He gets an A for effort LOL

When Jaime said we were at war, I thought what?! If there was a war, he was the one who started it by pushing Bran out the window.
-
Not unpopular with me. I've never liked Jaime so there's that but I think Alfie Allen is one of the best actors on the show. I was pissed with Theon but I did see why he did what he did and could understand. And I always felt Theon was conflicted with what he did as opposed to Jamie. And as I mentioned earlier, Theon finding the strength to save Sansa when he couldn't even find the strength to walk out of that cage when Yara came to get him sealed my love for Theon.

Next to Sansa and Theon, this was my favorite moment of the episode. And yes "my little crow" had me all smiles.

These 2 need a prayer circle

Plus Theon was eye witness to one of Sansa's most humiliating moments when Ramsey raped her. Something that always stuck out to me was how paralyzed Theon was because of what Ramsey did to him but when it came down to it, he found the strength to save Sansa. He was even willing to go back to Ramsey so Sansa could escape and I don't think she will ever forget that.

Did the little scared face girl remind Davos of Shireen?

I absolutely love when Theon turned to Sansa and said he wanted to fight for Winterfell, if she's let him. Theon made a huge misstep when he went home and let his father turn him but now he is loyal to Sansa and the Starks. I love that.

Sansa and Theon jumping the wall at Winterfell is one of my favorite moments of the series so when she ran and hugged him I was done ...

@Clanstarling I think Robert was the oldest.

Love it 😂

Didn’t see it from this POV but I can change my mind and agree that Jon didn’t lie if he meant he was saving his people from the living not the dead.

Sansa Stark: A Direwolf In Sheep's Clothing?
GodsBeloved replied to Carrie Ann's topic in Game Of Thrones
Plus Cersei has a weapon for the dragons. They were able to wound one so it's more than reasonable that they can kill them. -
I love that scene too. One of my favorites of the entire series. The Starks, as a family, are definitely among my favorites and I'm indifferent to Dany. I didn't think it wise to burn the Taryls but I don't crucified her for it. I don't even take issue with her killing them, only the way she chose to do it because as others have said, optics.

Lord Umber told Robb what he was going to do after hearing Robb's instruction on who would lead the vanguard. He informed Robb that he would lead the vanguard or he would take his men and go home. He even called Robb boy. Robb responded that when he's done with the Lannisters, he would root Umber out and hang him for the oathbreaker he was. Umber stood, tossed his plate aside and told Robb he won't stand there and swallow insults from a boy who is so green he pisses grass. All of that disrespect and Grey Wind hadn't moved. It wasn't until Umber reached for the weapon on his hip that Grey Wind attacked. We even see Theon jump up at this point. I didn't take that as Robb sicing GW on Unber for disrespect. GW attacked when Umber was about to become physically threatening.

I love Davos, I really do. I wonder if they can/will leverage this strategy against the dead. I may watch BoB tonight. I think I remember Tormund and maybe even Davos saying something like What is he doing? Though I'm not sure if it was when he was charging to get Rickon or after Rickon was killed. Jon charging ahead of their plan after Rickon had been killed makes it worse imo because Jon went completely against the plan because he was bloodthirsty. I get that I do but it became more about him than the big picture.

The entire post and especially the bold part ... You and me ... Great point about Jon always choosing love over duty. His rearend doesn't belong on the throne LOL

Right. I did say Jon had it harder. I also agree that another advantage Robb had was having Jamie was a bit of protection for Sansa and Arya. To be honest though, I love the Young Wolf and lament his death as much as I do Rickon's but I think he would have acted the same as Jon had it been him. The idiot blew up the agreement with Walder Frey because he was so in lurve and look at how that turned out. Arg! Now I'm pissy with Robb again LOL So back to this episode. So, the NK, does he only come out in winter? I don't fully understand that aspect yet. Can he and his cohorts survive/roam about in the summer?

This reminds me of Robb and Cat in season 2. She wanted him to trade Jamie for Sansa and Arya and Robb responded that he couldn't do that. Cat I believe said something else and Robb told her it wasn't that simple and she knew it. Robb was a brother and commander too and I believe he loved his sisters as much as Jon loved Rickon. Definitely a hard place to be in and Jon had it worse imo because Rickon was right there in his face which I think made it harder for him to control his emotions.

He didn't call Kate's name specifically. He said something like "I spoke to Jack and they are on their way".

Every time I watch that episode I lament that Rickon did not zig and zag. I don't care how good a shot Ramsey was, trying to hit a moving target, one that was not only going forward but moving side to side would have been more difficult and I think had Rickon done that he would have made it to Jon.
