  1. Thinking that the Powers That Be may try to even out the tribes next week and take one person from Blue to go to Yellow. That gives each tribe 5 people. It would be an interesting twist ... instead of a swap ... to keep the tribes even as they go forward with the season. And never have a merge. Also ... we haven't seen anyone on the other tribes (Blue & Green) looking for an idol, but it must be happening.
  2. Glad you mentioned watching the show with subtitles instead of dubbing. I don't know if it's my TV or my ears but a lot of the dubbed dialogue got lost. Will have to go back and rewatch with the subtitles.
  3. In the UK, the new season starts on January 10 (Sunday) at 7:45 pm on Channel 4. No mention of HBO Max showing season 4. https://www.facebook.com/GreatPotteryThrowDown/
  4. Better late than never. Finally watched Season 6. My thoughts echo several of those who posted earlier. I like that Maddy has matured. She's really become a beautiful girl and accomplished actress. Didn't really follow that whole thread with J. Edgar. Couldn't tell who were the good guys and who were the bad guys. Looking forward to Season 7 even though I wonder how they'll film it (if they haven't already) with masks and social distancing.
  5. Didn’t Tyson. Buy peanut butter before he won that challenge to get back in the game? And didn’t he hide it? So what happened to it? I don’t recall seeing it after he went back to EOE.
  6. I keep hoping that the "powers that be" allow more clothing on future seasons. I'm tired of seeing people in their underwear ... men and women.
  7. This time around, players aren't given a choice of going to EoE or to some variety of Ponderosa. They're all told to gather their torch and go to EoE. That being said ... I wonder what some of these players would have decided if they had been given the choice.
  8. Sandra's idol wasn't valid past this tribal council. She couldn't play it for herself because no one was actively targeting her and playing it would be really suspicious. So, she did the next best thing ... bargained it away for two fire tokens (even though she only got the one up front). It made sense from her point of view ... the idol wasn't wasted and she was "buying" a potential ally in Denise. Too bad it backfired on her.
  9. A few other thoughts: ** Why does everyone assume Tommy is going to the end? He isn't exactly a challenge beast. **. Did anyone else see Noura walk up to Dan in camp and give him a hug? ** Wish there would be a water/swimming challenge now ... something that Janet might be able to win. **. Was Dan's inappropriate touching of the production person the first time that happened? Or had he been touching that person (and perhaps others) on other occasions? **. Will the Jamal/Jack bonding moments be celebrated or ignored at the Reunion show?
  10. This makes sense to me. It wasn’t the next morning; it was after the next (final 6) immunity challenge. So next week can start with the final 5 immunity challenge.
  11. If the incident happened after the immunity challenge, why wasn’t he removed then? Why did they go to tribal council and wait until the next day to remove him?
  12. Dean won’t be able to use his fake Legacy Advantage but he can still use his idol blocker. And the only one with an idol is Janet. And she has to use it at the next tribal council.
  13. Dean needs to keep Tommy around for his own sense of well-being. If Tommy goes, Dean’s left with all the women and Dan. Don’t actually see him being buddies with Dan and that many women make him uneasy. Dan’s “red tag losers” and other comments in front of his son are, most likely, not the worst things the kid has heard his father say.
  14. Karishma is building a resume, albeit a low-key one. Surviving this vote by playing her idol is a major building block of that resume. And, her "speech" as she played her idol showed that she's not a slouch when it comes to a closing argument. If she gets to F3, expect her to show more of that side of herself.
  15. Me too. Maybe CBS could have an hour of Survivor and then a half hour dedicated to Ponderosa!
  16. Opinion piece from Variety about Survivor sidestepping the issue. https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/survivor-island-idols-sexual-harassment-1203411590/
  17. It's like Dumbo having the feather made it possible for him to fly. 🙂
  18. Crickets!
  19. Does anyone watch "Dateline: Secrets Uncovered" on Oxygen? It's basically reruns of the two-hour shows but they've managed to cut them down to an hour (with commercial breaks) without losing any of the good parts of the stories.
  20. Wondering ... What happened to the chickens? Were all of them killed? Is anyone fishing these days? Is the rice being replenished regularly? Does it seem like there are way too many full moon nights for 39 days?
  21. Personally, I don't think Dan will quit or be removed from the game. I remember reading somewhere that, before last week's episode, Elizabeth was extremely excited about what went down (i.e., the #MeToo strategy, eliminating Kellee and Jamal) and posted something like that on her social media account(s). She didn't expect the blowback from the audience. So ... now, she and Missy and Dan (their ally) are in the catbird seats. They'll probably eliminate Janet and Karishma. Another possibility is Aaron, if he doesn't win immunity.
  22. WOW!! Life at Ponderosa is amazing (so far). I can see these three being friends outside the game.
  23. IMO ... all this questioning and posturing by Jeff during recent tribal councils is his way of making up for the fact that his talk show was cancelled. It's not enough for tribal council to be relevant to the game; it also has to be relevant to current social issues as well. So he probes and questions. And, by the way, in the past, he's said that he doesn't know what goes on daily at the camps. When he happens on a tribal conflict, it's just happenstance. Well ... now production/Jeff are admitting that they do know what's going on ... that they review happenings every day.
  24. The new Bosch book (The Night Fire) is dedicated ... For Titus Welliver, for breathing life into Harry Bosch. Hold Fast.
