I think Liam is only in love--and faithful--as far as his options extend. Plus he's lazy. It was easy to be "in love" with Ivy as long as there was no one else sniffing around him. Steffy seems to have always understood that but it took Hope a while to get it. Ivy will learn too. Ugh, I think I loathed Steffy/Liam and Hope/Liam equally. IMO, Liam should have never given Steffy Hope's engagement ring while it was still warm from having been her finger, and if Steffy had a shred of self-respect she'd have never accepted it. Hope should have never kept taking Liam back after he'd humiliated her over and over again. Even her virginity wasn't enough for that d-bag. Somehow Liam has trained these women to eat whatever re-warmed crap he dishes out and he apparently has no motivation to change his behavior because there's always another woman in his back pocket. His vicariously horny dad cheerleading him on doesn't help either.

Don't cry for him, Argentina. He's won two Daytime Emmys for playing that tool. I imagine some salary bumps followed those awards too. That's it in a nutshell. Whoever's been developing/writing Liam's character understands that particular modus operandi very well because they've portrayed it perfectly. What I don't get is how someone fairly mediocre-looking like Liam can pull that b.s. off in a city like LA where there are literally thousands of hot men. It doesn't appear to be the money since Hope, Steffy, and Ivy are all heiresses to varying degrees. He's kind of a small guy too so I doubt he's swangin'...if you know what I mean. I really don't understand it. She really is stunning. I doubt she's going to be soap lifer and that a prime time show will grab her. Say what now? Oh I don't think Ivy is that game of a romantic partner at all. IMO, she's more of an "out of sight, out of mind" girl versus a "go ahead, put it in my face" girl. Ugh, I hope we're not going to be treated to more scenes with her screaming at Steffy to stay away from her man. AFAIC, her real problem is Liam, not Steffy. Has TK lost weight? He's been looking particularly tasty lately in both his suits and casual clothes. Wonder if we'll get to see him in a shirtless scene soon? (Apparently he hates doing those so I'll be surprised.)

Early on the latest Maya storyline, KM appeared on CBS' show, The Talk. She didn't say anything about Maya but instead gushed about Diane Sawyer's interview with Bruce Jenner on ABC. Wonder if they'll have her show up on Big Brother as well? If nothing else, CBS is great at jumping on the bandwagon. Oh, I think it's pretty much guaranteed that there'll be at least one textbook bigot straight out of central casting who'll be all over the transgender issue in the most ugly ways possible. It'll be telling though how much of the ugliness gets shown on the regular broadcast episodes versus the "after dark" ones. It'll also be telling whether the transgender house member reveals this detail going in or if it's going to be treated like a scandalous secret for several episodes.

I don't see that ever happening no matter how popular and qualified FLOTUS is. That's an awful lot of foreign policy influence concentrated with POTUS and his spouse. On House of Cards it really created some problems in the Underwood marriage when they had conflicting opinions on how to approach certain sensitive issues. (Plus, in that case FLOTUS was way more ambitious than qualified and not particularly popular in Congress. Her husband slid her in via a recess appointment and the show basically handwaved any further explanation about how and whether that would really ever be done.) That's how it looks to me too since the show went to the trouble of explaining how it could happen. Plus the show is called Veep and IMO Selina really works better as the embittered underdog who wishes she were sitting at the cool kids' table.

I thought Ivy looked so lovely in her wedding...long puffy skirt and crop top? Is that a real style now for weddings? Seems kinda prom dress-y to me. Oh FFS, how many hasty, ill-conceived weddings has Liam already gone through for him to now be balking at one more? Good on him though for sort of telling Ivy up front that he's planning to cheat on her with Steffy (assuming he can get in there before thirsty Wyatt does). I sure hope Ivy doesn't try to get pregnant by Liam. In fact, she ought to pull a card from his old trick deck and insist that he not sleep with either her or Steffy until her immigration status is settled. So in CA do you not need two witnesses for wedding ceremony?

I wasn't looking for the message that You Too Can Win Cash and Valuable Prizes If You're an Unrepentant Addict With a Solid Enabler, Gullible Co-Workers, and the Ability to Tell Any and All Lies!!! I think that's the message the show will send if they end the series with Jackie just going on with her life still using drugs. AFAIC, she hasn't suffered near enough for the destruction she's caused and will continue to wreak if she keeps using. At the very least her kids are probably going to have trust and abandonment issues for the rest of their lives. I want to see more of a Walter White ending for Jackie versus a Don Draper one.
-
That bit at the end was either a flashback or a dream sequence, right? Because if after all this Jackie just goes right back to using and the show doesn't end with her dead, then the producers are really sending the wrong message, IMO.

I still thinks there's something hinky about Holly that isn't obvious. She might be very, very deep undercover. Just not sure who she'd be working for.

