  1. So a day later, as lopsided as these tribes are, I am still flummoxed as to why Peachy and Burnett think a male winner indicates a great season that they can even air comments that insinuate women are airheads and followers. But most of the best seasons have had female winners: Heroes v Villains, Pearl Islands, Micronesia, Aussie Outback, Cagayan, All Stars to name a few. By this point of the season, I usually have at least one person to root for and in these slim pickings of buffoons, I think its going to have to be Jenn, guess what, another woman. The men here, including a self-proclaimed superfan, couldn't find a HII, even Russell Hantz could do that. Now Rob Cesternino was a great superfan and a male. Sorry if I'm being too bitchy about the generally underlying tones of condescension towards women that usually govern this show, but this episode was rife with blatant misogynistic sentiments that it needed to be said. And they need to retire that rewards challenge, it was a recipe for disaster.
  2. Wow, looks like the guys were trying to write a manual on how us women's minds work, didn't know that my thoughts and actions were scripted by men. Guess I should send my gray cells on an extended vacay, or wait, maybe I should let a "man" instruct me. Perhaps that's why I'm still not feeling this season. I had a lot of hopes for it when it started, where's all the greatness that Probbie promised? And this was supposed to be the most intense episode evah? That was 1.75 hours of whatever that even a broken head and a tribe switch couldn't fix. And then there was the whack-a-doodle TC that offended Probbie's botox. Maybe the episode would have been more enjoyable if I watched it drunk.
  3. So even though Adrienne was sympathetic with Kim in this episode, on WWHL she along with Camille and Taylor all sided against Kim and Brandi in all the controversial incidences this season and they would all be willing to return next season. Taylor also said she'd like to see Brandi leave. So what was the IV treatment Yo was getting at the salon? I thought they were both there for facials. And because it cannot be said enough, that desert home was to die for!
  4. Cameran's still my favorite, I like her dress style. What was up with Kathryn's beehive hair?
  5. The only thing I can take comfort on re: Brandi is that by habitually or pathologically spewing flagrantly negative and poisonous views about others, she is using precious moments of her life dwelling on the sadistic pleasure she gets by trying to destroy people around her, precious time she is never going to get back. If her coworkers can ignore her insults and threats as being banal and not worth their time, they'd win. Dealing with her would be exhausting and I wish she would be fired to improve my viewing pleasure.
  6. I'm glad I missed this episode based on all your comments. Wasn't this supposed to be the best Survivor season ever per Probbie?
  7. I wish Yo was well enough to write a blog. Not having her feedback for most of the season makes me wonder what her opinion is of everything that's gone down besides the THs. Guess I'm going to have to wait for the reunion which she apparently struggled through due to her health to find out where she stands with these "friends". I really hope she will be back next season. Or maybe we should have a Househusbands show. Vince himself would be a riot and the Ken-Maurice bromance would also be better than a lot of what the women dish out. David can continue inviting us to his big house parties and charity events. Harry can take us to the Glee set or whatever else he's upto. And we would finally have no reason to hang out with Kim and Brandi. I'm really bummed Amsterdam is over and most of it was not enjoyable.
  8. I like Lisa R and Eileen's blogs and I like their friendship and respect for each other. Hope this show doesn't mess that up like it has done to other relationships. I know its been said many times before that we wish Kim and Brandi would be fired. Honestly, I don't know how Kim wasn't after season 2 when she couldn't keep up her appearances and was a total train wreck compared to her behavior this season. Maybe they should be replaced by Denise Richards and Lance Bass.
  9. Such a beautiful boat ride wasted with BS. Why can't the RH shows be about the lifestyle instead of all this ridiculous cattiness? I would have liked to see what these rich women bought in Amsterdam (besides sex toys) and see the sights from the canal. At least Eileen took us to see some art and architecture. I don't make time in my real life to associate with childish bitchy fools, why would I want to see the same crap week after week on tv. And that whole positive make up game was a bunch of crock, I rolled my eyes at that, it was so fake. I actually liked Eileen's attempts to reason with Brandi, but of course it was a waste of time just like Lisa R told her it would be.
  10. I surprise myself by posting a 2nd time on the finale considering it was so boring. But I just wanted to say I get the feeling that Chris has had poor luck with women in the past because of location and the fact that he's quite dull. His choice felt like he thought he wasn't going to find anything better and at 33 may be there was pressure from his family that he needed to stop looking and get hitched. And she seemed to have the same opinion that he was the best she was going to find, he's financially secure, she's gaining a whole close family which is very important to her and her future would be pretty much laid out. Chris and Whitney look like decent people, so they can make it work like so many in arranged marriages that have learned to love each other even when there's no chemistry, just for the purpose of having a family, sad but true. And really, they do compliment each other in that he has trouble articulating and all he has to do is let her do all the talking in expressing feelings or making decisions and just agree with her. I don't think they're going to break up, I think they're going to go through with it and we'll get another televised wedding, this one at the Soules farm. Btw, did anyone else get the feeling that they weren't being honest when Harrison or Jimmy (don't remember who) asked them how the sex was and if they were having a lot of it?
