  1. No clue on Bob's new buddy, but my guess about Louise's latest nemesis is either the guy from Fig Jam or the Edison ImpersonaTor and ReenacTor (Mr. Dinkler?). And if it's the latter I'm so rooting for Louise.
  2. All the awards to Mayim tonight, I was practically shaking along with her. Also, can we talk for a second how beautiful that woman is? I'm just gonna fangirl over her for the rest of the night.
  3. A cute little video of the cast talking Star Wars and their own characters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LldzYJbvIYk I wished they'd asked Kaley and Melissa but at least they included Mayim (I seem to recall she and her boys are big fans?).
  4. Silencer: Phillip Silencer: The Family (!) Holy crap I love this show's promos.
  5. Knew it was coming, saw it coming, am still squeeing hours later. Literally, I think the effort it's taking to squee quietly so as not to wake anyone up just popped my ears.
  6. Coming at us on January 9th, 2016! From IMDB: I've only read a little ways through the book but from what I've heard people say, this is going to be fabulously messed-up. I can hardly wait!!!
  7. I've been searching youtube for a trailer every day for months. I've only read a few chapters in but if they do it any justice this looks like it's going to be the most fun hot mess we've had since FitA came out. In fact I think I'll start a new thread for it now...
  8. We have our first promo of the season!!!
  9. NOTE: Reign airs on Thursdays in Canada, meaning that the episodes are very often viewed a day before they have aired in the US. Therefore please be aware that this thread will almost definitely have spoilers for those who wish to wait until Friday night to view the new episode. Got no summary, but we do have a promo! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFlkwoY_adQ
  10. I LOVED that. Just for the ending alone. Catherine and Mary hijinks are my favorite thing. Also, Don Carlos was quite pretty, but I would have liked to see some of the historical character's infamous Crazy as opposed to his just being kinky. Narcisse is very very stupid if he thinks he's going to get away with this. I mean at the very least, what on earth does he think will stop Catherine from going to Lola and telling all? There goes that marriage. I predict Narcisse losing his head by season's end. Hopefully it will also be revealed that he knows who really poisoned Henri, it's been bugging me that that line was just wrapped with him getting away with it. Catherine deserves to know who really caused her husband's death, not to mention her children. Delphine is so blah to me she makes me miss Kenna so much more. And poor Mary, all three of her ladies got pregnant by accident while she has so many problems with her fertility. I like that Greer's pregnancy was genuinely surprising (amazing use of wardrobe -- I've been thinking about how drastically her clothing has changed since she started Madame-ing, and thought it was just part of her characterization that she was wearing less structured Kenna-like clothing to go with her new lifestyle. Pretty brilliant to use it as a way to cover her baby bump too) but I don't honestly see the drama there. The Pirate was mentioned so I think we're supposed to assume he's the baby daddy (so hard to tell time passing with this show), and unlike Kenna, Greer would have a much easier time with an illegitimate child. I'm sure it's no secret that she runs a brothel, so it's not like she has much of a reputation to spoil even as a Queen's Lady. And if she does, illegitimate children are kind of a prostitution side effect. Greer can easily say that the baby belongs/belonged to one of her girls or that the child was left on her doorstep. I wouldn't be surprised if her girls already know her condition and there's a plan in place like that. I suppose the drama left is telling Mary.