I wasn't watching much yet when Liam showed up. Was there not a DNA test done? Seems odd $Bill would just take whoever's word for it. Oh wait, he just took Quinn's word it about Wyatt, didn't he? I agree, it could be an amazing story for Bill to find out one or neither of those guys is his kid, especially with all the mini-letter opener necklace nonsense. Not sure that's a reasonable assumption to make. However, if I've posted stuff about Maya that has been interpreted as misogynist and borderline transphobic, I apologize.

Got it. However, this statement applies to people in general. Are we not to comment on things like Carter's swollen upper body or whatever's been done to Steffy's facial area either? Meh, I don't think Wyatt gives two craps about Ivy. Look at the way he's always shading her to her face. I think Wyatt yet again just wants to stick his peen where Liam's has already been. Apparently it's in the Spencer DNA. Ugh, imagine what $Bill's gong to be like once Will enters puberty.

And my opinion still stands: unless you've got solid gold connections, women who've been known successes on other daytime soaps probably should stay away from Y&R.

I know the Forrester and Spencer families generally have greater than average boundary issues but Aly is taking the blue ribbon. Holy crap, is she off her meds or something? Why do they let her pull that stuff at business meetings? Ditto comments upthread, why was she even at the meeting? What is her job besides being a bluenosed busybody? Aaargh! "We just have to understand that's how Steffy is." Seriously, Liam? What's next: "Oh, Ivy, we just have to understand that's how my peen is. It tends to slip and fall into Steffy's cooch."
-
That's some good casting for Kate (Tommy's mommy). The actors really look like they could be related. Thank you! I kept looking at him so hard trying to figure out where I knew him from. It seems like he's aged 20 years (and not in a bad way).
-
Oh Wyatt, you don't tell a woman who's already feeling a little insecure how intelligent and beautiful another woman is. Especially if that other woman is after woman #1's man. Dick move, buddy. Um, Aly, who appointed you the morality police? You might want to think two or three times about trying to step to Steffy. Who knows, you could find yourself stuck in ski gondola watching your archenemy marry your man. (And what's up with the Alice in Wonderland hairdo?) LOLing at the thought of Steffy and Wyatt together, in bed. She'd probably snap him like a twig. Steffy versus mama bear Quinn might be interesting though. IMO, Quinn = Steffy + 20 years and a trust fund.

Jennifer Bassey went all Marian Colby on a Delta Air Lines and got kicked off a flight. Heh, she's still a firecracker. I wish another soap (hello, B&B?) would pick her up.

Why did they bring that guy back? It's like he lives in some alternate reality where Maya and Rick didn't do all the shite they did for no real reason other than because they could. In his mind, Maya's being transgender is like a free pass to do whatever you want. I guess the character (and actor) is TPTB's way of trying to be extra PC about all this but the stuff that comes out of that guy's mouth doesn't do Maya's case any favors, IMO. My mind keeps going back to that day she stood next to Rick and told Ridge that if he didn't like the way they (she and Rick) were running FC, he could GTFO. Girly overplayed her hand and now she's busted. Bill could leak the story of how Maya finagled to get herself a wealthy married man, and all the nasty stuff she and said man were doing to the FC employees and Forrester family members, both in the office and at their home. Plus how Brooke and Eric were supporting it all.
-
Or it might be Liam who's most annoyed by it. He might get tired of having to reassure her or walk in on her in the middle of a catfight with Steffy. That was some Jerry Springer show stuff she had going on today. If she doesn't think she can trust Liam not to get caught up with Steffy again why bother? If it's gonna happen she won't be able to stop it unless she never lets Liam out of her sight.
-
If Bill sides with Rick and Eric then Liam should be extra pissed. I could see how he might interpret that as meaning Bill's hate for Ridge is greater than his love for his son. This deal wouldn't even be a possibility if Liam hadn't dreamed it up. I still think they should name a female CEO but I guess maybe the pickings are too slim within the two family circles.

The term "bye felicia" originated in the movie "Friday". (The movie was R-rated and the clip I linked to has some very, very NSFW language.)

If Loving You Is Wrong - General Discussion
Joimiaroxeu replied to Meredith Quill's topic in If Loving You Is Wrong
It's pretty funny over there. However, some people made a good point about how the baby should be in the NICU and hooked up to a bunch of medical stuff since he was six weeks premature. Either this is another case of TP cheaping out on the set design or Alex' girls went to the regular nursery and are looking at the wrong baby. I guess maybe there is a bigger cliffhanger... -
When all is said and done I hope everyone at least realizes that Nicole should not be trusted with any secrets. Girl can't keep her mouth shut to save her life. Loved Maya's overnighter bag. Also loved the beginning of Eric's face cracking and falling in a million little pieces to the floor. Ya backed the wrong horse, ya doddering old fool.
