  1. I sort of think that Tweety brings Crazy Eyes on to mock her. Goodness knows he buried her back in 2008. Once again, allow me to apologize for the district north of mine, heh.
  2. Meeka would barely let her speak, and not for nothing? Senator Klobuchar doesn't control Senate recesses, you could take that up with the turtle.
  3. I'm glad I wasn't in the corner all alone in being irritated by Sanders last night, between his cockamamie plan to flip super-delegates and his lack of (no surprise here) a litmus test for women's reproductive rights, I was about to cancel my monthly contribution to him. And I actually want him to stay in until California, but I might have to rethink that stance. I want him to have real power at the convention to hold Clinton's feet to the fire on a lot of issues in the platform.
  4. No Meeka, there was no quote in the NYT piece about Obama's characterization of the race between Clinton and Sanders, and every.single.one.of.your.colleagues very carefully pointed out that it wasn't a quote last night. Oh Meeka, you can't manage to hold back the glee you have about the idea of tRump tearing apart Clinton, as you like to say, pathetic. She's on a damn roll of stupidity this morning, why don't you complain about Mike Lee ( R ) Utah, that is holding up the emergency funds for Flint instead of trying to blame Obama. Dean and everyone and their "disgust" is pitiful, not a single one of them is bringing up Lee's hold. At least the Democratic Congressmen managed to help the people from Flint that rode on buses for nine hours to witness the testimony get some small amount of satisfaction, because you know, the money isn't coming. Neither are the daily deliveries of safe water, because both the MI legislature and the Senate are busy politicking. Heh, no mention of tRump's voicemail being hacked, I wonder why? eta again: Good on You, Senator Stabenow - you tell these idiots what's going on. and again: Meeka, when you attack sweet Senator Amy, you are barking up the wrong tree.
  5. I hate him, with the burning passion... He was okay back in the day on C-Span, he was even okay as the enthusiastic MS/NBC answer to John King with all his geeky knowledge and enthusiasm about the electorate and geography, but as MTP Moderator - his smarm and bias shine through way too much, every bit as much as David Gregory. He was okay teamed up with Savannah Guthrie, but for me he's unbearable without her.
  6. I think Brook's age brought them up to Jrs from the start. It's not meant to be diminutive to call them Minis it's the category that they compete in, or sometimes it's referred to as Petites. It means the 6-9 age group at competitions, generally speaking.
  7. So nice to have Chris back in place for a few nights in a row!
  8. Chuck Todd had way better toys in 2008. I don't know why they moth balled them. I really hate that wheel graphic they are using to represent the exit polls. They mystery question is, what is so important that it's always rolled up in Kornacki's hand? I didn't like him very much on Up, but I never thought he'd turn out to be a complete tool.
  9. The whole discussion about Merrick Garland stepped around the real reason that the GOP is refusing to address his nomination. It has zero to do with Obama and where he is in his presidency and has everything to do with the tipping of the balance away from a conservative court. They have a lot of balls with this shenanigans since Bush Sr was the one that replaced Thurgood Marshall with Clarence Thomas. Now that, was a true travesty. Jedi-whatever came close to telling the truth when she talked about Obama already having had two appointees to the court, but it's not about Obama's legacy with his nominations but tipping the court back to a more balanced ideology and away from corporate conservatism.
  10. Co-sign. Sunny and grades, don't mean to bore y'all but I have two kids that had the two different ideals applied to them. The child that was expected to work up to ability (which was A- GPA in the IB Diploma programme, 20 hours a week of dance and a part time job) or had consequences is a junior at a prestigious private college, with tuition fully paid. The second child that has the same or higher ability but was allowed to do whatever, is a senior in high school and is struggling to graduate and will be stuck at a community college. It wasn't my idea to allow child number 2 that leeway, it was his father's who wholly undermined me as a parent. He also has a lot more anxiety issues and troubles transitioning that you'd expect to see in an elementary school kid. I come down very much closer to Sunny's style of parenting with regard to school than Joy's, and I have the experiment in my own home to prove which is more effective. College is so competitive if you'd like to attend a good one, and doing well in high school prepares you for college.
  11. I need to revisit this, are Joe and Meeka doing the dirty?
  12. From the Instagram comments: This. They were almost at peace at the end of that reunion, agreed to be all about Big Ang, and then Karen has to continue the drama. She looked like a damn whale last night, it made me laugh.
  13. I was a little surprised that Rachel didn't mention that Corey Lewandowski is a delegate from New Hampshire in her Dark Arts piece. (NYT paywall warning)
  14. Or on the flip side, have one or a few very young dancers wander in for a a couple counts of eight to lower the age division.
  15. You'd be really hard pressed to notice that Clinton ran the table last night (probably MO is still up for debate) by the show this morning. All tRump all the time.
  16. Here's a delegate chart that also tells whether a primary/caucus is open or closed, or somewhere in between. Different states have different rules, for example if you were a D and crossed over yesterday to vote for Kasich against tRump in Ohio, your party affiliation changes until the next presidential primary in four years. But it's not like that in all states, and even if you did that you can still vote Democrat in the general elections. Nothing about your primary votes dictates how you vote in a general election, though once you vote in a primary for one party, you cannot vote for the other party in the primary (some states have primaries on different dates for different parties). Hope that helps. I adore MHP, lisp and all. That said, she had such an important voice, and the sole voice on cable news that really concentrated on social justice, I'm torn about the way that she left. On the one hand I feel like she threw something really important away and on the other, I feel like she is just living up to beliefs. I have learned a lot from her in the last four years, she really made this old dog learn some new tricks.
  17. What's wrong with that picture? Especially when you throw in frequent visits from Rick Tyler and Ben Ginsberg. I want my MSNBC back! I don't mind Nicolle though, Ana was amusing as a second stringer on CNN.
  18. Honestly, they come off as cheerleaders for tRump. The only one assigned to tRump that seems to have any sort of critical eye is Ali Vitali.
  19. Unfortunately on the comp circuit, the answer is yes here. It's always a joy to see a real crew come in and smash all of the white studio hip hop numbers to bits. ;) On a good note, I really liked the group dance a lot. I thought that the trio for the minis was really good for a mini dance as well, well done for the girls performing the heck out of it after reblocking the whole thing in a day. So Peyton is six and the other two are nine and ten? I was really disappointed for Brynn.
  20. The Clinton camp is not just playing the expectations game, they are reading the polls: Real Clear Politics Democratic Polls for March 15.
  21. Am I the only one that remembers Meeka and Joe's visit to Trump University a few years ago? They both left with certificates signed by Trump himself. That was when Meeka sold her soul and started to be okay wit Trump's pageants? Just me? I don't care what newsbusters has to say about anyone, transcription service or not. Will not click.
  22. It's been announced that she will be involved with the show this season, it's kids this season...The Next Generation or some such.
  23. I'm not a fan of much of what Brokaw says, but he is a throat cancer survivor.
  24. Tiffany has been at UPenn for the last four years during the school year. Marla only got a 2 million dollar payout from her pre-nup, so I wonder how much the support was? Did Trump pay for her home on the west coast so that Tiffany had a nice place to live?