  11. I wish this thread was opened after the finale instead of ATFR, which are officially 2 separate episodes. I think Chris' BIL hit the nail on the head when he said Becca was the more attractive option to Chris because she was not the sure thing and guys like the chase. Looks like he picked the safe option, just didn't look like his heart was in it as much as hers going into the decision. Hopefully, for their sake, he's completely into her now. I haven't been watching much this season, but wow does Whitney talk a lot and she articulates her feelings well, guess Chris can just sit back and let her do all the talking. I thought Neil's rings looked clunky and garish, didn't like any. Both ladies looked great at the FRC. The barn looked beautiful, appropriate and more personal location for the FRC, and the proposal wouldn't have been complete without the Chris laugh, lol. So that was the big shock that Harrison promised? I'm not digging either bachelorette, they're both more appropriate for the Pad. There will never be a more dramatic ATFR than Melissa and Jason. TG for Jimmy to bring the laughs, made it worth my time sitting through that last hour.
  12. Was anyone else confused by the vote? So what was the point of voting for Nina when Will could have gone either way?
  13. All drama aside, it looks like the ladies actually had a good time in beautiful Amsterdam, from the pics on Bravo.com. So good for them. Wonder how heavy those clogs are.
  14. I'm surprised to come here and see the thread already 3 pages long, did the episode air yesterday, or a preview and I missed it? Yay, pretty Amsterdam! Thanks for the trip Yo and Bravo. So funny they ran into someone Yo dated. LMAO, when Yo started with the "we're not perfect" topic, there's no way it would be anything but sheer awesomeness. I'm sorry if my reaction offends anyone, but this time I was entertained by the drama the way it played out with so much soap opera style, which is easy to do when you're sitting in the safety of your own home and not a part of the embarrassment. I wanted to award Emmys all around. The fact that they did that in public is unbelievable. I would never defend Kim, but Lisa R did go for the jugular and looked like she was going to throttle her. I don't think they even had the meal. I'm shocked they were mature enough to sit down rationally and talk about it without any bodyguards, was not expecting that. Last but not least, my thoughts and prayers to ub40fan, RIP hon
  15. Yay for the proposal which a lot of us were shipping for a few years. (clapping excitedly) I loved the sendoff that Branson got. Damn, I'm going to miss him so much. I liked the Sybil love, Robert and Edith and of course the clothes. I hope the new men in the Crawley sisters lives are going to be interesting. I can see that Henry is quite cocky, which should be perfect for Mary. Didn't care for the rude butler, I didn't need to see any Tom abuse when we're already going to lose him. Didn't care for the Russians especially since they've taken away all the Vi-Issy fun and I don't like Merton or Karagin, so hope that's definitely over. Didn't care for Lord Sinderby's illicit exploits, although it did get him to accept Rose . And I have never ever cared for the perpetual soporific Bates saga.
  16. Max looks like Sebu Simonian from Capital Cities.
  17. Yay, the show is back! Loved this episode, loved the saki house and the street dance, loved everything. As the title says, a great way to start........
  18. Dang, this season sneaked up on me and I forgot it started tonight, so I missed the 1st 1/2 hour and then had a lot of interruptions for weather updates. I was actually quite excited for this season when it was announced as the collar divide. And then to find out AR follows, my day is made :-) Did I miss much? I was actually surprised by the no collars, they got more accomplished than the others, when I thought they would be cast as stereotypical laid back, laying around, singing Kumbaya. That Vince guy is creepy, though. And Joe was a star today! Don't have a horse in this race yet.
  19. So what was the point of Camille and the 9th person (didn't pay attention to who she was) in the scavenger hunt if they were not going to get to go on the trip? Now that was some charity event, WOW! Other than that I was underwhelmed by this episode. I am so repulsed by everything Kim, so I don't even care to elaborate. Had enough. Ok, lets bring on next week, that should be more fun.
  20. Seeing as Olympians usually have a good record of winning, I'd say Nastia will win, why does it always have to be Derek. Hopefully this lineup will be more interesting live than on paper, because I'm underwhelmed. I'd probably root against Riker just because he's related to the Houghs and I'm not a fan of R5. ETA: I think they just need to announce the celebs and then let us vote who they will be paired with and not just for the one round like before, but for the whole season.
  21. I am so sick of the Mr. Greene storyline! I would like the persistent policeman to arrest the whole story and throw it into prison without a trial and throw away the damn key!
  22. I hate Rose's mom! Some people are just so miserable and can't stand for anyone else to be happy. So low! TG for Tom to take sensible control over the scandal and get it nipped in the bud. If he leaves, the Crawleys are surely going to be screwed. Awww, Mrs. Patmore. Why do we need a Denker? Don't we have enough characters on this show to have a mess like her added to the mix? Love Rose's dress at the reception. Why didn't she have a white dress and veil for the wedding?
  23. So who wore it better, Brandi or Yolanda?
