The "wala" was Jessa's.

Aww, "toot sweet" is kinda cute, and it's an obscure enough phrase to be excusable when you get wrong. "Mid-evil," "maskarade," and "wala" (looking at you, Jessa) are not cute.

I mean, it's Instagram. She posted photos. Those who are not visually impaired can look with their eyes before making a judgment?

I guess it's OK to stir up desires that cannot be righteously fulfilled as long as you're already married and there's a paycheck in it for you? In seriousness, Erin or Michael wouldn't be caught dead wearing an outfit like that, and I'm fairly certain Kelly would disapprove as well. Obviously, Kelly's beliefs aren't shifting because she's still married to Gil. The Paines and Keilens are longstanding Gothard families, aren't they? The Websters are the "outliers" here, I guess.

Jill's outfit looks really good on her, though, and her hair is up and neat. That's more than can be said for Jessa usually. (Getting toothpaste as a prize is weird, but to be fair, the toothbrush looks pretty fancy.)

For the poster who had been searching for the video of Derick being dorky on the trapeze-thing, I found the episode and uploaded the clip here:

Jill and Derick both look like Black-Eyed Kids. (Warning: Do not let them into your car!) (For those of you unfamiliar with the reference, here ya go: http://anomalyinfo.com/Stories/1996-ca-brian-bethels-odd-encounter. And for those wanting to read the original story written by Brian Bethel, go here: https://www.pararational.com/brian-bethel-the-black-eyed-kids/.)

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Pickles has the listing posted for those who might be wondering about it. -
How was she lying about it? She said she was a licensed nurse, which she is. Don't most RNs refer to themselves as "registered nurses" or "RNs," not "licensed nurses"? Abbie could have been technically specific and stated she was a "licensed practical nurse," but she wasn't wrong to say she was a licensed nurse, and I would wager those in the profession would have understood her. I don't think it's wrong to be proud of her accomplishment, especially in this group, where the most a female ever achieves (as I've said before) is growing their hair down to their ass. There's nothing wrong with being an LPN.

Sounds like Tyler's been spending too much time with JB.

I kind of feel like, who cares why he's being taught how to read? It's a skill that no one can take away from him that he can later (in adulthood) use to his advantage in the real world (or use even sooner, say, to help Sam and him escape the hovel 😉). It's far better than Jill keeping him totally ignorant? In other news, there's a new "recipe" up. I saw Michelle referenced as well as Ritz crackers and stopped right there. But I'm sure @ginger90 will post it for us in all its glory shortly.

I feel like public perception of Jill is so negative at this point, she can't win no matter what she does. In my view, she didn't really do anything wrong here. She matter of factly tells Israel, "No; you're making it up," when he initially "reads" the text on that page. The actual text says, "Sam slid. Plop!" After struggling a bit with the text, Israel says, "Sam slid in the glop," which is clearly not close to what is on the page. After she tells him he's making it up, she helps him to read what's actually on the page by pointing out the punctuation and helping him sound out the letters, etc., and Israel gets it with her (and Derick's) help. Israel is laughing and having fun throughout. Jill's been criticized ad nauseam for her own lack of education, which (rightly) calls into question her qualifications for homeschooling any children. However, here we have evidence of Israel not only being able to read at age three but showing an enthusiasm for reading, and instead of being lauded for doing something right for a change, she's still slammed.

I think Derick and Jill come across well here, and Israel is a bright kid:

I think Jessa's usual makeup look is pretty decent, actually. Of all the Duggar daughters, I'd say she comes next to post-marriage Jinger as far as having the best instinct for makeup application. This "soft glam" look (to me) looks not only weird around the mouth, but also around the eyes (why is that whole area lighter?). If any of the daughters needs professional help with their makeup, I'd say it's Jill, who always simply rims her eyes with black/dark eyeliner. Joy does the same thing, but it's clear she'd rather go without makeup entirely and is only going through the motions for the sake of feminity their accepted gender norms.

The nicest thing she can think of to say about the shirt is that the pattern blends in with spilled ketchup and mustard? Yeah, I'm sold!

I've been wondering that. When Jeremy said, "we have to make sure Jake has his food," I initially took it to mean they were going to dump a bowl full of (total crap) dry cat food out and let him fend for himself for the duration of their trip. I would hope he is more responsible than that and at least has friends drop by to check on him (I say he because let's face it, if it were up to a Duggar, that cat would still be wandering around outside).
