The gross out stuff is pretty rare, actually. I need to go back and watch that episode to remember what you are referring to.

I got on board kind of late, so maybe only bought the last two or three when they came out. Got spoiled on the Dumbledore death by some idiot on the internet a few hours before the book came out. Oh yeah, spoiler.

There is a new movie with a story based on the expanded mind premise. It really bothers me also considering all of this was debunked a while back. But maybe not as way back as 1993? I was watching the episode at the gym on my phone and so was listening more than watching. The voice of the baddie was so obviously Julian, so no mystery here. Are they saying that his consciousness was really in Julian or that a "backup" of his thoughts and memories were there. Was the phaser shot at the end murder or just destroying a backup?

My guess is fight, then kiss, then fight again.

The TV series that came after the series Breaking Away was filmed here. This was a big deal when I was in fourth grade. There isn't really the divide of the people who don't go to college vs. those who do here. Athens considers "townies" what other places would call "hipsters". They may or may not go to college. Downtown is small, but there is definitely one side which is more fraternity/sorority and one side which is not that. The Rothlisberger thing was Milledgeville, GA which is town with a much smaller college and population.

My hopes for this show are pretty low, so I think I will be OK!

The University of Georgia is in Athens. They were barred from a LOT of places in town, but ended up at some of the bars frequented by the students. A lot of the sororities and fraternities were told to steer clear of this bunch.

This was my first episode. Man, they all like to yell a lot. I was hoping to see more of Athens, but maybe that will come later.
