  1. I think the trailer looks great - and I'm excited to see Eddie back again!
  2. Hannah's calm demeanor in the face of Sandy's near-hysterics impressed me, but I also imagine that Hannah may have felt some sense of relief. So far this season, Hannah's said in multiple talking heads, or commented otherwise that she's felt frustrated, angry, hasn't felt like herself (which Sandy has nastily commented on, too) and had to deal with Lara's existence and Kiko's departure, so this confrontation with Sandy may have come as more of a welcome release than anything. Why argue with Sandy - which would give the latter exactly what she wanted - when Hannah could just remain silent and with a minimum of fuss, get out of a situation causing her extreme stress? It's brilliant, honestly.
  3. Jim Parsons is the first guest on David Tennant's podcast David Tennant Does a Podcast With..., which is how I found out about this show, and why I'm watching it. He talks a good bit about playing Henry Wilson, what a vile man he is, and some bits later we'll see in future episodes (spoilers!)
  4. I just still can't believe that Pete, who Sandy wanted to fire for his comments to Bugsy, is still here, but Kiko, who served a bad meal, was fired. Captain Micromanager Sandy sucks.
  5. I was thinking during the show that I hope no one was playing a drinking game with people saying "thirty-year friendship," because their livers would be shot.
  6. The only redeeming part about the waste of the reunion was no Tommy! I was shocked at how out of control MJ was. We've seen her scream and look terrible before, but this was a new low for her.
  7. Man, Aunt Cecelia was a bitch. My sister and I FaceTimed the Camp Mohawk ... er, Moosehead episodes today, and I found them to be the weakest of the otherwise perfect season - of course Laine is there, of course she and Stacey bond over their poison ivy... it was too convenient. I did love, though, the Paris Magic callback. It was a deep dive into book #23, Dawn on the Coast, and the play is mentioned when Dawn is on the plane. Speaking of Dawn on the Coast, when my family visited Helsinki when I was in college, we stopped by a flea market, and I found a copy of the book in Finnish! It's called Violet Kaliforniassa (same Hodges Soileau cover, though), and it's one of my most treasured possessions.
  8. She began to sound all kinds of unhinged. Nobody came off well, except possibly Nema, so... good for him?
  9. According to the Bravo schedule, the Season 8 reunion (part 1!) will air Sunday, July 19, at 9 p.m.
  10. Re: Kiko/Leon and repeating recipes: I wouldn't repeat my recipes too often if I were a chef. It might be in their best interests as chefs to demonstrate that they can cook a variety of dishes. I remember that when Adrian left the boat, he had just gotten a position with a family in NYC as their personal chef (obviously, the family couldn't see what he had made throughout the season, but he made lots of different dishes). Anyone watching this show, or past seasons, might think, "Hmm, all Kiko/Leon can cook are Brazilian dishes/beef cheeks, maybe they can't make too many dishes, hmmm..." and decide not to hire them.
  11. The problem with Malia's "no-thanks-on-the-Master-Malia" moment is that she didn't go far enough. What she should have said was along the lines of "Actually, Malia is just fine, and while we're on the subject, I need you to put the kibosh on the 'sweetheart' and 'sweetie' and all the variants on that. I'm your supervisor, and those terms don't fly with me. Got it? This is the only time I'm going to say that." (Preferably looking Pete square in the eye as she said it.) Then she would have sounded like a real boss and, I hope, avoided that awkward meeting with Sandy.
  12. There WILL be a (virtual) reunion in July, according to Page Six.
  13. Oh, the timing. Stassi is pregnant.
  14. For all of his obnoxious bitching about Katie being a Social Justice Warrior, Schwartz should thank her for her vociferous objection to the arrest prank, since that may very well be what kept the couple on the show. As to the rest of the cast, they're all fruit of the poisonous tree.
  15. I thought a lot of the commenters' questions were right on point. They were coming for Adam and Jenna, and I was totally there for it.
  16. That was an hour of my life I'll never get back. The FaceTime segments were so fake. Because let's be honest - does anyone think that LVP actually cares about how her SURvers are doing? Like she's that close with Charli. Please.
  17. Jax will ruin all his relationships, except with Brittany, who, bless her Southern little heart, will stay with him to the bitter end, because she thinks she can fix him. With regards to Scheana, this was published on Jezebel today, and I think it makes a number of good points.
  18. I've had a herniated disc that required surgery. (My MRI looked pretty similar, and the numbness, pain... all those.) That is 24/7 pain I wouldn't wish on - well, I was going to say my worst enemy, but let's say Jenna in this case. I feel terrible for Chris, though I agree with posters that he should have been more careful lifting. Hope he's gotten treatment and recovering. The other problem with this kind of injury is that the recurrence rate is high, too, so he'll need to be extra careful in future seasons.
  19. Wait, the stupid sip-and-see episode was the finale? That's bullshit! Grrrr.
  20. Scheana can be embarrassed all she wants, but the first rule of reality television is: they can only use what you give them.
  21. Paget and Ciara show a good balance of professionalism and romance. (They've been together long enough, I suppose.) Adam and Jenna just suck. Good on Ciara for calling out their behavior - but it should have happened 3 charters ago.
  22. Do we know why the finale didn't air on Friday?
  23. I've thought this so many times. Brittany dreamt about her wedding, and what a dream day it would be, but I doubt she devoted one brain cell to what the actual marriage would be like, and how much work marriage is. (I know some friends who did this, too. The aftermath wasn't pretty.)
  24. Her parents will swoop in and do the bulk of the childcare. I have no doubt.
  25. I found it interesting to watch MJ while Tommy was screaming and ranting on WWHL. There was something in her eyes while he was going on and on, but I can't quite give it a name. Fear? Acceptance that this is her lot? I have to give the WWHL win to Adam and Reza, unfortunately. I hate all four of them.
