I respectfully disagree with this. I watch for the world building and how the series tries to answer the questions of how far would you go/what would you do to survive and to protect your loved ones. There isn't nearly enough time spent working on either of those answers for my liking but it's enough to keep me coming back. The excessive gore, violence, dead animals (RIP Shiva) and cartoon - lather, rinse, repeat - villains are why, IMO, the good gawdess invented fast forward!

My PVR recorded something Friday night. It's ~3 hours long, says originally aired Sept 15 and it's called "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, The Last Drive-In With Joe Bob Briggs". I'm not seeing anything about this here or in any schedule/list of episodes. Can anyone enlighten me?

I really missed Lucy in this one. Especially in the second last scene (at the office) when "the gang" was gathered, coming down from their adrenaline rushes and Tennant said something about knowing what "this" was about (I'm assuming she was referencing the team's closeness-Ohana). Am I missing something here? A couple people upthread also mentioned her absence, but I haven't seen anything explaining why? If there's something going on with the actress, could someone fill me in or post a link to info? At least when she was Agent Afloat there was a reason for the character's absence, but even then she got worked into a couple eps. <sigh> ... why do characters I like always disappear?

Are we supppsed to trust Isaac?, because I don't. In one of the flashbacks Elida's mom's pendant is very deliberately shown lying on the floor. This is the same pendant Isaac is now using to prove that her mother is allegedly still alive. So ... is she? Or did a Republic soldier pick it up when they took the royal family's spaceship and it somehow found its way into Isaac's possession, meaning ... nothing? ... meaning he's a bad guy? Or am I overthinking a fun fluff show that doesn't actually go that deep?

Was tonight's show pretaped? No mention of Scott Wilson and he was a big friend of Talking and a huge friend of Norman Reedus. Melissa McBride was wearing the same outfit she's been wearing in a teaser (one or more?) that's been airing in the last day or two. Doesn't seem like it could have been live. Also, why was everyone so ORANGE!? At first I thought just the 4 men were horribly orange but I noticed Melissa was a bit too heavily pigmented also. New make-up person, check your work under the studio lights next time please.

I feel like I totally missed something?, but can anyone tell me what the deal was with the VW Bug?? Strand made such a big point of finding it and pushing it to the sewer entrance and then ... pphhttt. WTF? While he was pushing it I thought maybe he wanted something small to somehow maneuver over the opening once they started down but they seemed to just leave it sitting there beside the open hole. Then I thought for sure Chris would ask about it on Talking, especially when I saw that Coleman was a guest, but, nope! Does anyone know what this was in aid of?

Good episode. I had a beef too with her jumping out of the van in the middle of who knows where but I told myself she was getting panicky about being discovered. Still .. bad decision. I was not surprised that the sweet little old lady who seemed to be alone and vulnerable - still in the middle of who knows where - and yet let a complete stranger into her home, turned out to be eevul. Can't wait to see the pretty pretty fire. I'm hoping someone can help me out with song info; after "I'm going to burn it down", and heading into the credits, does anyone know the song playing? It was a female singer and the only lines I got before my recording cut off were "We're on fire. These ?..? they burn with power" (really unsure about that second line.) I've tried a few sites like tunefind and one named the artist as Ruelle but she doesn't seem to have a song that quite matches. Help?
