  1. Adam might not have thought to verify the pregnancy story but someone in his family (probably his father) was smart enough to insist on a prenup. Unfortunately, that prenup ultimately lead to his death. But ... did Aria ever get any money from his estate? Seems that the money was tied up or she couldn't get her hands on it. And, when things got hot in PR, she went to Italy.
  2. Remember that the two people who have been to IOTI have been from different tribes. They didn't/won't have a chance to share their experiences until the merge, unless there's a tribe swap in the near future and assuming that both make it to the merge. Regular Survivor watchers have see that "three jugs ... choose one" option on other seasons when a person goes to a different island during the episode.
  3. Downsizing in McKinney Texas. I hate to see episodes like this ... gives Texans a bad rep. Most of us don't downsize from 5000 square feet to 3500 square feet. Nor do we pay $$$ to move a tree that our son grew from an acorn years ago. That first house that the realtor showed was so obviously wrong for them. What's the point of purchasing a house and then "bumping out" walls to get the room that you need? The wife was still playing the "breast cancer survivor" card 14 years after the fact. So, she could get her vanity and her playroom for, as yet, non-existent grandchildren. Fortunately, she's married to a guy who was willing to give up his media room for her (and those future grandchildren).
  4. Things have changed a lot at Angola over the past 25-30 years. Back then, prisoners did earn $0.04 per hour and now it's $0.02 per hour. Prisoners were also able to receive "packages from home" (books, shoes, clothes) as long as they contained a receipt for the merchandise enclosed. Then, rules were changed so that "home" had to order things from a certain list of retailers (Amazon, JC Penney, hobby suppliers) and have them shipped direct. Now, clothing and shoes are prison issued and prison approved. The shoes have part of the sole cut away so it's easier to track an escaping prisoner. Most of the menu includes the vegetables that are grown there. There are also "fishing holes" on the grounds. So, the men can fish and eat what they catch. Luxuries ... candy, cigarettes (now banned), cookies ... are purchased either with what the prisoner earns or, more common, money sent from friends and relatives. Friends and relatives can also order some clothing and foodstuff from Union Supply several times a year. There is death row and there is also "the hole" where prisoners are send for infractions of the rules. And there is also the hobby shop where prisoners can create items that they either give to friends/relatives or sell at the rodeo. The rodeo is one weekend in April and four weekends in October. In addition to the rodeo, there is a large arts/crafts area where prisoners sell paintings, leatherwork, iron work, woodwork items that they made in the hobby shop. The prison gets a cut of the price; I think it's 30% commission. This is the one time when you can drive a private car on the prison grounds. Otherwise, you park in the parking lot and ride in a bus (like Lester) to a meeting place where your prisoner comes to meet you. As the prison population ages and limited paroles are granted, I can see a larger hospice area in the future. IMO, the prisoner (Montgomery) was denied parole because he's the one who filed and won the court case against the Louisiana Prison System.
  5. Agree with everything previous poster have said about mom/daughter in Paris. What got me was not only daughter's on-again/off-again accent but her clothing choices. Her pink coat ... 'nuff said about that. Then when mom came to visit several months later, she moved daughter's phone charger. Guess that will show daughter who's in charge.
  6. South Africa Mom & Daughter: Didn't catch this from the beginning, so didn't really understand their relationship dynamic or how they ended up in South Africa. Seems that mom still had the majority vote in the relationship, though, because they ended up with the apartment that she preferred.
  7. Austin House Hunters: At least with them choosing "build your own", both were able to get what they wanted. She had the kitchen and terrazzo floors; and he got his huge bathtub. Was amazed, though, HH visited the couple again 11 months after they chose a home and it was still a work-in-progress.
  8. It's going to take me a while to learn all the kids' names; so, if you can help me out here, please do. I thought the second place boy (the one with the huge grin who's "excellent at everything") would have won. The first place went to the boy who covered most of his splatter with other decorations. Oh well ... I wasn't there and I didn't taste them.
  9. So "up to here" with the constant promos of Christina's show. Haven't watched it but, from the snips shown, it doesn't seem that she's doing anything different as far as her designs. And the TV promos aren't enough for her or Ant. Every day, there's a newsy article about her baby bump, her exercise routine, her diet, his surprising her with something fabulous ... and on ... and on ... and on. Enough already!

    Chopped Junior

Well, the kids are back. I always feel bad for the kid who's eliminated first. Last night I thought it would be the kid who burned the beef tongue. In fact, he burned his compote later in the show ... and still ended up winning. Go figure!
  11. Ok ... I know my memory isn't the greatest but ... didn't Meagan Martin compete last week in the Oklahoma City edition? Are competitors allowed to compete in several different cities ... or is it one city/one chance?
  12. I'm not unhappy with the open vote for U-Turn. It gets a lot of things out into the open instead of people running off in groups and forming alliances and whispering about other teams. Team Bromance will always have a disadvantage in that they're older, not in great shape and really can't run to pit stops. This one particularly hurt because the run was uphill. Not liking that there are too many opportunities to level the playing field when teams are bunched at airports and they're all on the same flight or when they arrive at a designated place and have to wait for it to open, allowing others to catch up. SNARK ALERT: I think Rachel was sans makeup/eyelashes was that they ran out of them and Elissa won the toss to see who got the last remaining pair. Though that pair looked like it was been reused.
  13. Finally sat down and watch the first episode of this season. Loved the recap at the beginning but then got a bit lost. Are we supposed to be able to read the screen and notes that Maddie is viewing? If so ... my eyes aren't that good. I'd have to pause the story to do that.
  14. LOL ... the lady from Vegas is a hairdresser.
  15. I've noticed that, too. But, also noticed that in the more recent episodes, he's more covered up with long sleeves and jackets and crew neck or turtleneck shirts ... even in Las Vegas where his client is wearing dresses with spaghetti straps. On another episode, it looks like the hand tats have been covered with concealer of some sort. Still think he's doing a great job working with such a variety of people and their requests.
  16. Count me among those who are enjoying the Rick Devens show. He's playing a heck of a game and enjoying himself ... and, I think, the jury is lapping it up. I keep wondering about Lauren and her idol. Has she forgotten that she has one?
  17. To those wondering why the newsman didn't give the advantage to David: David's tribe wasn't going to tribal that night. They won (second place) the challenge that time. It was Aubrey's tribe going and, perhaps, that was the only person on that tribe, other than Wendy, that he knew anything about. And he wasn't about to give the advantage to Wendy.
  18. Only watched the first 15 minutes or so before I turned it off. The contestants were so hyper (did they find Nancy Fuller's secret stash?) that they reminded me of the Kids Baking Championship. I can bear that with the kids ... with the adults? Not so much.
  19. I keep wondering if Lauren will end up in the same camp that she's in now. If she has to go to a different camp, he won't have time to retrieve her idol from the place where she buried it.
  20. New Season - April 19, 2019!
  21. Started watching the Holiday episodes the other night. In most of the episodes, the people weren't looking for homes in October-November so they could be in and decorated for the Holidays. No ... they were looking in Spring, Summer. You could tell by all the leaves on the trees, the flowers in the yard. And, the funniest part was when the house was decorated for Christmas, all the windows had shades or blinds drawn. That way you couldn't tell that there wasn't any snow outside. hahahaha!!

    S37.E13: Finale

I lost a lot of respect for Christian after he was voted out. At his Ponderosa, he was pontificating about the game ... he sat in the jury box making faces as if he was the only one astute enough to understand what was going on ... and, finally, he voted for Mike. If he's never invited back, fine with me.
