  1. I live in Orange County so I have been interested in this topic myself. For reference- if Shannon is still living in Corona Del Mar or close to it, right now, middle of the day on a Saturday with no traffic Cut Fitness is 34 minutes away. On that drive Shannon would pass literally dozens if not a hundred other fitness places.
  2. This is absolutely true. My husband and I just “upgraded” from our starter condo and we paid close to $1M for a run down 3 bedroom, 1700 square foot house 3.3 miles from the beach in Orange County. Anyone who doesn’t live in OC, NY, LA, or SF would laugh like a crazy person if they saw our house and knew what we paid for it.
  3. This was the ad I was presented when I went into Yolanda’s thread today. Her Lyme is infecting my phone. This was the ad I was presented when I went into Yolanda’s thread today. Her Lyme is infecting my phone.
  4. Her dad owned a restaurant-Greek maybe? She worked the register as a kid. And it was robbed--they hurt her dad, but he didn't die or anything. Platt was the responding officer to the call and stayed with her at the hospital I think? I don't know if we heard about her mom.
  5. Seriously--wtf did I just read? BETHENNY'S legal team added charges? So she is the state of New York now? That is just so ridiculous.
  6. In CA property tax is around 1.25% of price paid, it can only go up a tiny bit as the value of the home increases (due to prop 13 which has truly screwed schools and young families as the boomers just STAY to avoid having to pay fair taxes). This is the Zillow listing : http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/45389-Club-Dr-Indian-Wells-CA-92210/18092424_zpid/?fromHomePage=true the tax is actually in the $5k range which is appropriate.
  7. Oh god isn't that the truth. I had what is still frequently referred to as my week from hell when I was 3 months pregnant. I tripped in the hallway and managed to give myself a black eye on a door knob, slammed a door on my hand to get bruises across my knuckles the next day. Then finally, 3 days later, the piece de resistance-- I slipped going down the stairs at our apartment and my husband grabbed my arm to stop my fall. Needless to say, the ER to reset my shoulder (with his fingerprints bruises on my upper arm) and my visit with my OB to check to make sure the baby was ok were incredibly awkward. Those injuries, days apart, on a pregnant woman usually only mean one thing. I ended up having to switch OBs because she just couldn't get past it and was permanently extremely cold to my husband.
  8. I don't know if this has been posted--but Icki's new boyfriends pension is in the $60k range per year. Here in CA we have a public database (wwe.transparentCalifornia.com) that details any amount of money paid in salary or pension to public employees.
  9. My daughter was about 4 when she was potty trained. She is right on the edge of the spectrum, has always been delayed a bit in hitting milestones (didn't walk until 18 mos, late talker, etc) and has an enhanced startle reflex, which means the toilet flushing used to be very traumatic. We tried at 2 and she was NOT HAVING it, so we waited until she basically asked. Some kids just won't do it and our pediatrician said there are two battles you cannot win so don't try--potty training and making them eat certain foods.
  10. Great info on the Mirena. I had an IUD placed at planned parenthood 6 years ago and this is basically what they told me. There are 2 kinds, the Mirena is perpetual spotting with hormones, the paraguard is heavier periods with no hormones. I chose the paraguard and have never been happier. Beth is acting like she was going to die from a simple KNOWN by product of a common medical device. One thing to note--I know someone up thread posted how dangerous IUDs are--this was true in the seventies when the dalkon shield wreaked havoc on women's bodies. It is NOT TRUE today. IUDs are the number one contraception choice of women who are medical professionals. They are incredibly safe, and as effective as tubal ligation without the surgery or permanence.
  11. Someone did! Look up thread I can't quote two people. Maybe Jo's real name is "Regina Phalange"!
  12. So it looks like The Agency (Mauricio) and Hilton & Hyland are splitting the $200M listing on the Playboy Mansion. Did Rick decide to play nice for the money or is the whole feud just made up nonsense?
  13. They are allowed to tell if someone is a patient unless the patient has specifically said not to. They can also give vague information about condition ie fair, serious, good, etc. unless the patient has said no, otherwise, they can't give out anything else. Your aunt can definitely sue. (Source: I'm a medical compliance officer in southern California -my job is to make sure things like this don't get out)
  14. Ok, I usually lurk but I want in: 9 mos in the pen, 12 probation for Teresa 42 mos for Joe, then probation
