-year-old, or a 12- or 14-year old. But she is pretty and looks like Daniel's child. Maybe that's what got her the job. However, as the mother of an actual 13-year-old, the phone thing made me laugh at loud. I swear my son's phone is glued to his hand. I'll ask him to help me move something in the house and he shows up with his phone. "No son, you'll need BOTH your hands." ๐Ÿ˜‚
  15. I'd love to know, too. I understand the sound stage is only so big, so having to tear down a set to build another one is probably is a lot of time (and time almost always equals money). I do think it's funny how the Chancellor living room with its grand staircase basically turned into some side sunroom when Abby and Chance were breaking up. The first time I saw it, I wasn't sure where they were supposed to be. I read on one of the threads here that the actors who play Noah and Allie are now on recurring status. I guess it happened around the time Audra dropped the bomb about having been pregnant because that story line went nowhere. But I guess Noah and Allie are still supposed to be around GC. I haven't heard otherwise.
  16. Two or three years ago, we had someone toss a bag of dog poop in our trash can after pickup but before we moved it. I just happened to look in (have no idea why) and saw it. And it wasn't even tied tight. If we had just started tossing garbage bags on top, I'm sure it would have splattered all over. We ended up turning the can on the side so I could fish it out with a shovel. Then I doubled bagged, tied tight and put it back. There was recently a spirited debate on one of my mom boards about. Some people were all, it's a TRASH can. But a trash can doesn't necessarily have to smell bad. Everything that goes in our can is bagged. Even when we had a cat, poop was mixed in with litter and doubled bagged. If I have meat to toss, I'll actually bag it and stick it in the freezer until the night before trash pickup. That way it's not outside baking for days. One time, I forgot and tossed meat in the summer. I can't describe the odor...and the flies! It took two intense can washings (which wasn't easy!) before it finally dissipated.
  17. Regarding the Jared commercial with the sick woman: It's a year or two old, and I swear at one point I saw a slightly longer version that filled in some of the details about her illness. I can't even remember what she said, but it seemed to bridge the "I got sick" and the shrieking "He came every day!" lines. I just saw the prescription commercial with the dad in the speedo. I had to rewind to see what I was watching...and why! lol
  18. Summer's skirt yesterday was surprising because she usually dresses much more conservatively. I though it looked good on her, but was too short for the office as styled. A pair of black tights would have gone a long way. I thought she looked pretty in that steel blue/silver top. I was glad to see her in something outside the brown/beige family. All the talk about sets reminded me of homes we never see anymore: Victoria's house, Lily and Billy's condo, even Nick's place, although it's been a minute since we had seen that anyway. Noah's club now appears to be on the shelf along with him and Ally. And the rooftop bar that had made a reappearance is gone again, too. I also try to play hotel room bingo, but I never get far. I've figured that gold vase that sits on top of the cabinet is is supposed to be in every room.
  19. That's a good call by either the actress or the producers. I've always found it jarring when characters are in a rough patch, but seem to find time and energy to slap on a full face of makeup every day or wear fancy hair styles. It's not always realistic, and Elena day in and day out looks realistic. I was going to ask what Newman the company actual DOES. I've been watching since the early 90s and don't think I've ever known. I do remember the Brash and Sassy division. lol
  20. In yesterday's episode, I thought she looked like the character felt -- someone whose boyfriend always has drama. She looked like she was not in a mood to throw on anything more than mascara and jeans to go get a coffee. She was fairly barefaced for being on TV, so it was a bit unusual and noticeable.
  21. Yeah, she dresses fairly conservatively. They also put her in a lot of brown and dark tan.
  22. Yes! I was coming to ask this. Isn't Adam co-CEO? If he outranks Kyle on the company org chart, no one is sending Kyle files pertaining to him (printed files that Kyle wanders around the hall reading) or debriefing Kyle on Adam's performance. I realize this show isn't about business, but I really wish they would tighten up the business aspects a little. I'm still unclear about what Daniel's gaming platform even IS, yet three supposedly huge companies are about to get in a dogfight over it. Also, I have no idea how Noah and Audra were ever together. Talk about opposites attracting. Lastly, minor detail, but was there any mention of what happened to the park? All of a sudden, everyone is going to this cozy little courtyard area.
  23. Right. If you read their official statement that talks about the controversy, and then introduces Maya as the spokesperson, it seems a little tongue in cheek. I agree they seem to be playing the long game.
  24. Yeah, I really like the last two Dr. Rick commercials. A nice rebound from the airport and "should left a text" versions that I didn't care for. I also like the old Skyrizi song, especially the twangy country version -- "nothing is everythaaaaaang!" The new one sent me flying to google to see why it was different. I agree that's it's likely because it's focused on Crohn's. Lastly, I hate Domino's "we'll tip you $3." If they really want to tip $3, just take it off the online order or remove it in store if the customer is paying cash. Otherwise, it's just a lousy coupon that probably requires a minimum purchase the next time you order and expires before you're in the mood for Domino's again.
  25. So I want to talk about Sharon's top today. Aesthetically I thought it was very pretty. Nice color, fit her well, looked good with her outfit. But practically, I can't stand "confused sweaters." lol One arm is covered by a nice, chunky knit...and the other one is completely bare? I had a short-sleeve sweater many years ago, and I could never figure out when to wear it. When it was warm enough to wear short sleeves, the body part was too warm. When It was cool enough for the body part, my arms were cold. ๐Ÿ˜‚ As for Lily's proposal, I'm not sure if it matters if Devon is gone along as the HW company is still part of the Chancellor portfolio. And I know I'm a party of one, but I'm bummed that Lily and Billy split. I thought they had good chemistry and seemed like a believable couple.