  11. Mayim on filming this episode. And also relevant, Mayim's acting method.
  12. It's funny how much more relaxing this show is when I'm not expecting Francis to drop dead any second. But here's hoping Toby has impressed enough to get another show on the CW -- it's funny how incestuous the network can be with their casting. I think I'd like to see him on The Originals, I think he may be one of the very few actors who can hold a scene with Joseph Morgan. Goodness knows he can out-regal just about any other male lead (there's a deleted scene from season two on the DVD in which Francis confronts Conde about the affair, although not in so many words. I'm convinced the scene was cut because of how insanely outmatched the actor playing Conde was -- we were supposed to feel like he had something special in him that Mary saw and we all know where that went.) I liked Claude and Leith as platonic good friends. I thought the idea of her trying to get him a good marriage was lovely, and they really seemed to have fun. I don't see the romantic chemistry, but I like the friendly affection. Never cared about Narcisse much, but loved that Catherine was willing to literally grab him by the balls during a conversation. I also liked Catherine's lady-in-waiting. I remember the talk about how this season was supposed to be about three Queens, I think they might be setting up more of an adult cast for supporting Catherine. Adelaide spent a lot of the episode doing that wide-eyed thing sh does sometimes which I don't understand and frankly get ticked off by. She's got so much good acting in her, why the deer in the headlights eyes? As her story went, I kept expecting her to suddenly discover a cache of Francis's money and/or Catherine giving her a substantial loan or monetary gift. I also thought she'd get Lord what's-his-face's mercenary armies. Something seemed odd there. As it is I don't really see how she's in so much trouble with Elizabeth pulling out of Scotland. Looks like shows of force just kept making things worse. I want very much to like Elizabeth but the acting is so uneven. She lacks the nuance to believably go from lovelorn maiden to deadly queen and comes off as not quite either. As it is I found myself liking Amy a lot more than her this episode. Forget Robert, Elizabeth should have Amy advising her. The girl's good. On a shallow note, they need to stop putting Elizabeth in such washed-out colors. I thought she looked stunning in the navy outfit, but all the yellow/gold isn't complimenting her coloring.

  14. I was screaming, "YOU COOK HIS FOOD, FOR SHIT'S SAKE. POISON WOMAN, IT'S NOT THAT DIFFICULT!" For me the part that's really despicable in the end is that when she came back to check on the boys right after turning after faking her death, she didn't kill Giuseppe. Damon was old enough to inherit, marry soon enough and take care of Stefan in the meantime. She just left them with him when she could have done something about it. Speaking of ages, WE HAVE A DEFINITE DAMON AGE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS THE ENTIRE SERIES RUN. If he was 12 on Thanksgiving in 1851 (assuming he was not like me, born late in the year), that puts his birth in 1839. Which makes him 25 the year he and Stefan were turned. Therefore the brothers have a definite age difference of 8 years, meaning that Stefan in this episode was 4 in this episode and we're supposed to buy that Ian Somerholder was playing 18 in the episode depicting his mother's "funeral".
  15. Wow, the writers are throwing Mayim at that Emmy as hard as they can, aren't they? She's putting her all into it too. Man I've been rooting for her to win for years (and not for a small part to see #Blossomwinsanemmy trend), and I think the writers are starting to really back her up now that Jim Parsons isn't a sure win anymore. I thought Sheldon was very good this episode. Still a touch ass-ish, but mostly very good behavior. Am I the only one who felt like Johnny Galecki was putting his all into the lingerie thing to try and cheer Kaley up now that her marriage is ending? Good for him for being so game.
  16. Goddam that was a beautifully shot episode. Aside from the asinine serial killer plot (frankly I'd have preferred to see Elizabeth and her state of mind while the peace treaty was being considered, but I suppose this was one of the episodes when the threat of her is meant to be more palpable than the sight of her), the whole thing was heartbreakingly lovely. Fantastic acting from all the royals. It's funny how I've seen the "screaming fit of grief" on tv before, but I think this might be the only one I've ever bought. Adelaide Kane is a hell of a saleswoman. Although one small thing was that of course I was expecting Francis to die all the time (and almost thought it was another fakeout!), and I spent a lot of this episode going "just don't die buckass naked, just don't die buckass naked."
  17. I wish I could see more chemistry between Aurora and Klaus, because I love the idea that Klaus's soulmate is of a similar level of batshit crazy to his. Am I alone in missing Hope? I'd just like to know what the custody situation is right now, and I miss seeing Joseph Morgan with those babies.

  19. Clip from the episode: Btw, am I alone in thinking that it is utterly bizarre for a guest in someone's home to walk around dressed only in a towel?
  20. Tvguide.com has the episode name as "Gayle Makin' Bob Sled", which I know has got to be a pun and it's driving me crazy that I can't --- OH! Nevermind. Just got it.
  21. I'm pretty sure it's a gun safety thing: assume all guns are loaded no matter whether you know they're empty or not, and act accordingly.
