  1. And Downey finally gets that Oscar! (And Oppenheimer gets on the board) Can you believe Chaplin was 32 years ago?
  2. I agree with this, Zone of Interest was a textbook showing of the "Banality of Evil."
  3. Ok, I was skeptical, but the Cena bit was pretty good. Well, Lanthimos' movies are known for their unique look, so I guess it figures?
  4. I imagine Poor Things won Best Make-Up for Willem Dafoe's getup.
  5. It's called 'mumblecore' for a reason. Not my bag, but the youngsters could do worse.
  6. This will be the token award for Barbie, along with Best Song. ETA: American Fiction, nice surprise.
  7. Well deserved for Da'Vine, she grounded that movie.
  8. Making Johnston a meth kingpin is such an obvious joke/nod that it crosses back over the line into working.
  9. I don't think she's running it, more like middle management. I don't know if Mickey's still the shot caller here, but she definitely has a boss.
  10. Classy guy, he earned his retirement. Some team is definitely picking him up, Steelers maybe?
  11. I like that Villeneuve ended it somewhat ambiguously for Paul, as opposed the unabashed hero cut Lynch gave him back in '84. And that Jessica was active in the deification of Paul as opposed to that it was just supposed to happen. Paul basically had a good heart, but that much power will fuck anybody up.
  12. Stacy Wakefield dies from pancreatic cancer less than five months after husband Tim succumbed to brain cancer. Outside of how bad you feel for their kids and relatives, how weird is that they both got cancer at roughly the same time? I'd be checking their residence for radon or something.
  13. The scientists for messing up their work. Yep. With a little help from some pissed off natives with long guns. Car accident. I thought that was answered earlier. Still a mystery. That Clark was driven crazy from guilt and grief. See above. The mine was poisoning the wildlife. The women were cleaners at heart. Like most in the film industry, Issa Lopez really liked The Godfather.
  14. I don't know who Pascal's agent is, but dude, up your fee!
  15. I appreciate the NFL trying to follow in the NBA's footsteps, but to the rest of the world, football still means something else.
  16. Can't knock the effort, it was a good show. Hard to believe he's 45.
  17. Yeah, that must've been a scary couple of weeks for Niners fans.
  18. Dre Greenlaw's out for the Niners, that's big.
  19. Jake Moody enters the record book with the longest SB FG.
